The dishes are authentic and comparable if not better than most of the restaurant in Boston Chinatown, without the parking hassle and pricey parking. The place is also much cleaner than those in Chinatown

Average customer service at best. Average dining experience. Dinner was hot and pretty good. Overall, just average.

I have read many bad reviews and I have a $ 75 gift certificate to unload. It is a surprise that the food is excellent. First, I ordered from the Chinese menu and second it is a weekend when the chef could be different from the regular one. I had beef with Chinese broccoli, pepper and salty pork and calamari and a fish dish. The beef is tasty and tender, the pork is tender too and calamari seems to be very fresh and the fish dish is nice and hot. The best is they did not use too much MSG that I normally can tell. Try it out and be your own judge. It could be one of the best Chinese restaurant in the area.

Went back to the Boston area recently to visit the kiddies in college and went once more to Mr. Chan’s in Burlington MA. Again it didn’t disappoint… coming from NYC I always have low expectations of chinese food outside of NY but Mr. Chan’s is pretty authentic. I read some of the reviews and I find it funny when people post stuff about service… our service was fine but in a typical chinese restaurant you really don’t expect 5 star service. The service was fine… the food was authentic and great which is saying a lot when you’re coming from NYC. Thanks Jack(really nice manager there)!

Ordered vegetable pad Thai last night and the only vegetable that was in it was a few shredded carrots. Now today I wake up and my stomach is turned and I’m trying not to vomit. Cant eat anything and the thought of eating the leftovers makes me sick. Not really liking this place.

Well, I decided to give Mr. Chan’s yet another try after a long time away. The service has picked up which was nice to see. The ladies gave you some attention as they should as a customer. I did notice they still only gave you ONE spoon for tea even though more than one person ordered tea. Very turned off that they charge $ 1 for a pot of tea. Most Chinese restaurants offer it complimentary. The fountain that at least was pretty to look at has been broken for some time now… since the last time I was there which was a looooong ways ago. I think the owner must be too cheap to fix it? The prices have GONEWAYUP! NO Ambiance to even weigh against the prices they are charging now. Food portion has NOT changed, Flavors the same. Honestly, just okay food really, nothing to brag about. The white sauce on my dish was bare to find. I would have liked to actually see a sauce. It was basically your food tossed on top of dry white rice. Sorry, I can do that at home! So why pay the high prices? Oh and portion same as lunch time and lunch COMESWITH a soup, but on the dinner, they charged me $ 3.95? I would not have ordered the soup if I knew I was paying for it. Really lame to not tell the customer. They did include some oranges sliced up after your meal, but who cares really. Just for myself to get a dinner, my child a dinner and spouse just a dish without anything added, oh and 2 beers, was well over $ 55? Sorry, I will pass at Mr. Chans moving forward. Plenty of other mediocre Chinese restaurants to go to. Really, nothing to DRAWYOUIN here… Won’t be back.

I come here once every two weeks with my parents, always very consistent service and food. The staff here is extremely nice, they’re just always so kind and happy and pleasant. Average to above average food but hey, who really has amazing Chinese food. You get what you pay for here

Quick delivery and yummy food. A little stingy on the shrimp in one of the dishes(only 3 pieces in a large order but other than that it is a great place for a delicious meal. Huge menu with something for everyone.

So salty and no real food flavor. I was really disappointed. Not worth the fact that they deliver to the mall!

Time has passed and so has this place. The taste of the food is bad, presentation and food volume proportions are not great… unless you like plain rice. Not sure what happened, but its really a shame that its so tough to find good Chinese place in the area. Making it worse is the cost.

Everything is bad. I ordered shrimp fried rice for delivery. The shrimp is so small and the rice smells wired. The quality of their service is extremely bad. So rude!

This place is a disaster, not worth trying once let alone multiple times. My food was literally cold and I was the first person in for lunch, so how can that possibly be? The sauce is the most horrid garlic sauce I’ve ever been served in a Chinese restaurant. The parking lot has virtually no cars in it every day they’re open, including dinner time. This place is in trouble, it’s only a matter of time before they close their doors. The rent in that location on Middlesex Tpk must be atrocious, there’s no way they can make money at the rate they’re going. There are way too many other great places, go somewhere else. Terrible!

A harsh rating I know but let me start with I used to love this place I was good for about 3 times a month with the family and at times by myself. Ok well we just left chans for the LAST time !! This was 3 times in a row it was SUBPAR this particular time it was completely horrible ! This place has slipped so badly I don’t what happened truly ! It tasted like my plate was microwaved just mush the Orange beef was mushy with a bizarre after taste the pork was all fat and the Lo mien was hot in the middle and cold on the outside microwaved for sure. This place was my go to place now it’s my never go again place

I’m so sad, it has slowly been going down hill for awhile. Today the family and I have gone for the last time. We ordered dinners and 2 appetizers and ask for apps. First(which I always thought came first anyways), BUT yes of course my meal came first, then apps. Came and then 1min. Later the other meals came out . The Peking raviolis didn’t have much filling and the Orange beef was mushy and definitely microwaved, lo mein was cold on outside and hot in middle(MICROWAVED), rice was good, crab Rangoon good, rest of meals meal ok. The place was empty on a Sat. Night, which was not the case a year ago, again sad . So to sum it up the help does listens and food stinks.

I don’t know what it is, but I feel this place isn’t as good as it used to be from two years ago. I used to order lunch here once a week, now I order from here maybe once a every few months. The rice in the lunch combos has been soggy, and the crab rangoons has less filling. Maybe I need to dine-in to see if that makes a difference. But as I stand now, the rice is too soggy, the carb rangoons doesn’t have much filling, and chicken fingers has way to much batter.

My coworkers and I are regulars at Mr. Chan’s Asian Bistro, located in the large plaza on Middlesex Turnpike in Burlington(also another located in Milton). The waitresses know our preferences; chopsticks, hot chili oil and extra vegetables in lieu of the rice for my tall friend. We’ve been coming here nearly every week for the past year whether its just my tall friend and I for lunch or a company luncheon with the whole inside sales department. The restaurant is modern and tastefully decorated. Seating is mostly comprised of small tables for two or four but they can accommodate larger parties in their semi private area or by the back wall. The Asian Bistro offers a wide variety of options from Traditional Chinese menu offerings found in Chinatown, «American» Chinese food(You know, like pork fried rice and chicken fingers), as well as Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese staples. Although I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, it never dawned on me to take photographs for my blog. This post will feature mostly the«Chinese-American» dishes and I will update in the future.(I Promise!) Their traditional Chinese dishes menu(only available in the Burlington location) features House Special Bird’s Nest, Hainenese Chicken, Seafood in X.O. sauce, and other dishes like seafood and tofu casserole. My favorite is the fried salt and pepper soft shell crab for $ 18.95. When I am feeling broke, I opt for the calamari. Their fried salt and pepper calamari is just like the one served in Chinatown. They have really good Japanese gyozas and shumais. They are available steamed or pan fried. Read more adn see food pics at

Mr Chan’s has fairly good quality mainly americanized chinese food. They have an ‘authentic chinese menu’ but it’s limited and they don’t have every item in stock every night. Dishes have very large portions but nothing was great, it was just good. Prices are also high for chinese food, the prices on their website were outdated and were a few dollars more than the website showed. We had spicy calamari, minced beef and parsley soup(high quality and very good), and beef and chinese broccoli. No complaints but nothing really stood out either. Service was fine. Food was slow to come out but everything tasted fresh and hot. If you’re looking for decent chinese food this place will do, but i do think it’s worth traveling to Boston or maybe even Lexington/Arlington for some better Chinese food.

I don’t know if you realize but your«service» is worsening. I am a frequent visitor at your Burlington location. Your service started out bad when you opened but slowly improved so I gave your restaurant many chances. I again came with my family as we often do but again, the meals were not given to us correctly, language seems to be a barrier? I do not feel like constantly sending the food back. We don’t get drinks for the kids ever unless we ask? They forgot last time to send in one of our orders and we all had our food except one in our party. The Manager did not offer anything to us free like rice? Just brought us our late order? The restaurant only had 3 tables that included us and the servers were all confused? You really need to improve your service and the food is starting to lack. The pork is ALLFAT in the rice and quite gross. We decided not to go back. We thought since regular customers, we should get good service, but I think your servers think since we are regulars, they don’t have to try? Best of luck. We are NOLONGER going to be «regulars» at Mr. Chans. It’s a bummer actually as their food was good. But slowly getting lower quality, smaller amounts and I am sorry, the servers are very very nice and friendly, but lacking big time in service. They need to get someone out their to train them. And the Manager needs to offer a freebie if they screw up so much. My last visit before this, I had a vegetarian guest with me… they put MEAT on his plate TWICE!!! Really??? Language? Get some English speaking servers please that can understand.
