Great breakfast place! Lots of combination breakfast bagels and sandwich options. I had a simple toasted sesame bagel with walnut raisin cream cheese on it. Delicious! My friend had egg, bacon, and cheese bagel sandwich, and she said it was delicious! The owners were milling around, chatting with customers which gave the Bagel Dock a very homey feel. Try it!

Delicious bagels made on the premises. Homemade salads, fresh baked goods. Friendly, clean, and are open for breakfast and lunch They open at 6:00 a.m. close at 3:00 p.m. Seven days a week. Family owned.Sundays open till 2:00. Definitely a must .The owners are from Long Island and work hard to keep their business a sucess. One visit and you are greeted by friendly people. You will see what everyone is talking about. They use Boars Head Provisions which really makes a difference in quality.

While visiting my sister in Myrtle Beach, we went here for breakfast. Having lived in NY for a time, I was so pleasantly surprised to find NY style bagels and fixings. There were perfect… lox and cream cheese. OMG. Wonderful, delicious… can’t wait to return

New location is just as good as the old with lots of new amenities Some of the things you love like the food haven’t changed awesome as always, the staff is always welcoming and friendly and they still bring the food to your table. With iPad cash registers and a bigger dining area they can accommodate the larger crowds and the new location also has much better parking. The old places’s lot was pretty beat up If you’ve never been this is a great breakfast stop that I always make sure to visit when I’m in town

Not big on leaving bad reviews but this place deserves it. Bagels may be good and I will agree that the cream cheese is decent but That’s about it. Don’t stick cash in the tip jar because I assure you, it doesn’t go to the staff. This place is great if you support an owner bashing their employees and being disrespectful to almost everyone. Terrible excuse for a human

Fantastic! I’ve been to a few delis and bagel shops along the east coast and this is the best one I’ve come by! Though the(vast) bagel selection was somewhat familiar, the cream cheese spread options were AMAZING! From jalapeño cheddar to walnut raisin, there is a spread to please anyone! The staff and owner were most pleasant, and the prices were more than reasonable. Will definetely be back next time I’m making my way along 17.

The bagels are great! This is the second time I have been there first time at their old location. This time had turkey on an asiago bagel. Really dry no mayo no taste with choice of a side, macaroni salad or potato salad. To my surprise my salad came in a size cup like what you would put self service ketchup in. Like one bite. Mentioned it to the server, she said, oh, it’s just a sample hoping you will like it and but some. After finishing my lunch spoke to the owner she also said well we thought it was cheap just giving a pickle so that’s why we added a sample choice of salad next time add a double pickle. Well there won’t be a next time for a lunch sandwich only for bagels and cream cheese that’s the only reason I gave 4 stars.

This is a really nice family owned & operated bagel shop, they’ve been in business for years, but this is their new location they just moved into down by the waterfront. The family operated bagel shops in NY&NJ and relocated to Calabash a few years ago and opened The Bagel Dock Café. They call their bagels«NY Style», but every NY Style bagel I’ve ever had is a dense chewy bagel that’s been boiled and then baked, but the bagels here are not really chewy at all and are much lighter with a light crust on the outside, kinda reminds me of a soft pretzel, I’m pretty sure these bagels are baked in a steam oven instead of boiling then baking. They are excellent though, I really enjoyed both that I tried. They have a good variety of bagels displayed in baskets inside a case where you place your order, they have a good number of homemade spreads available displayed in another case beside the register. I had the Apple Cinnamon Spread on a toasted Cinnamon Raisin Bagel and it was truly a life changing experience. Other spread flavors include Banana Nut, Bacon & Cheddar, Jalapeño Cheddar, Olive Pimento and numerous others. I also had a toasted Asiago Bagel with bacon, egg & cheese and it was ridiculous. The bacon was real, not some pre-cooked fast food type bacon, the egg was fried perfect, you can get it scrambled also if you like, then the toasted Asiago bagel was just really nice. There are a ton of menu options, they do all kinds of bagel sandwiches with Boars Head meats, you can even get a bagel cheeseburger or a bagel reuben with corned beef, sauerkraut & melted swiss. They offer sandwiches on regular rolls also if you don’t want it on a bagel. They also have fresh baked muffins and a few other sweet treats available, the little crumb cake in the case by the register looked amazing. They have a sign posted that states all baking is done on premises. Now we get to the fun part… after I placed my order«to-go» with a super nice young lady, I moved off to the side to wait for it. As I was waiting, I decided to snap a few pics with my phone to post along with this review. I got a shot of some bagels on display, got a shot of a neat little plaque on the wall, but when I walked over the case where all the spreads were displayed, the«Camera Nazi» emerged from the back. As I snapped a shot of a tub of some awesome looking Banana Nut Cream Cheese, I looked over my shoulder and there she stood. I said«Hey, how are you doing today?», all she says is «all the items in our display cases are proprietary» in a kinda semi-snotty demeanor, then my reply was«are you familiar with ?? I take pictures everywhere I go and post reviews», then she said she was somewhat familiar with Unilocal and she was«just trying to cover their bases»…I guess she thought I was some kind of undercover spy with Philadelphia Cream Cheese out trying to steal her recipes, I mean come on lady, it’s a tub of cream cheese with a little sign stuck in it telling you what flavor it is, it’s not like I’m in the back snappin’ pics of private documents in your filing cabinet. I thought sure I was about to be detained and thrown in some sort of bagel shop torture chamber in the basement. Thankfully I escaped unharmed with a sack of bagels. That’s the first time I’ve ever been harassed at an establishment for taking pictures…& I take alot of’em to share. I’m sure she was an owner, but she didn’t bother to introduce herself or say thanks for stopping or hope you come back or anything like that. I should drop some stars off this review for my attack of the«Camera Nazi», but I’ll let it slide since the items I tried were so awesome. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town for some of these outstanding bagels, but next time I’m comin’ in with camera flash bulbs blazin’ Nikon Style, zoom lens and all… be ready«Camera Nazi».
