Lived in Sawcreek for 4 to 5 years now. It was good when they had chef Jeremy, but since the these old folks that run this place wanted their old manager back, so this is what you get, bland food and a boring time at The Top Of The World!!! They are lucky I gave them a star!

I gave one star because you have to in order to write a review. It deserves a negative 100! My parents have owned a house here for almost 30 years so I have seen the ups and downs of this place. Wow are we really on a downer. There was a time they had a really good chef and the food was very good. Since that chef left it has gone down down down. Tonight was the final draw. Apps: French onion soup was bland and had zero salt. The cheese was non existent and the bread was hard as a rock. I am a French onion soup guy, how do you have a rock hard piece of bread soaked in soup? Fried calamari — tasted ok although there were more banana peppers then calamari. Main dish: I was going to get a Caesar salad with shrimp but when you screw up onion soup I won’t take my life in my hands with shrimp. So as an alternative and last option, I went with the pasta bar. I go with just pasta with red sauce. There was next to zero flavor. No salt no pepper no garlic nothing. Was like someone boiled tomatoes and served them over pasta. We generally go for the karaōke. There used to be a great guy joe there. Now there is a guy there that uses CDs. Yes CDs and they are scratched and the music stops. All we want is a guy to play songs. Hell I can get every song off of YouTube and it would play perfectly. Oh yea and the karaōke guy thinks we come here for his show. However a positive is our waitress Nicole was excellent.

Great place to stop by after a long day of hiking, skiing, shopping or just hanging out. Always look for the special holiday events. I find them to be very affordable.

Stopped by to have a quick lunch. There was a political meet and greet going on but our waitress/bartender handled the chaos well. I had a Ruben with steak fries and it was great. The bread was grilled well and didn’t get soggy from the saurkraut.

Eating at this restaurant did not make me feel as if I was on top of the world, and felt more like I was burning in the pits of hell. I was extremely upset with the customer service I received while dining at this restaurant. I ordered a dish that was not close to the description listed on the menu. When the waitress asked if something was wrong with my order, I stated«yes». Rather than asking if I could get something else or taking this meal off our bill, she simply replied«I’m sorry.» After this last experience I will not be returning.

great for weekend getaways, food at the restaurant and the tiki bar get two thumbs up. There are 6 pools indoor/outdoor. Lots of kids. DJ on Friday, and Comedy Saturday night.

I’ll start by saying Top of the World is at the bottom of my list of places to ever go back. The service was awful, which is almost impressive since we were the ONLY people in the restaurant for lunch and there were 8 people«working». They gave us glasses of water that tasted like sweat(seriously disgusting), we had to ask the bartender to place our order, and the atmosphere was super uncomfortable while waiting since the entire restaurant was dead silent(no music playing, no background noise, no chatter, just silence). When our food finally came, the chili was cold and the«corn salsa» with the chicken dish was basically store bought salsa with canned corn added to it. The wings were the only decent dish we bought… When it was all said and done, the soup that was supposed to come as part of the chicken dish was added on to our bill as extra, so we kindly brought it to our servers attention. When trying to fix it, the server said it wouldn’t save us much and simply took $.04 off vs $ 4.00! The manager coincidentally asked how our meal was, so we were brutally honest. He kindly took a few bucks off our bill(which for some reason wasn’t reflected on the receipts we signed), and said we should have spoke up sooner since he doesn’t put up with that kind of s*#*. Long story short, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.

My husband and I rang in the New Year at Top of the World. We couldn’t have made a better choice for a place to celebrate. The food, ambience and service were awesome! We just moved in to the community on Christmas Day and were immediately curious about the amenities. Top of the World has surpassed my expectation with their friendly service and friendly atmosphere. I personally went to the chef to congratulate him on his cooking. We’ve dined there three times since moving and have not been disappointed. I’m very pleased that the restaurant is located within our community and there is a variety of entertainment to be had there. Last night the manager came around to greet us and welcome us to the community and the staff quickly learnt our names by the time we returned a second time. I think that is paying attention to details to ensure our experience is a great one. I look forward to many great times at Top of the World. Karaōke last Friday was a blast. I’m looking forward to returning for more great times and excellent food!

The new manager has the staff cleaning and paying attention to the details that may have been missed before. Some of the older residents are resistant to some of the changes as I was in the beginning. Of my two previous complaints, rare prime rib and no wi-fi, they have adjusted their prime rib and it is really quite delicious. I don’t know why they advertise wi-fi. No one knows how to use it and some of us younger people are getting frustrated. The food has been really great lately and being able to take a rum and coke poolside is pretty fun, I have to say. We go every other week, sometimes more and it is good food for the money. More staff has been hired and there’s a loyalty card. Finally, the regulars make the place fun and I hope the changes keep the regulars there.

Been going here for nearly 30 years. Miss the original host, who I heard passed away. Lots of nostalgia tied here with me. This place would have had a 4-star rating in it’s hay day, but I can tell when it’s on it’s last legs, especially when it went from a high brow dining experience in the 80’s to a Karaōke Friday place and buffet brunch Sundays. Some signature dishes, which they pulled was their Maple Syrup Glazed Duck with Wild Rice, and their Escargot. They still do offer the Prime Rib on select nights and Apple Cinnamon Pork Chops. The menu has changed to fit less refined tastes of the changing demographic. The beer and wine list are also reduced to common fare. This restaurant would stay closed sometimes for months on end, and without notice of re-opening. The views on top of the mountain are spectacular, and being close to the community pools, and ski slope are extra pluses. It is also a shame the ski slope so rarely is in operation. Being located in a gated community of ever falling property prices, and low brow vacationers buying into the area has made this once great establishment, a dulling jewel in a growing rural ghetto.

Top of the World doesn’t do so well in the atmosphere department greeting you with a pungent chlorine smell from the pool they share the building with and a somewhat thickheaded waitress that asks if you have reservations even though less than a quarter of the tables are filled. The inside is very spacious and their chairs have wheels on them(awesome). The are a lot of menu options but most of them are fairly basic meat and pasta dishes. The beer selection was very disappointing. While the waitstaff is efficient and friendly, they couldn’t pick up the slack for the food preparers as our entrees came out no less than thirty minutes after we were done with our appetizers. The most stand out thing about the food here is the ridiculously large portions. Our table of four shared two appetizers but no one was able to completely finish their meal. I had some sort stuffed chicken dish with mushroom and a side of veges. Other than being insanely big, it was incredibly tasty. The rest of our food was uncreatively but solidly executed. All of our food tasted good but with one exception. My little brother got a kid’s menu burger, which was awful by any standards and borderline inedible. It came with no lettuce, tomato, onion or cheese, just a tiny, dry, unseasoned patty cooked past well done. We finished the meal off with a brownie sundae that was expectedly huge and one was more than enough to share and actually quite good.(Reviewer’s tilt — plus one star).
