I went to the Sunday Brunch and it was great! Great spread, great people, great price! Check it out!

I’ve been here twice. It is a busy, happenin’ bar, filled with grownups who seem to be having fun. I’ve had the tacos and a salad. They were both very good. I’ll come back.

As i walked in im not gonna lie i expected better. Small bar. Place looked okay. I sat by the bar area. They have a seperate dining room i believe but didn’t go back there. Our waiter was great except he kept forgetting the napkins. Thats fine tho. His beer knowledge was exceptional and yes they do have a pretty good list of craft beer. We had the wings which were really good. Beer battered soft shell crab sandwich with waffle fries were really good. Had the special bacon fusion burger(50% beef 50% ground bacon with applewood smoked bacon, guac and monterey jack cheese on a soft super fresh pretzel bun) damnnnn that was good!!! My side was sweet potato fries. Overall i had a great experience and will be back.

Service and food are excellent. Enjoy the large beer selection. The staff was especially helpful accommodating our party which included handicap. They help us transition to a better suited table, I had made my best guess when calling ahead. We had arrived on Saturday just before the dinner service picked up, staff helped on departure as it getting quite busy. We appreciated the suggestions from our server Brian R, they were spot on and very helpful. He was attentive but not intrusive. Nor did we feel rushed.

I stopped in for lunch on Monday, happened to be a tap takeover day for Allagash brewery, one of my favorite craft brewers, what luck, guess that’s why its called the Cloverleaf. Pleasant hostess sat us outside on the patio, always nice to eat outside on a nice day. Our waitress Jana greeted us and handed out the menus and the beer list. Very personable, she made a few suggestions regarding the beers and food. I ended up starting with an exceptional sour Helena beer, working myself up to a St. Kippenstein dark to complement the meal. I had a cup of very good french onion soup, followed by the surf and turf burger special which I was hesitant at first, a burger with shrimp and crab meat, but was really tasty and went well together. My friend Jerry had the reuben, looked good, but didn’t last long, so must have been very good. Definitely will be back, many menu items and beers to try down the line.

The place has a fantastic burger! Cooked to perfection and really fresh meat, crisp lettuce and thick onion slices. Top notch. Cold brew, nice selection, friendly service and good prices. I will return most certainly next time I’m in Caldwell.

If you like great beer and great burgers, then this is the place for you. I had always heard about Cloverleaf but never made the journey here until more recently. They don’t have a huge tap selection but quality reigns over quantity here which is to say you will definitely find something you like. They also consistently do tap takeovers, many of which are by local breweries. If you become a regular, then you should join their MBA(Master of Beer Appreciation) program. You are given a card with a list of beers, which are checked off as they are consumed. Work your way up the ranks and before you know it, you will be getting your beer doctorate, your name on the wall and a gift card. Yes, it pays to drink good beer. As for the food, well that’s a whole other story. I highly recommend trying their burger and if it sounds like a winner, try their burger of the week. They create a new burger every week which can be found via social media. On my first visit, I tried the Nacho Burger which included pepper jack cheese, guac, sour cream and tortilla crips. It was terrific. On my following visit I was lucky enough to try the half and half burger which is half beef, half bacon(you read that right). It’s been a few weeks now and I’m still dreaming about it to this day. The staff has always been warm and welcoming. On my first visit, I mentioned to my server that this was my first time here and not only did she explain to me the MBA program in depth but she even game me a card for a free appetizer. Needless to say, great beer paired with a great burger is my definition of happiness and I’ve found my sanctuary.

The cloverleaf is an institution, but it’s not MY institution. So, if you’re from the Caldwell area and love this place because your parents and cousins and all your friends love this place and want to brand me an outsider, that’s totally warranted and fine. I’m a Denver native, so I grew up(once I was 21, of course…) on good beer. I was very disappointed with the selection here, which may be more of a mark against New Jersey beer and where that industry is at right now than anything, but our server recommended a few flops, which made my heart and mouth sad. The appetizers we had were fine, but not spectacular. Overall, I think this place is fine but just not quite what it could be/what my fellow Unilocalers told me it would be in terms of beer selection.

Returned with 15 family and friends to celebrate a special birthday for the Sunday Brunch at the Cloverleaf Tavern. We were 1 of 2 large groups accommodated that day… no problem. Some drinks were delayed being served probably because of the two groups… but no big deal. Owner on premises keeping eye on things. Sunday Brunch is 10 – 2 pm, and full the entire time… but don’t think people had to wait long. Attentive service. Good selection for the price including an omelette station that broke down when we were there. They managed to take my order anyway for eggs over easy. Fresh fruits, bread selection, and some desserts. Buffet includes coffee and 1 adult beverage such as house Mimosa or Champagne or Bloody Mary. I remain impressed by the large craft brewskie selection draught. Some choices rotate and some are permanent. Best selection in the area, and fair prices for pints. Tip I: Remind server about Senior citizen discount for Sunday Brunch, if it applies Tip II: Consider the drink special menu. For instance, a Makers Mark Manhattan or a Blue Sapphire Martini is $ 10. Tip III: I park on the side street rather than the tight lot in the rear. Will return.

So glad I finally came here. Overall beer, food and service experience was a 2 thumbs up. This place is well known for their variety of craft beers. I joined in with some friends for a happy hour. I started off with a Stella and the Tavern sliders. Tavern sliders were juicy and flavorful, really liked the sauce and crispy onions in em. My second beer to follow was the Sam adams Nitro white ale… amazing. Fruity floral notes, that beer was… so pretty haha. Second app I tried the Cheese and Ale Crock. Melty cheesy sauce goodness served with two soft fluffy buttery salty pretzel sticks and crisp green apples for dipping. Just wished there was an extra pretzel, there’s more sauce than there were dippers. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. We never had to wait for her to come to us, she was on top of it. It was slightly a bit too loud of a crowd for my taste but the food and beer selection was so good that I still had a fun time. There is no private parking lot but there street meter parking which didn’t seem difficult and there’s a meter parking lot behind the bar as well. I look forward in coming here again! Fellow Unilocalers definitely check this place out! :)

Cloverleaf has the best veggie burger in Caldwell, in my opinion! I always have a good time grabbing a drink or apps with friends here. As others have noted, this is a great spot for good beer.

Came here to celebrate my brother’s birthday. It is a great atmosphere with a nice mix of families and couples. For appetizer we had nachos and Irish soda bread with maple butter and fresh jam. The nachos were delicious but the Irish soda bread was out do this world amazing. The maple butter complemented the flavor perfectly, it was toasted and moist unlike lost soda bread I have tried which tends to be dry. Main entrees were all delicious. Although my sister in laws Chimichurri steak and her mashed potatoes came out cold twice. The manager was very nice and took care of the problem in a timely manner offering to compensate for the entrée. The sides were so good. Try the beer baked beans. what? Freaking awesome! Nice selection of libations, both on tap and bottled. Sangria and Tropical punch didn’t pack too much of a punch. We would come here again, great food great service!

Came here for Easter brunch and they do an awesome job with the brunch spread! So many things to choose from – eggs Benedict, pancakes, Belgium waffles, bagels, fruit platter, then lunch items like chicken Marsala, penne, etc. a ton of food and a lot of desserts! Yum! Would def recommend at least for that. The dinner at this place usually doesn’t do it for me but the brunch is fantastic!

I don’t know what the big deal is with this place. Went on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Arrived around 1:45pm and apparently they only serve brunch until 2pm. So we waited until a few minutes before 2pm and were able to order. I ordered the french onion soup and it was good. I also ordered the cheeseburger, medium rare and the Parmesan potato chips. The chips were good. The cheeseburger tasted freezer-burned and the bun was gross. My friend ordered the fish and chip at the suggestion of the waitress. He said it was awful and that the fish tasted frozen. She forgot the malt vinegar — you can’t eat fish and chips without malt vinegar. I had to flag the waitress down to get a refill on our drinks and for more napkins. If I hadn’t done that, we would never have seen her. I ended up with diarrhea not too long after consuming my burger. Needless to say, we will never go back and I definitely DONOT recommend this place. Go somewhere else!

MBA, PHD, Im soo educated on beers. Just kidding but I love going here to try the different craft beers and mark them down on my card that they give you. Every first Monday of the month they get Dogfish 120 min IPA which is freaking amazing not to mention a different crazy burger special every single monday. Specials change week to week and have been incredibly interesting, from lamb sliders, to mac-and-cheese bites, even cheeseburger spring rolls. The presentation is fantastic, and the beer selection is second to NONE. I can’t think of another place that i’d rather grab a beer and food. Awesome awesome awesome.

Great place for craft beer and burgers! If you are looking for something else, this might not be the place. They specialize in craft beers! Their craft beer selection is amazing! You can get a trial flight or just ask bartender to try different kinds of beer. I love coming to this bar around St. Patrick’s day — they have live Irish band playing Irish music! I prefer to sit at the bar — it’s more fun and you can try different beers. I personally don’t like sitting at the table here. They also have outside sitting but I never tried to sit outside. Their burgers are amazing!!! Juicy and flavorful! I had classic cheeseburger and my husband had fifty fifty(fifty percent bacon) and both burgers were so good!!! We also had their crab dip a couple of times — it’s a great value for money, but nothing to write home about in terms of taste. The dip comes with a loaf of French bread — it’s very filling. I tried their other appetizers as well and they were ok. I would go for their burgers!

I had been wanting to come here for awhile so when my sister picked this place to celebrate her birthday, I was excited. Unfortunately, I was let down. For drinks, I ordered the $ 5 mojito– it was ok. the pina mojito was better. I then switched to pinot noir which was fine. Although I do feel like $ 17 for two glasses is a bit much. As for food, I got the southwestern wedge salad(special), ehhh– just ok. Nothing special… everyone felt the same about their food– it was ok– not horrible, but not memorable. Dessert was really good– I tried the brownie, ice cream, and peanut butter pie, and they were all good. Service was average. I think this place is mainly known for their craft beer, so if you are coming here, I think just plan on that.

The Cloverleaf is one of my favorite bars. They constantly are updating their menu to appeal to everyone. They offer a special burger once a week but also have some delicious healthy options too. They also find ways to bring in customers with a frequent diner point program, craft beer specials, and a beer program where you have to try 40 different beers. There is also a sense of community with the cloverleaf customers. They constantly post on Instagram and acknowledge check ins on the untappd app
