All your last minute essentials, but a bit pricey. Weak beer selection but definitely an established convenience store.

This is a good deli in the outskirts of downtown. They have good subs, which are on the generous side as far as how much they put into each sandwich. They are also the self proclaimed best meatballs in town. The meatballs are good, but I don’t know about the best in town. They are obviously homemade, and the sauce tastes fresh. The rest of the convenience store is mediocre at best. They have a weak beer and wine section, and the other goodies they are offer are sparse and overpriced. This is a deli at heart, and this they do pretty well. The staff is always friendly and attentive which is always nice. They have also been working on opening a diner right next store, so will see how this endeavor treats them. As a deli this is a pretty good place to stop for a sandwich, as for the rest of the place – well its alright.

Oh Radio Deli, I miss living next door to you. I’ve been going to radio deli for a couple years now, and am shocked that when I mention it to people they have no clue what I’m talking about! Best meatball sub in town hands down. I always crave a meatball sub and in the past would get them and could instantly tell they were frozen meatballs and canned sauce. None of that here. The meatballs and sauce are homemade, and DELICIOUS! They remind me of the ones my dad used to make. Get it on a baguette with provolone. I also frequently get their chicken salad wrap with swiss cheese and honey mustard. Some of the best chicken salad going. Today, I had tamales(apparently every Tuesday is Tamale Tuesday. WIN!) and they were FANTASTIC. I’m not even exaggerating when I say some of the best I’ve ever had. They were moist and seasoned perfectly. Todays tamales were chipotle chicken served with red or green salsa and sour cream. I opted to get both salsas, but the green really blew me away. Fresh tasting, lots of cilantro, just delicious. The rice and beans were also very good. For one tamale served with rice and beans it was only $ 5.00. The price is right indeed. Breakfast sandwiches are another home run. 2.99 with bacon or sausage. CHEAP! I love when places know how to keep food costs down without compromising the quality or the taste. Radio Deli gets an A+ in my book. Plus the staff is SO friendly and fun.
