Great place!!! The service and atmosphere are wonderful, but the menu surpasses all! The variety here suits all tastes, and the quality is amazing! All around great, cute, fun place

The Pizza is off the charts. For best service, sit at the bar. It is great because you can meet other folks. I’ve only been once and no longer work in Calistoga but I highly recommend it. Did I tell you about the pizza?

DONTSUPPORTTHISPLACE! We stopped here during our roadtrip across California. We are a group of 7, including kids and we were told by the manager that our only option to be seated was to seat on separate tables because the OWNER of the restaurant doesn’t allows to join together more than two specific tables that at the moment were already busy. I asked the manager again and she said in a really harsh tone that she understood my point but they were not going to do it. To add to her«defense» she told us that the«main reason» was because the waiters can’t move around the place. First, place was empty and just a group of 8 was using the«official join table». Second, the two tables I was pointing to her to join together were two tables facing a wall on one side and an open area to the other. Do I need to tell you that we left the place and went next door to Checkers? Yes, go to Checkers instead!

Me and my husband came to Calistoga for our vacation and we here just walking by and the delicious smell of food caught our attention. So we had to stop and try it out the service was fantastic and the food was out of this world delicious. The wine tasting wasn’t bad and the atmosphere was relaxin and quite next time I’m here definitely coming back

This is a very nice, but not snobby Italian restaurant in downtown Calistoga. We started with the crispy polenta stack, which was delicious. The Angelo’s pizza — sausage and mushroom was great, with very flavorful shrooms. I had the California Red wine flight and my wife tried the Italian red flight, and both were good and a deal at $ 12 each. We will be back!

The best Italian food I’ve ever had! However, the place was extremely pricey with small portions :(

Good italian if your in the area. We got the lunch portion pasta and soup/salad. The cheese bread app was also nice. Felt the place would be more lively in the night? Also, got a peak at the wood burning owen!

We found it on Unilocal and visited based on the positive reviews. It’s a great place with nice portions and wonderful food. I ordered the lunch special. Sophia’s rigatoni and it was extremely tasty. The chicken was juicy and the sauce was perfect. My wife helped with the finishing of the plate. She ordered the Margherita pizza and as the pasta… delicious. the crust has perfectly baked and the cheese fresh… my lunch came with the minestrone soup and itdidn’t stand a chance… so good… with chunks of fresh ingredients. Boskos was a perfect late lunch spot to satisfy our hunger after a day of wine tasting. Thanks for the experience!

My husband and I went here TWICE during our visit, and we never repeat restaurants when traveling. The happy hour menu is FIRE! $ 7 for a GIANT pour of wine from Napa valley? Please and thank you! Half off apps like brussels sprouts and calamari? YES! We shared the Bolzano pizza and we ate it all. The amount of fresh, perfectly cooked meat on the pizza was overwhelming(in a good way) and the crust was doughy, yet crispy. I wish we lived closer so we could order it every Friday night!

So, where do I start… Firstly, focaccia is nothing like focaccia — it’s more like deep-fried bread loaf. Secondly, burrata has little to do with burrata — where’s the yummy creamy inside? Thirdly, chicken parmesan was the WORST dish I’ve ever had. Pasta tastes like it had been cooked in a water that runs through grave yard, chicken had been undercooked. I mean, how can you make pasta and chicken wrong? My 4 year old niece cooks better than their chef. And lastly, veggie pasta had apparently been deep fried too… Do not recommend to anyone who wants to have a decent meal.

Brought my lady here for her birthday dinner. It was supposed to be a nice time and my treat. It was far from that. Sat in a booth for 15 minutes. Nobody acknowledged our existence. Nobody came to take our drink or our food order. Had about 5 different waiters walk by our table wishing and hoping someone would make us feel less invisible. I opened the door for the couple at the table next to us, who was seated maybe 5 seconds before we were and they had their food and drink order taken 5 minutes before we decided to walk out. Yes I did time it. Completely unacceptable. Plus they made me look bad for picking such a bad place for my girls birthday dinner. I can’t comment on the food. Never got the opportunity to try it. The menu looked nice. I did stare at it for a good while. Went to Checkers across the street which served us promptly and with respect. The food was great too. Go there instead. Thanks for your time.

My husband and I visited this restaurant on our first night in Calistoga, and we had a wonderful time. The service was fabulous, and the food was amazing. I have not had such a delicious Italian meal in quite some time. The pasta tasted so fresh(being made in-house) and all the ingredients were top-notch. Here’s what we ordered: Wine Tasting Flights, Red and White Silvana Pasta Plate Quattro Stagione Pasta Plate Tiramisu Triple Layer Torte Everything tasted amazing, and halfway through the meal, my husband and I switched dinners so we could each have some of both dish. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I hope to go there again!

Perfectly decent place for Italian fare in Calistoga, with plenty of room inside and, if I remember correctly, at an outside patio. The menu has the typical offerings of antipasti, sandwiches, pasta, and pizza you’d expect at any Italian-American bistro, and there’s a decent beer and wine selection too. I started with the Sophia’s rigatoni, which was quite the satisfying dish, featuring chicken breast, pancetta, peas, tomato, and mascarpone cream sauce. I probably should have stopped at this point for my waistline’s sake, but my taste buds didn’t regret some budino for dessert. Service was very friendly and helpful too. Overall, nothing to complain about here — a totally satisfying experience.

Overall food was tasty and service was good. Although our server was really nice, he seemed a little overwhelmed trying to manage several tables. We had to remind him about one of our salads a couple of times. The food did take awhile to come out, but we were given a heads up that they were backed up in the kitchen. My Quattro Stagione was delicious however it was missing the pancetta. Our server offered to have the Chef redo it but I didn’t want to wait since I was with a party of nine. I do think they could have offered something else, but I guess that’s not how it works. I would give them another try when in the area again.

Boskos is a great Italian restaurant with your typical Italian options like pizza, pasta, salad, etc. I wouldn’t necessarily consider it fine dining but it has good food. I got a pizza and it was delicious. The service was pretty good. This is a good relatively cheap option and definitely serves its purpose. Just don’t go in expecting to have a fine dining experience in any way. You also have to pay for bread which was a bit frustrating at an Italian restaurant.

We were looking for a mid-price range restaurant in Calistoga … two dollar signs or less. Bosko’s fit the bill and was perfect. Comfortable atmosphere. DH raved about his Godfather pasta special, I was equally happy with my salmon which was served with a generous side of creamy polenta and roasted veggies. We needed dessert, but not a heavy dessert so a «glass» of spumoni was the perfect ending.

Boskos! I heart you ever since long ago college days when you were a favorite spot with friends. I have been here countless times over the years, and I love the timelessness of this restaurant-quality that stands the test of time! The staff are always wonderful, friendly, and accommodating! So fun to sit at the bar. Love love love the artichoke appetizer(no sharing! Get your own ;)), creamy burrata, and my die-hard love, Glorioso, a staple from the original menu! The salad is perfect with either the balsamic or Italian. The bowl of cheese to sprinkle on the pasta or salad is a must! And the changing wine list always has some great finds!

My family and I came here on a Sunday afternoon after wine tasting at Castello Di Amorosa. We were a party of about 15 people and we had to be split up at 3 different tables, which was unfortunate but it is a classier restaurant and they are not too keen on moving tables together. However, they were right that we would lose sitting space if we did move the tables together. Anyway, the service was quick and pleasant for the most part. They took our orders within minutes of being seated and the food came out fairly quickly! We all ordered a few different dishes but the Vittorio was our absolute favorite! Vittorio: Shrimp, mushroom, garlic and asiago sauce on fettuccine I definitely suggest ordering that! Parking can be hard if downtown is super busy but we luckily found parking right outside of the restaurant.

This was one of the most pleasant lunches I’ve had in recent memory. My daughter and I came in during a busy lunch service today, and usually when a server sees a mom and a kid, the service is instantly terrible. They assume I will be a lousy tipper, but I worked food service as a chef for 20+ years, so that’s not going to happen if my service is decent. My waiter was wonderful!(I think his name is Ollie.) We were In the wine country so I ordered a California wine flight consisting of three glasses containing 2oz. of wine each. I had the half sandwich and salad with balsamic dressing, and my Wee one had the kids spaghetti and meatballs. I don’t know who made those amazing meatballs but she let me taste one, and they were very good. My Trentino(eggplant, mozzarella, and pesto) sandwich was so yummy, I scarfed it down without uttering a word. The house salad was very lightly and perfectly dressed with a really well-balanced balsamic vinaigrette. Occasionally I get a balsamic dressing that is syrupy sweet. This one was thankfully not! It was tart but not too tart, and really accentuated the pinto noir I was drinking at the time. BRAVO Bosko’s!!! You will be seeing me again and often.
