Such a pleasant surprise! Everything we had here was prepared with care from quality ingredients. The hotter items were hot — but not too hot. Even the desserts were good — fried banana with coconut icre cream and mango pudding — were delicious. In addition, we ordered a respectable La Crema Pinot Noir that was not marked up 300% like certain restaurants I could name. The service was solicitous and friendly. We’ll be back.

What a find! Met the owners a few weeks back and they invited us to try out their Burmese/Chinese place. Close to home. Check. Friendly service. Check. Clean. Check. Good food. Check! A great mix of Burmese and Chinese dishes. We ordered five dishes and all were delicious! They have a Cat Fish soup that is fantastic! Sweet and Sour chicken was crispy, sweet, and really done well. Veggies were fresh and perfectly cooked. Already planning on going back for lunch. There were a few«new to us» Burmese dishes the owner suggested we try but we were already full. Give it a go. We will be back for sure.

Terrific décor. We definitely over ordered for two people but everything on the menu looked awesome and the prices were on point. We got the Tea Leaf Salad, Garlic Noodles w/BBQ pork, and Curry Coconut chicken noodles. The only reason why we didn’t finish was because there was too much food! Somehow, the Garlic Noodles tasted even more amazing left over(even though they were already terrific fresh). It’s in a great location so you don’t have to worry too much about parking, which is another reason why I’m giving them 5⁄5 stars. Would come back again whenever I’m feeling Burmese food!

This spot is good. I usually get it as take out as it is just down the street from where I live. My go to is the tea leaf salad, somosa soup, and some noodles. I would have to say the Burma Super Star is much better but it is further away from where I live. Very nice people and good food. Def worth a try!

Yangon has become one of my favorite take out restaurants. It’s always consistent and delicious. The tea leaf salad is good and generous, lots of nuts and and big size overall. The mango beef is my personal favorite. It’s tangy, sweet and the beef is very juicy… Yum. The Burmese curry beef is also very good. GOT& Yangoon every Sunday…

I really hate writing this review — Last night in town and WAAY to tired to walk/drive/go and get food… Unilocal points me in the direction of this place and on paper its perfect — close to hotel, delivers, the missus and I can agree on what to eat). We order and pay, and it gets there FAST. The food(beef and broccoli and mongolian chicken and crab wontons) was EXCELLENT. Veggies were crisp and meat flavorful. Why 3 stars you say? There is a $ 30 minimum for delivery; not bad and again, you are bringing my lazy arse food. Mongolian chicken was supposed to have vermicelli(there was none). Beef and veggies should have come with rice(there was none). Beef and veggies carton was ¾ full Called back and asked about the missing items — was told that the noodles were there and I had to order rice, dish does not come with. I have never ordered white rice separately. NEVER. To the restaurants credit, they did deliver rice(a quart container full — I had more rice than meat and veggies LOL). Although I will not go back, dear reader, be warned…

The whole dining experience was a 3 stars for me, but thinking that may be because I’m not a fan of Burmese food, I give it a 4 stars. The food’s flavor was overall enjoyable, but the meat quality was superb! Very tender and juicy chicken. I will not come back, but I would recommend all other Burmese food lovers to try this place. Recommend: — Mangolian lamb — Nan Pya Toke

I really was surprised and in a good way. The food was super fresh. The flavor of everything we ordered was spot on. The sesame seed orange chicken was sweet and crunchy. It wasn’t over breaded. The chicken and vegetables was garlicy and savory. It was hard to chose what was better. We had beat of both worlds. Sweet and salty type. I would give it a 5 star even though they didnt served soda. But water was good too!

By far some of the best Burmese food ever. Yangon will exceed your expectations. We started with Tea, that aroma and taste was like pikake flower fragrance on your tongue. Then we all ordered an entrée each, walnut shrimp, pumpkin pork stew, chow mein noodles, sesame orange chicken. So Ono broke da mouf!!!

A little surprised to be writing this review given the number of 4 – 5 star ratings. Came in for lunch at 11:45 and the place was empty. We always order Tea Leaf salad at Burmese restaurants, so of course we got one to start. It honestly tasted a bit off. Perhaps there was too much oil or the leaves weren’t what I was used to, but it definitely wasn’t great. The restaurant is advertised as Chinese/Burmese, and so they have an extensive menu that spans both cuisine types. For our mains we ordered a Wonton Soup and Kung Pao chicken. The Wonton soup was basic(just mushrooms, spinach, peas, and wontons), but the broth was good. Most of the meat had separated from the wrappers. The Kung Pao chicken tasted like char from a dirty wok. The quality of the chicken was terrific — all white meat and cooked to perfection, but the sauce was just plain bad. Also, I don’t normally complain, and fortunately we were towards the end of our meal, but in the last 15 minutes, a family with 4 or 5 screaming kids walked in and the waitress sat them at the table right next to us, an arm’s length away. Our lunch turned from tranquil to chaotic just like that. The restaurant is massive and was completely deserted otherwise… so I’m not sure why we had to be stacked on top of each other. With the many amazing Asian restaurants in the neighborhood, I won’t likely be coming back here.

My experience at this place is worth of a review! Came here towards closing hour with no wait. Waitress was very polite, attentive and thoroughly explained the ingredients in each of our dishes. Compliments to the chef for the nice presentation and taste. Palata was perfectly fried. Tea leaf salad had a right amount of tea leaf for a subtle taste. The coconut curry with noodles is a must try if you are a fan of curry. Pair your meal with the Kawaba beer too. I will be a returning customer in the near future.

You know you’ve become a regular when you come and they know exactly what you order down to the specifics! I’ve also called in to pick up an order and they know my voice and my name and ask if I want the usual… The service here is superb! The people who run the place are just the nicest most respectful people. They cater to customers’ needs and are so friendly. I love the relaxed atmosphere and the cleanliness of the restaurant too. I also love the food. Burmese food is comfort food to me. If Chinese food and Thai food had a baby it would be Burmese food! I’ve loved everything I’ve had here from the Nan Gyi Toke(coconut chicken curry over rice noddles with crispy onion wontons and hard boiled egg) to the mango salad(with a lot of mangoes and killer citrus dressing) and crispy chicken wings(similar to Korean Garlic Soy Sauce chicken wings in flavor, but waaaay more garlic). Not to mention, the price is reasonable especially for the area. Come here and experience what they offer from the delicious food to the warm service!

Great place to order takeout! Was suffering from a day long hangover(damn… I hate getting old), and reallyyy wanted something super savory. Saw Yangon pop up on Unilocal and knew I had to get it. We ordered: — Tea leaf salad: super pungent(per usual), but perhaps a little too pungent. You can control the amount of fermented tea leaf you want to add though! — Palatha appetizer: the chicken curry sauce that came with this was AMAZING. Holy crap — the most tender pieces of chicken ever. So good. — Wor Wonton soup: This was pretty standard — but good if you’re looking for soup!

We came, we saw, we won. At least, that’s what each of us thought about our orders although I still think I won with mine! How often does *everyone* like their dish??? Delicious food, nice service and good price. I’m a big fan of mingalaba on Burlingame Ave. Yangon is located on Burlingame Abe’s little sister Broadway — more parking and much more laid back. The menu was somewhat different than mingalaba — most of the items I didn’t recognize but that didn’t stop us from trying things. During lunch, the meals started with a small mango salad which was very fresh and flavorful. Our orders were very noodle based and I want to go back and try them all. Nan pya toke Nan gyi toke Yangon noodle Mango chicken Definitely going back!

service was fast. Lunch was pretty good. Got the sweet and sour chicken w brown rice. E got the chicken and broccoli. Everything was good. Brown rice was a lii overcooked but other than that great. And great milk tea too. The owner and maybe wife were super nice! Would definitely visit again when staying in Burlingame!

We went to Yangon with some Friends in search of another good Chinese Restaurant. I must say that we are very fortunate to live in an area where we can enjoy so many excellent Restaurants with top quality cuisine from all over the world. Certainly we were not disappointed with our experience last night at Yangoon. We had first the Palatha(lLayered Bread with coconut chicken Curry sauce) So good that next time we will double the order. The Musho Pork and Samusa Salad also very tasty and served by the Owners Frank and his lovely wife just superb. We will be back for sure and continue bringing our Friends.

After eating at 2 Burmese restaurants on Burlingame Avenue, we tried Yangon. Previously, this location was Vietnamese/Chinese and not very good. We have been driving by this location for many years and now we think we will actually come back a second time. Since this is Burmese/Mandarin we weren’t sure which dishes were Burmese We started with the tea leaf salad, a typical Burmese dish and really liked the contrast of textures and the well blended, but unusual flavored. I am allergic to peanuts so they excluded peanuts from the salad. Great tasting and nicely presented Main dishes were mango chicken and curry pork. Mango chicken was not sweet, but had a nice blend of flavored. The curry pork was good with a nice curry scent. White rice kept the flavored from clashing Unlike Burmese on Burlingame avenue, there was no wait and dinner was just over $ 50 including tax and tip for two with one beer. Our server was very sweet
