Inconsistency is the death knell for any restaurant. Having said that, and it may just be my dumb luck, we’ve always had really good food from this eatery’s several incarnations. Tonight was our first foray with delivery. Joe got his go-to: their special Pad Thai with chicken. I got their red curry with seafood. A bit nervy, but no regrets. The mélange of diced seafood was cooked – not overcooked – even though the salmon, I think, had been grilled first. The special spring rolls were excellent and hot hot hot! Everything was. Phuong herself delivered the food and I was so happy to see her. We’ll be doing this again, I’m sure.

I may never learn whether the food is good from Phở Nguyen, as we ordered for delivery almost 2 hours ago and it has still not arrived. When I call, they say it is on the way.

This was the first time I walked out of the restaurant after I had a menu on the table. I went to use the restroom and it was so disgusting in there that I flew out of that place. There was no toilet paper, no soap, walls covered with what I can suspect the worst… I yelled to my hubby to bring me a napkin and told him, «you were right, we are not eating here!» There were dirty shot glasses inside the restaurant on the bar counter after last night, not cleaned at noon! It was one time I felt good about changing my mind

I ordered the ginger chicken. The sauce was really watery and the chicken was very dry. The veggies were pretty good and not mushy which I liked. I also liked that there were big chunks of real ginger root in there. But really this was just okay. Not terrible but not super exciting either. Also the restaurant itself is pretty sketchy looking — I had takeout and I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to eat in. The service was very nice though.

The phở place by our house was closed, so we figured we’d try this place. Ordered online, said 20 minutes. Got there on time, waited another 20 minutes. Phở was average, cuts of meat and meatballs were unimpressive and the broth wasn’t exactly popping with flavor. Ordered a side of dumplings that were cold and stuck together when I got them. They were flavorless. Roommates didn’t like their orders either. We all felt the ingredients weren’t fresh. It seemed like the broth wasn’t made scratch. All in all the highlight of the meal was the mango juice we got on the side, which, came from a can.

Love the Pad Thai! The crab Rangoon’s are tasty with the duck sauce that has a little kick to it. They did a great job sprucing up the place. Nice big bar area and a pool table. Friendly staff and owner. Only downside is the parking. Great if you live in the NNE and pick up takeout on the way home from work! Must try!

I’ve ordered take out and dined in several times. My favorite is the pad thai and red curry. I’ve tried other similar establishments and it didn’t come close. I’d highly recommend it if your craving Vietnamese or thai.

I wanted to love this establishment and the food it serves, but after vomiting and other shenanigans for the past 14 hours, I’m more than unimpressed. We are staying in Burlington for a conference and Phở Nguyen was one of the only restaurants that deliver to our hotel. We ordered Pad Thai and crispy noodles. Pad was flavorless and gummy. Crispy noodles were quite tasty going down, not so great when it all started coming up six hours later. Had I eaten more than a banana during the rest of the day, I would wonder if something else was the culprit. Too many coincidences that point to food poisoning for a repeat performance.

Excellent food to enjoy, eat-in or take-out, especially the hot and sour soup that really tasted different than many other hot and sour soups that I liked at other Asian restaurants.

If you want your order to arrive late and incorrect and brimming with flavorless food then by all means, order for here. «Can’t you eat it the way it is?» is not the correct way to handle an incorrect order, especially when related to a food allergy. AVOID

Don’t be fooled. Food was bland and took really long to arrive. Service was slow but the waitress was really polite and nice. The Pad Thai was basically vegetables on a pile of noodles. Don’t come here. My stomach hurt after my meal.

Really great find. Why wait in line when you can have great Vietnamese and Thai food in a simple but clean setting.

THE best Phở around. The broth is close to heaven in my opinion. The egg rolls are great. The bun is incredible. Tom yum is amazing. All very well done and generous portions. These guys know how to do it right — even if the service can be ‘interesting’ at times. It’s part of the charm for me. I can’t speak to take-out, but dine-in the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is super fresh, well priced, and just plain delicious. Since changing from Bamboo Hut to Phở Nguyen with a new chef, this place has hit a home run.

I cannot really judge the food accurately because I always get it cold. We now ordered it for the second time as delivery. Both times delivery came at about 2 hour mark. My understanding from now talking to friends that this is a common issue for their delivery. So it’s a solid 1 star for their delivery service.

pad thai was AMAZING. we loved this place when it was bamboo hut and now it seems even more consistent and flavorful. I would recommend mango sticky rice for dessert– or just a snack! its sooo delicious. Can’t wait to try more dishes, though im addicted to the pad thai. Also they deliver– which generally takes a long time but its well worth it

The broth is the key to great phở and Phở Nguyen’s broth was delicious. We went on a snowy nasty night and the phở just warmed me up. You can add basil and bean sprouts to taste. My brother had an excellent hot and sour soup which was different from the usual one I make. It contained lots of fresh vegetables. He also had Singapore rice noodles with beef which he enjoyed. The staff was very kind and positioned a space heater for us to help drive away the cold. They also have switchback ale

This is a quintessential hole in the wall place with amazing food. The restaurant itself was run down, but in a way that gave it a lot of character. The food was excellent — I got the bun and my dining compatriot got the phở, and both were really awesome. The egg rolls were excellent as well.
