Denny’s

We stopped here while traveling the 5 fwy. 4 stars for the very friendly and efficient hostess and server. 1 star for the run down & dirty restaurant with nasty bathrooms. This restaurant is in desperate need of an update. Our hamburgers were tasty.

Thank you, Denny’s staff!!! We called ahead with a bus load of 40 hungry kids and they totally accommodated us!!! Tables and staff were ready for us and service was great! We will be back! Thank you, ladies!!! Happy kids make the next stretch a lot easier!

This Dennys is independently owned & made me a Belgian waffle, extra crisp, because I needed some carbos to keep me awake on I-​5. Kudos to my server Anita for being so energetic. You can’t miss her just follow the wake she makes in the air as she sits you & delivers your food. Anita calls everyone «babe, sweetheart, doll» & maybe even «honey.» The general manager Breelyn is great at making you feel at home. I can’t believe she manages & cooks at same time. What a multi tasker. The owners should give her a raise because she works like three people. I asked, she isn’t one of triplets. Will drop a pin on my favorites on my iPhone, to stop in Button Willow next time I need to wake up from a coma, pointing my car down I — 5.

Service was great, staff was cheerful (Thanks Anita) and the cranberry Apple chicken salad was delicious!

I am only giving 2 stars since my fruit bowl was fresh and oatmeal was hot. Our eggs were very over cooked and our waffle cold the butter didn’t even melt. Bathrooms were unkempt. You could smell the bathrooms in the restaurant.

This was the worst Denny’s we’ve been to. We had to stop off to get gas and dinner driving to L.A. County and I never did get my coffee and my soup was lukewarm. My husband was given his chicken tenders without any dipping sauce or pico de gallo. He ordered a meat patty by itself and they put his party on my hamburger !! The waitress never came back to check on us ! I don’t know why I even bothered leaving her a tip !

Feed the the lunch time hunger pangs on the way home. Better than the fast food options nearby.

Do not recommend it. Small portions. Over priced food was burned. Waited 45 min for dinner. Spoke to manager gave us a discount

Very very scary place to eat… Food was iffy at best, bathroom was atrocious… out of milk out of bananas etc… Avoid at all costs!

My family of five stopped in from our long trip from San Francisco. We decided to stop by this Denny’s for dinner to recoup for the next coming hours. We normally have a good experience at other Denny’s diners.
So we ordered our food (mom orders a salad with pieces of beef, dad orders a custom meal with a garden salad and sirloin, younger sister orders pancake puppies and youngest sister orders kids spaghetti). Our utensils weren’t on the table until a while after our food was served.
Some items weren’t on the menu this night (salmon and Cesar salad). Since it is dinner time after all, we expected that there would be such items on the menu by that time. Not a major problem though.
It took longer than usual for the food to arrive, but that was when we noticed some problems with the sirloin and beef salad. The sirloin was really raw (my dad specifically requested medium rare). The pieces of beef in the salad was burnt to a crisp. A small bowl of grapes was included with my dads sirloin meal. There was mold in a few grapes.
To be frank, we expect our food to be where it meets average expectations. If a customer requests something, it is expected to be near or on the dot with that request.
However service was good, so I’ll bump the rating to three stars.
We consulted the waitress and boss of the facility and she had the burnt pieces of beef replaced with better pieces. They also took the sirloin meal off our tab.
Other than that, this branch needs to step up their game. If this review was vague in any way please ask or specify. Hope this helps in some way.

Service was slow, the food came but no utensils. Ordered t-​bone steaks for myself & my gf. Both of us got food poisoning, she threw up 6x & runny stools, as for me my stomach was just in pain. It was the most miserable 200 miles before getting home to San Francisco. Don’t eat here as you will get both, bad service and food poisoning. I wish i cn give no stars.

Food was well prepared. staff was very nice. it was a fast service. I was overall satisfied with the food that I received. I will go there again.

Food was good but service was very slow. It took 45 mins to get two burgers. Our waitress never brought us our check, so we had to walk up to the cashier to find out how much we owed. If you want a quick stop, do not stop here. We wasted 90 mins of our travel time. Next time Mickey D’s!

Waited 15 minutes to just order drinks… we’ve now been here a full hour and our food hasn’t even arrived… traveler beware… it’s not the place to stop if you got miles to lay down.

When at the mercy of the 5 south between San Francisco and So Cal, choices for fine dining are limited to fast food and Denny’s. Tonight we chose Denny’s and we hope to live to tell about it. Seated at a booth near the hostess station we are brought water that had so much chlorine it turned our hair green. Several moments, decades passed and our order was taken. I picked the New California Club and wife ordered the Super Bird. Both sandwiches came with seasoned fries. The sandwiches were OK but somewhat disheveled. Service was extremely slow and with very few diners there were no excuses for slow service. Last but not least the restroom, simply gross, smells and mechanically functions poorly. Looks like our quest for fine dining in this area will be limited to Subway or Jack in the Box. Leave it to Denny’s to keep our expectations in check.

I used to be a regular at Denny’s in N. Cal while I was in the military and have always had a good experience. This location needs some help. Coffee cup had lipstick on it. At least the waitress tried to be amusing by asking me if the color was my shade. Haha, but still doesn’t address the poor hygiene for this restaurant. I asked for a side of mayonnaise, which I received with some sort of black object in it. Again, I returned the mayo. I think it was a piece of makeup or other charcoal like product because I was able to create a long black streak on a napkin with that black material. We still ate our food, but with caution. Food was good. I’ll still never return.

The staff was very nice. Food was well prepared. Restaurant was clean. To the waitress who did the thing: Yes, I saw you do it. But I also saw the regret on your face as soon as you turned around and saw me. You’re never too old to change. I’ll never tell what I saw you do. Don’t give up on yourself.

Terrible service, we waited for 15 minutes after they sat us. No one took our drink order or food order. We got up to walk out– 2 of the 4 people on the floor saw us and didn’t even make a comment.

THIS DENNY’S SUCKS!!! We stopped by here for gas and to have our dinner before heading back to the Bay Area. The worst/​horrible waitress ever. Shawn, I believe is her name (white old lady). She is such a grumpy old lady. Someone needs to freakin retire. If you don’t like customer service, then lady you are in the wrong industry. Sheesh! She has a hearing problem and when you try to talk loud to her, she gets pissed off and gives you an attitude. Maybe try to be nicer in the first place, lady!!! Your attitude sucks big time!!!
NEVER EAT AT THIS DENNY’S!!! Such a horrible restaurant!!! The waitress/​service here sucks!!! This should be ZERO stars!!!

Not worth the money or the time.
About what you’d expect from a Denny’s EXCEPT it was burnt and over cooked. We should have just gone to McDonald’s.
The dining room was also dirty. The restrooms were ridiculously filthy. For example, there was a large, sticky, shiny sheen of old urine around the urinal on the floor. Gross! My wife said the women’s restroom was also filthy with dried poop on the wall!
The staff were all very nice. This didn’t make up for the other crap – literally.
