Michael’s Pizza

I’ve been here a few times. I like the pizza but it is really greasy. The pasta is not very good but I do like the sausage. The garlic bread is always overdone and tastes like charcoal. Customer service is nonexistent. Today I ordered the pizza lunch special and added on a side salad. The lady looked confused when I asked for ranch dressing. I guess she didn’t understand that I wanted a salad. I was charged $ 1.50 for the dressing. I tried to ask her about it when I realized she was not going to bring the salad, just the dressing but she was too busy talking on the phone to even acknowledge me. The owner is a little nicer but still not friendly. I would continue to eat there if I felt that customers mattered but apparently they don’t.

So I live 2 blocks from this place and its been a few months since I’ve ordered, the Pizzas were OK but the Salads were much better. I ordered a salad last week to take with me on my trip. their main result page on Google showed the menu. I picked up my salad and the older guy working was less then friendly on the fone as well as in person. when I went to eat my salad later it was All lettuce half a handful of small carrot Slices, a few slices of olives 2 small slices of tomato and a couple small pieces of cheese all which can be seen on top. and no wgere inside the salad. the price was also not what the menu said it was. Passing by on my way home I was reminded of my experience so I called and ask to speak to a manager. The manager, supposedly, and not the same guy said to me «yah that’s what the salad has on it.» when I questioned the price he said that menu is from 10 years ago. (why is it still online?) I said to him that I have purchased many salads from Michael’s Pizza and they were great nothing like this salad. and that they’re not what they used to be. Id like to know what to expect when I order food. his reply was. «then don’t eat here».
All I have to say is thank You God that there is a whole new complex being built across the street, same builders as the commons and The Grove from what I hear so there are going to be some better places to get pizza. and more food choices. For Now the Meditaranean/​barbecue place, Thai Basil and Santa Fe Café have great food and great service and all do take out. for delivery, Fresh Bros (amazing) and Barone’s are so much better. Skip Michaels and go there. Sad when a local restaurant doedn’t treat you like a valued customer

Hey we loved this place… but what happened to your great crust? It hasn’t been the same last couple of times. The ingredients are not as fresh as they used to be either. Please come back Michael’s…we miss you.
Okay…wow thank you!!! I’m updating my review! We ordered again and your crust was on point! Just perfect… not as thick and dry… yet well done and crispy! So so good! Lots of yummy mushrooms! Delicious!!! Thank you guys! Love your pizza!

Call me crazy but I like the pizza. A friend of mine from New York hates the pizza here, so I guess it’s a matter of taste. Also a nice peaceful experience to eat outside on the very quiet Las Virgenes Road.

I love this place. The cheese pizza and garlic bread are delicious. The prices are reasonable. Everyone that works there is super nice. Definitely my go to pizza place in Calabasas.

Pizza was not what I ordered. Rude people answer phones they get angry if you complain. I told them to bring me a new pizza and I would return the one which not only was burnt on the bottom, it didn’t have what I asked on the pizza and paid extra. Went in last night for the first time to pick up instead of delivery, and the guy at the front taking my order looked miserable and saw the rest of the guys just sitting down on their cell phones. This is not professional. I had to tell them to remake my order as it was burnt on top and it was only a cheese pizza. How can you mess that up. This guy got so angry with me, he told me to find another place. Ok no problem. YOu are not the only pizza place in this area. Reading the reviews, there are more negative than positive. Consistantacy is very important in restaurants and this one is HORRIBLE.

This place deserves a no stars at all! I used to think this was a pretty good pizza despite mistakes that I’ve let go throughout giving them my business and rarely have they had to replace my pizza but a couple of times due to it being overcooked or fallen to one side of the box, but today’s veggie’s pizza had something totally rank on it that I immediately threw the slice away as I had to spit the bite into a napkin-​and wanted to vomit! I asked for this to be delivered which they had but when I called them to for a refund, after I explained the issue, it was surprising that they told me to come to the restaurant and pick up the refund as They were too busy. I advised them that I had ordered a delivery so they must return and deliver the refund back to me as I do not have a vehicle at my disposal. The Manager then advised me that I would have to wait until things slowed down at about 8 P.M. this evening before they would send someone with my refund-​However, if I wanted to order a replacement pizza then would I have to wait three hours for a replacement pizza? I think not, pissed much? I said that I would wait. Then the delivery person called me back and asked what my name was and that he would come and pick up the pizza but only if the pizza was entirely whole? Really? So I ordered a pizza, did not take a bite and somehow decided without taking a bite that something was rotten? The pizza isn’t whole and a piece is missing as I took a couple of bites before removing it from my mouth and throwing it away as did my guest, why would anybody falsify this information? My roommate was always complaining about their dishes but I always ordered pizza’s witch was pretty much a safe as far as freshness went– did they get the order wrong at times, yes, do they always charge differently, absolutely-​there is never any consistency in pricing but it’t something I have lived with, but spoiled food is something I will not tolerate-​this place should definitely check their freezers… I’m no chef but something taste rotten. I will never order from this place again! And it’s very unprofessional to be upset and tell me it’s going to take 3 hours to refund my money. It was 5:00 when I called, the manager stated I have to wait until about 8:00 P.M. At 9:30 P.M. they still had not returned my refund and picked up their spoiled pizza, so I called them-​so I called again, they then stated it would be an additional 15 minutes, «all because I didn’t want to have them make a replacement pizza.» At some point ordering from this place shouldn’t be a gamble and seeing that a couple of weeks ago I indeed allowed them to bring me a replacement pizza because someone had burned the cheese on the pizza until it was no longer edible or stringy– it was brown and crusted! But it makes no sense to order another veggie pizza when the owner refuses to believe any of his ingredients are spoiled. And thanks for returning my refund at 9:55 P.M. I will never do business with you again. You’d think you would have appreciated the fact that I still did business with you after countless mistakes with the order or the condition it was delivered!

The worst customer service representative I have ever encountered. The staff is great, but the owner is the absolute worst. He is disrespectful and unappreciative of the business he receives. I will do exactly what he told me to do, «FIND SOME OTHER PLACE TO ORDER FROM». I will never give him another cent!!!

My company is in Calabasas and we order from Michael’s for our weekly luncheon’s all the time. I have had just about every kind of pizza and salad they offer and have NEVER been disappointed. My stomach doesn’t agree with pizza usually so I often order a salad or one of the appetizers and everything is so fresh and delicious! A few of my favorite items:
1. The tuna salad! Not something I would usually order or rave about but my GOD… this was accidentally ordered for me by the office manager once and it is now my favorite item on the menu. Their veggies are fresh, tomatoes are dark red and juicy and they make (I think) all of their dressings in house. SO GOOD.
2. Any type of pizza. It’s all good. Great crust, good quality ingredients cooked to perfection.
3. The chicken nuggets and ravioli on the appetizer menu are divine.
This place is great, anyone that says otherwise is a fool!

Ordered pizza delivered last night. It was dry and bland. Should have just picked up some decent frozen pizza. Also was grossly overcharged for toppings. FYI they charge full price for half toppings and don’t bother to tell you. I ordered a pizza with three toppings and was charged for 6. Delivery fee added on even though the website says free delivery.

Worst pizza and sampler ever!!! The sampler dish was UNEATABLE! Fried ravioli, HORRIBLE, pizza dry and tasteless, the toppings were bland and undercooked. How do you mess up a pepperoni pizza, just ask this place, they know it! $ 35 went straight to the garbage can!!!

Their sauce is great which makes there pizza. Service is good and the place is pretty clean. Too bad that they don’t deliver for small orders. But sometimes it’s worth the 5 min drive.

The pizza is good although I will never order from them due to the staff. I called the store to order food and the guy over the phone was rude and completely unprofessional. I told him that I didn’t want the food anymore because of how rude he was.
Being a manager in retail myself I understand that dealing with customers can be frustrating although business is trump. I hope that the owners of this establishment can do some research on their staff and find out why they deal with customers in the manner they do. Ultimately they have lost my business for good which is unfortunate.

Wow! If I could give this place zero stars I would. I didn’t have enough cash to pay so I called to pay with my card and the man who answered stated he’s the owner, He attempted to find my order so I can pay but he couldn’t find the order for whatever reason. He said I’m unbelievable and gave me attitude. I couldn’t believe it, if the pizza wasn’t for my son, I would have walked it back to the pizza place and threw it in his face.

This place has some real good pizza definitely if you are in the area come check it out

The pizza is good, when they they get it right. They also have nasty customer service at times. I have had a few crappy experiences here. We order frequently, as my daughter loves it. The last time we ordered they completely sent us the wrong pizza. We called back two different times and they were rude and skeptical as to whether they sent the wrong pizza. Then they demanded they get the incorrect pizza back and that we not «touch» it. Well, ok, fine. But seriously, chill out. It was your mistake, and are you planning on reselling the pizza that you demanded back? Makes me wonder. I am not sure if we will order again from them. Dominos customer service is much better (surprising, I know).

Consistently good pizza. The pasta dishes and salads are also excellent. Great local pizza place!

This place is right down the street from me. the food’s OK but the owner is a total DICK!
his son is better but when you have lots of choices… don’t patronize a place that treats it’s customers like shit.
I tried to buy some tuna without bread and the guy acts like I’m trying to pick his pocket. I asked him…“YOU SELL FOOD HERE RIGHT?” why can’t I buy your tuna?
Go next door to Calabasas BBQ… always great food, and nice people…

This pizza is pretty average, not amazing not terrible. The real affront to my senses was the wings. They were mushy and served with Michaels pizzas version of wing sauce, which seemed to be made up of ketchup water and a little sriracha. So 3 star pizza 1 star wings.
