Wow! I never expected to find laksa in Calistoga — you can’t even get good Laksa in San Francisco! Very nice surprise!

WORSTBOBADRINKEVER! The tapioca balls were mushy, like it’s been sitting there for a long time. The drink was sugary. I should have known better than to expect authentic bubble tea in Calistoga. If this is any indication to the rest of the menu they serve, no thank you.

I had a few takeout the other evening which my family consumed up quickly! Nice surprise to find boba beverages in Calistoga! Met Alice, who was service-oriented & we had a great chat, who was helping out her owner sister. The restaurant was quite empty on a Monday evening. The food is tasty with daily special dishes. Go support this local small family-owned eatery!

Had lunch here recently and it was magical! The red curry was tasty, though I could have used a few vegetables with the chicken(though I can’t speak to what is authentic). The sizzling eggplant was a little overcooked, but really flavorful. Great service too.

Omg this is definitely not the place you want to go have dinner! Their food is terrible and ridiculously highly priced! We went here to have dinner after seeing the Unilocal reviews. We ordered the samba shrimp and laksa noodle soup. The coconut rice they serve is literally sour and taste awful! After we complained they didn’t do anything to make it up just pretend like nothing happened. There are many good restaurants around here. Do not pick this one or you will really regret!

OMG Laksa! Hubby and I have spent the last 8 years trying to find the best laksa in the Bay Area. Who knew that it would be in Calistoga? It’s delicious. If you like traditional Malaysian laksa, this is where you want to go. I warn you that if you ask for extra spice, you’re going to get it. I can take spicy and even I had to surrender towards the end. But the flavor is fantastic. I would have been sad if a place called«Kopio» didn’t actually sere kopio, a coffee with condensed milk. But disappointed I was not. They had it and it was great. It also helped with the extra laksa spice. Can’t wait to go back.

The Huz really enjoyed the lumpia and Mee Siam and said there were several more things he would try if we were staying longer. Very friendly people who are very accommodating to level of spice/heat requested. Veggie and gluten free too upon request. Very reasonable prices. A real find and a nice surprise in Calistoga.

This place is really good to go to if you want Southeast Asian cuisine. I really like their calamari, appetizer sampler, and strawberry short ribs. They also have very good coconut rice. The server is very nice, and brought us our food quickly.

Five stars for extremly sweet owners and very generous service. I have a sweet spot for family run places. I ordered something off the menu and they were accommodating. Looking forwad to returning because the menu items were inviting and the friendly service left me wanting to return. :)

We stopped by for lunch on our way to a wine tasting. We had the hot pot supreme and their special double delight curry dish. Super good flavors and one of the best I’ve had. My curry dish was intense in flavor, spicy but not overpowering. My wife’s hot pot had lots of fresh vegetables and some chicken and seafood. Both were delicious. This is certainly a place I would revisit on our next visit to Napa. The owner is super friendly and very personable. She spent some time getting to know us and shared about her family.

Try the Laksa! Try the Satay! Very genuine East Asian dishes. Although they try to cater to tourist tastes, ask for the Malay dishes. You won’t be disappointed! If you come here looking for PF Chang or some confused version of Asian cooking, you won’t be getting their best dishes. When you order, also let them know you like heat and trassi/belacan(shrimp paste) as it will help them tap into flavors some ‘Mericans know how to enjoy. Right down to the fresh homemade sambal, this place overdelivers on great taste and fresh ingredients. Malay/Indonesian/Singaporean food is full of flavor and best washed back with beer. On a hot day you would want these foods, and I will go out of my way to come back here. For something other than a burger, steak or bistro plate try their Satay and Laksa! Nom!

This place is pretty awesome! We will be returning! We started out with the potstickers and they were fresh and delicious. After wine tasting all day this hit the spot. We then had the red curry with chicken that was served with side of rice. Very tasty and quite nice. I think my husband licked his plate. We ordered a side of kimchi which was excellent. We also had the drunken noodle with shrimp and was a bit spicy but we devoured it! A full belly is a great feeling in the Napa Valley! There wine list even had local wines!

Came here for lunch and were very satisfied. The chicken gyozas were chocked full of meat but not the most flavorful. It was the curry laksa that made this place memorable. Generous portions of seafood and fried tofu make this spicy noodle soup lip-smackingly good. Would return specifically for that dish and highly recommend it, especially to my fellow SE Asians.

My wife and I had planned on eating at the Thai food place across the street but they had a power outage, so we j-walked over to Kopio. The food was fantastic and the people were equally such! Without question the best calamari I’ve ever had and the curry puffs were awesome. We came by the next day and ordered the appetizers for lunch! We ordered the Mongolian tofu extra spicy and it was excellent. The mushroom chicken was so-so otherwise they would’ve gotten five stars. They also serve an egg-wrapped burger which I’m told is delicious(wanted to save room for beer after dinner). Great food & very quick, hospitable service. Definitely a place I would go back to the next time we visit Calistoga.

I really wanted to like this new restaurant in Calistoga. The staff was friendly but the food was sub-par at best. I ordered the lumpia, which I thought would be «real» Filipino lumpia, not Chinese-style egg rolls that tasted like they came out of a box. The potstickers were decent, but they came with one side that was overdone(charred). The lettuce wraps were not the PF Chang’s type and were lacking in flavor. We also ordered the ramen, which was OK for my kids. We also ordered French fries and sweet potato fries, which were soggy. I don’t think we ordered the things we should have at this restaurant, as apparently the Laksa and other curry dishes received good reviews. I spent about $ 50 on lunch and left hungry. I don’t think a restaurant can mix so many styles of cuisine and do a good job(Korean, Filipino, Chinese, Thai, etc.). Most restaurants pick one and specialize in that, or attempt to do them all and be mediocre. Unfortunately, this one falls in the latter. I’ll go back to Chinese food at Soo Yuan next time.

For the price and the service, it’s a great deal. We split the lettuce wraps and chicken fried rice and it was under $ 25. Our waitress was super friendly and sweet. The food wasn’t memorable, but it was ok. I would give our meal 3 stars, but they get an extra star for having nice service and not being snobby like other places around here can be.

I sincerely do not understand all of the positive reviews of this place. I ordered takeout tonight and waited a long time for my food after they told me it would be just a few minutes. I had ordered the green curry with vegetables and the Mongolian tofu. On my way out, I realized that neither dish came with rice. I asked for rice, and they charged me almost $ 5(after tax) for two individual servings. While kind of a rip-off, it wouldn’t have bothered me so much if it didn’t also happen to be the worst white rice I’ve ever gotten from a restaurant– very pasty and bland. I must admit that the Mongolian tofu wasn’t terrible. The green curry, however, which on the menu they warn as being«super hot & spicy» was really bland. It tasted mostly like salty coconut milk, and the vegetables in it were overcooked and mushy.

Excellent, authentic, reasonably priced South East Asian food. Laksa, Rendang Lamb, Indonesian Shrimp, Singapore Chili Crab and more… Try the Curry Laksa — the best I have eaten outside of Malaysia.
