This place totally deserves more stars! I would consider Happy Bowl a hidden gem in Camarillo. I am so glad that I stopped in one day. The prices are soo reasonable for what you get. They hook it up fat! Two people could easily share the one item combo for $ 5.25 I used the Unilocal check in to get the free vegetable or chicken egg roll. I chose vegetable and OMG they are so good and the lady gave me two. I would highly recommend giving this place a try!

Excellent value. Was able to buy dinner for a family of 4 for about $ 25 and still had lots of leftovers.

Ok the 2 stars are for the service nice people and quick service. Yes, they give you a generous helping of whatever you order. But you go somewhere cheap expect the food to taste cheap. I ordered the chow main, orange chicken and the chop suey. The chow main was not flavored very well, it had a gummy like texture, very chewy. The orange chicken was like it had been frozen and thawed then cooked under a heat lamp, it basically fell apart when I stuck my fork in it. And not crunchy at all. Basically not tasty. The chop Suey well that’s just a vegetable dish. But yep it was put on my plate in a soaking puddle of gooey water and it was over peppered. I believe it could have also come from previously frozen bags. Well I have it a chance. I ordered a strawberry boba. Let’s just say… don’t waste your time. I ended up throwing my food away. I just could not eat it. I really wanted to give you a good review but I can’t because I was nearly disgusted with your food. They have plenty of people who seem to really enjoy this place. So I will stick with my earlier comment. You pay for what you get.

I love this place! They make my food to order every single time! And I can call ahead as well! Definitely better than Panda Express! Probably been going here for 20+ years! Thank you for being so yummy!!! Haha

This place is awesome. I have been eating Chinese food for as long as I can remember. For fast food you cannot go wrong. I buy food here at least once a week. My family loves the beef broccoli and orange chicken. With the many times I’ve been there it’s been freshly made or cooked when I order. The time you come in makes a difference as you would expect with all Chinese fast food. It’s made from real food without the typical preservatives of other franchised fast food places so that the broccoli is not some Franken broccoli. I do agree it makes a big difference when eaten fresh. I noticed this particularly with the orange chicken. I go around 5 to 7 pm so I think there are better odds of food being fresh. The lady that serves is real nice and her husband cooks the food. And they’re Asian so it’s legitimately authentic. Portions are surprisingly very generous. Seriously the chow mein noodles and fried rice are overflowing every time. The side dishes too. We also order chow mein noodles for pot luck parties. This is family owned and their kids help from time to time. This place is very reasonable too compared to other fast foods. If you wanna change up your fast food menu give it a try. You’ll be surprised how far your money will go.

I walked in and was the only customer they had. You can tell the food had been under the warmer for a while, but I was hungry and gave it a shot anyway. I ordered the standard fried rice, chow mein, teriyaki chicken and beef and broccoli and two egg rolls. I was really hungry so I ordered. Bad, all bad. The food was below average and the pink lemonade wasn’t good either. The lady was rude as if she didn’t want to be there. would never go back.

My first time trying this place out. I really like the amount of food served and the price. I had half and half with orange chicken and the pepper wings. I will definitely come back again.

First try and I think i probably ordered a bad choice, the rice bowl with kung pao chicken. It was really sweet and a little chewy. got tired of the taste real quick, sadly to say.

The food is absolutely yummy and the prices are good, actually the prices are low compared to the quality and amount of food you get. The portions are HUGE. They have good service. The lady is always nice and friendly. Their rice is good and their chow mein is just bomb. They have fresh food all day long. Their Egg rolls are delish. They also have some spicy sauce that is made from scratch it is not the bottled hot sauce you get at other places. They have the best BBQ chicken I’ve had and they also have some appetizing hot wings. The bowls are $ 4.79 and include either rice or chow main and 1 entrée. Combo plate #1 is $ 4.99 you can do half and half of rice and chow main or either one and one entrée. Combo #2 is the same as #1 but with two entrees and its $ 5.99. Great prices right?! ^_^!! They also have delicious boba drinks. This place is great! They accept cards at no charge if you spend over $ 5. This is the yummiest place to get Chinese food in Cam.

One of my favorite places to eat at. Owners are very friendly and the food is always good. Not only is it good, they hook it up too! They can also modify the entrees to your liking. I usually ask them to make the beef with broccoli a little spicy and they will do it. You can also ask to modify other entrees such as their fried rice. I usually get bbq pork fried rice and it’s amazing. All in all, the food is always tasty and never a disappoint!

This is my go to Chinese food place in camarillo. The owners have always been friendly with me. I won’t denie it is a hit or miss place, but when it’s good it’s great. The fried rice, noodles, bbq pork, and Kung pao chicken are my personal favorites. If it was always on point I would give Happy Bowl 10 stars.

Never have I had such bad service and food. They told me that the teriyaki chicken is exactly the same as the BBQ chicken, they just changed the color, however both didn’t have any flavor. Then the boba was garbage, too watered down, and we’re clumped together like one big, melted mess. They were to soft and became extremely difficult to suck in because they kept getting stuck in the straw. All in all, a terrible experience.

Large portions for cheap, nice hole-in-the-wall for a quick dinner. I have a few go-tos, the chow mein is tasty and different, the beef and brocoli normally hits the spot, and the BBq chicken is beyond tasty. You can add a 3rd entrée for only a dollar more, great deal; and yet, I have yet to find my third favorite.

I am such a fan. I shouldn’t be however, I am. The quality is inconsistent BUT when it its on point oh Lord it is on point. Less expensive than panda. More food than panda. Best owner out there. Great variety of food and beverage. Hit this spot weekly. The sign says they open at eleven but they regularly open doors around ten thirty. Try this place a couple times. It is seriously good lunch.

Food was AMAZING!!! i have the chow mein & orange chicken &BBQ pork. Chow mein looks weird but is actually very good. Orange chicken is a little too soggy for me. But their barbecue pork was amazing. Best I’ve ever had in my life! I will go again soon.

Good food for a good price. I come here quite often and do order pretty much the same things. I get the steamed rice {was fried before} pork chops and bbq chicken. On occasion, I will get an egg roll just because and a large drink as well. Im never disappointed when eating here, and pretty much prefer it over Panda any day.

This place is so gross I just don’t understand what is wrong with people??? Yes it’s a hole in the wall but that doesn’t give it an excuse to be completely sticky & to serve complete low grade food. The food just screams food poisoning, nothing looks like it should, to read the signs & compare how you think the food should look to how it really looks is frightening. Everything i tried tasted stale & like they used the lowest grade of meats available, it’s when you get to that point were the chicken is like grisly & dark that your just like how the hell could anyone eat this & call it 5 stars? Also since when is egg drop soup orange, I’m talking like neon orange? So scary…

Nothing more, nothing less… There’s not much you really need to know. This place is the epitome of cheap greasy chinese food. Tucked inside a shopping mall across from vons is this tiny mom and pop rest. Better than your neighborhood Panda Express but don’t expect authentic tradition chinese food either. No you won’t find stir fried ong choy with shrimp paste topped with peanuts in a savory soy sauce; but what you will find is your usual fried rice and chow mein, orange chicken, beef broccoli and all the other chinese dishes you’ve come to grown and love. Nice quick place to grab lunch on the go although they do have a small seating area for dining in. $ 5.45 for a big helping of chow mein or rice and 2 sides. Good deal if you ask me,
