Food here is absoutlely terrible and the drinks are overpriced! The Bloomington one is awesome. I live right behind this piece of shit jn Burnsville and this isnt just one bad expierence. They just cant seem to get it right.

Went there for the all you can eat fish fry, it was lacking. The batter was wimpy, it didn’t stick well at all and the bottom was soggy despite just coming out of the kitchen. The cole slaw felt… fresh, but not in a good way, like they just tossed it together just moments ago. The service was great, I didn’t feel neglected at all. The gals kept my drink full, asked me if I wanted to get another order of fish fry in, it was awesome. I’d go back for the service, the food was not very impressive.

Not as good on overall execution compared to the PRCH on Normandale in Bloomington. Dark, dingy, and dated. Empt every time have been there. I’m a strong believer in the«the truck driver rule». Find a full place because it’s full for a reason. The same is true for an empty place. Weak on service. Go to Clive’s instead.

Great food good portion size. Juicy Lucy was great. The atmosphere was pleasant, the waitress was very nice. The Sunday buffet looked huge, but was not part of our groupon

On a Saturday night we got there at 730. It was wide open. They have 2 dart boards, buck hunter and golden tee. The blackened chicken dip was really good. For the 6 of us, over 40 yo, we didn’t want loud music or big crowds so this was awesome!!! We had a great server, I told her I wanted the bill for the evening and she honored that, which earned big points in my book. She was pretty attentive and when she couldn’t be there another server helped us out. We had no problem keeping the drinks flowing! It’s hard when u have a large party to keep track of how many drinks were ordered. So, Just watch out for how many drinks you r really buying. Is there an app for this??? Now there’s something I could use.

The purpose of dining here was recon for an event that will be held here in February. It was after 5 and still happy hour. I ordered a Tap beer. Appetizers not in a Red box were $ 3 off. I inquired about the Ahi Tuna appetizer and was told you get 3. Decided against that. I ordered the Thai Peanut Wings per other Unilocal suggestions and I enjoyed them. A disappointment was the Captain Crunch Chicken Fingers. Out came 4 flattened chicken breasts in panko breading. I tasted No Captain Crunch cereal and these were sent back. I also ordered a 2 Gingers Irish Snapper drink. This was 2 gingers whiskey, peach schnapps and cranberry juice. It was good, and only after stirring around the drink I could taste the Irish Whiskey. Service was spotty and I had to walk up to the bar to ask for a glass of water. Husband and son ordered cheeseburgers. These are $ 9.99 and big, husband not liking onion bun. Brought half home to dog. A glass of pop is $ 2.99. Discussing this place in the car, unsure if we’d come again. Nothing stood out. Seemed to be adequately staffed but lots of workers standing around. The place had 4 tables at 6:00 on a Saturday night. They need to replace outdoor carpeting outside. First impressions are everything.

Family friendly, reasonable and great service. We had the Thai wings(#nom), adult mac & cheese(highly recommend!), French dip and kids Mac & cheese. Definitely returning and highly recommend. It’s a great place for a casual meal and time with friends and family in Burnsville.

I visited mid-August 2015. I’m a bit of a beer-and-wing nut, and I must suggest the Thai Peanut wings! They are excellent. They are $ 10 for about 10(or a dozen?) wings, and VERY good. The sweet chili sauce on the side goes wonderful with them. Pizza Luce’s also has very good peanut wings in case you are looking to compare. I was a bit turned off at the price of a tall Mich Light. It was something like $ 5.75. Wow, about a $ 1.50 more than I would expect(and pay) at other places. Kind of a turn off. But I’ll be back for wings!(and water).

I have only visited Poor Richard’s in Burnsville once so far. The food and the wait staff were good. However, in order for this restaurant to succeed, I feel that it must create it’s own identity. To start with, update the décor, make it unique. This location has seen a few different restaurants come and go(rather quickly) since Benchwarmer Bob’s closed about 10 yrs ago. Each restaurant that has occupied this space since has simply moved in, including Poor Richards. It still has the damp musty feel of the old Benchwarmer Bob’s. I think that investing some funds into the overall atmosphere and updating the décor would go a long way towards ensuring some long term success with this restaurant.

Had a bad start when we asked the waitress for two additional minutes to view the menu before ordering and then she never came back but luckily the hostess was happy to take over and she did a great job. I had one of the burgers with«thick cut bacon» and was disappointed to see the thin strips they put on the burger. The bun was a bit dry also but I’m used to hamburgers with softer buns so maybe that’s specific to my previous experience. The fries were great and I’d say the price at 10.99 with fries is middle of the road for value. Overall I would try this place again but please give the carpet a good cleaning to remove the musty smell. This is the former location of Benchwarmer Bob’s and later Carbones and I wonder if the building is a bit too large for this restaurant. Maybe they have enough special events to fill up all the rooms upstairs and downstairs.

Went here a few weeks ago. Canadian Bacon, Sausage, Mushrooms, and Banana Peppers… made for a fantastic pizza. Who would have thought that this would make an amazing pizza haha. Don’t know about the other food but my experience was great

Didn’t get someone to stop at our table until we were there 15 min. Margarita was worse then Ground Round. Food sub par. Got the roast beef, barley any gravy. The signature fries only had salt on them so I guess you could call that seasoned. Nit going to come back.

Ordered the bacon nutter burger which was pretty good. The place seemed empty but then again it was noon on a Saturday morning. Could definitely tell it was new, as they were still getting their bearings, but this did not affect the quality of service or food. I’ll admit that I prefer the location in Bloomington, but this one still had good food for pretty good prices, depending on your choice. Not really a place for brunch, but would definitely recommend for dinner or late night goodness.

Expensive poor drinks, annoying loud DJ, mediocre food. Typical PR. and girls smoking in the bathroom? Does anyone manage these places?

2nd time I’ve tried Poor Richards. The waitress was attentive and we got our food quickly. I had the pot pie with mashed potatoes. Highly recommend! My friends had nachos and walleye wrap. Both enjoyed their meals. Only thing to complain about. My friend asked for hot water. The waiter brought the hot water in a plastic water cup, the ones you usually get your ice water in!?. Not a mug. My friend couldn’t pick up the hot glass because there was obviously no handle. Silly mistakes, in an overall good experience. We will be back.

I frequented this place a lot when It was Carbone’s. The drink specials, food, pizza and staff were amazing and it was one of my favorite places to go. Visiting it for the first time since it became Poor Richards I was less than thrilled. The décor and everything is the same but the crowd is completely different. Before it looked like everyone was either on there way or coming back from playing golf, softball, or volleyball. The people I had become so used to was replaced with middle aged individuals and hipsters who really looked out of place. The drinks seemed to have less alcohol than anywhere I have ever been. The«Happy Hour» drink specials weren’t very happy, it seemed like a pint was the same price on special as everywhere else at full price. Carbone’s offered 2 for 1 on everything. that deal is long gone. The food… I ordered a burger, the meat was good and cooked to my liking. However, the bun was overly dry and crumbled apart leaving me to eat my burger with a fork. I probably wont be coming back here

Can I do less stars? I have never been treated so horribly– I was harassed by a bar patron, and instead of being helped, the situation was allowed to escalate. It’s a very good thing I was sober tonight. We will not be back.

Food/Drink: Got one of the burgers with jalapenos and it didn’t disappoint. I was actually pleasantly surprised that both the burger and the toppings tasted pretty good. The bun could have used some more stability, but overall did it’s job. Unfortunately, that was the high point. The fries were run of the mill and the fish and chips didn’t even rate a «meh». I’ll stick to the burgers and try the salad or buttermilk mashed potatoes(yep, believe that) as a side in the future. Ambiance: With a big restaurant comes great responsibility and this place is just too big. You enter and you’re restaurant on the left and bar on the right. The bar is hopping, but it’s even too big. Trying not to compare it to previous iterations, the whole place just doesn’t seem cohesive; games, banquet room, back bar, pillars, front bar, patio, pull tabs, your dog/cat/goldfish in the corner… who knows? Service: Pretty good. They’ve got their rotations going well with the food being delivered quickly when ready. Drinks were ready and when we needed a minute to order she obliged happily. Overall: Here’s the thing, if I want to get in and get a burger or do a happy hour without being crowded up this is the place I’ll go. Added bonus that it’s south of the river and can easily cover the noise of a family with plenty of space to stretch out and run. Safety is the burger, but then again who wants to be safe… will come here to eat.
