San Francisco Federal Credit Union

After having a terrible experience with Bank of America, I knew it was time to switch to a credit union and I am so glad I did! Since I was in the area, I decided to visit the Burlingame branch and was warmly greeted by Nhung Chan, who is a branch services representative. After asking me a couple of questions regarding what I wanted in a bank, she explained to me that SF Credit Union has only 1 type of checking, savings, and credit card account. Oh, and unlike BofA, they don’t do hidden fees and give you the money that you store in your credit and savings account. Say what?!
I opened a checking and savings account the same day without a minimum fee and was informed of all the discounts I had just for being a member. For instance, they have relationship rewards discounts on Cal Academy, Costco, Enterprise, Hertz, Sprint and much more! In a few months and after establishing a good relationship with my bank, I’ll go ahead and apply for their credit card since you get 1% for every dollar you spend and the interest rates are as low as 5%.
I’m so happy I’ve found a bank that I can count on!

Needed to pay off my Credit cards So I could focus on school and other things got a decent loan rate and the customer service was pretty good. I have an auto loan with them but not made a payment yet so will see how that goes… Overall happy about my choice!

I am trying to give this bank a chance but I feel that at every opportunity they fail. I had to make a change to my checking account for my auto loan. The paperwork clearly states the date authorized to deduct my auto loan and they deducted it 2 weeks early. Luckily, I had money saved up in my other account for the payment to go through. When I called about the error, the banker made it seem like it was my fault. I explained everything and advised her that I even have a copy of the changes. After reviewing the paperwork, she apologized and said that she doesn’t know why it was drafted early but will make sure it will draft on the correct date next month. I still have my money at a larger bank corporation as I do not trust the credit union with ALL of my money just yet. Hopefully, my next bank transaction will be smoother.

The service at SFFCU continues to meet my needs. I love the new website!!! The branch continues to give great personal service! Thank you Burlingame Team!

I went in shopping for a motorcycle loan and found an amazing one. Thanks to Achiles and Jeremy for your wonderful help and answering my many questions.

Worst bank customer service. First you walk in to an empty bank, no one in front greets you. I walked in and the 3 representatives were just hiding behind their desk. I turned around to head out and suddenly one of them comes out but when i asked about ira information she just giggled and asked ira? Independent retirement laughing and was not serious about any of the questions just was goofy. She did not take it seriously. I cant believe how unprofessional her reaction was. Anyone can ask about it not just because one is young its going to be a joke.

I was very pleased with the excellent service at this new branch. They offer some of the best rates on credit cards and are very helpful. I would highly recommend their financial services. Achiles made the process very smooth.
