I visited this RadioShack as a last resort to purchase an iPad mini as an emergency gift.
I found an uneducated staff who still felt the need to patronize me.
Now, as a preface, I like to consider myself fairly educated in electronics, especially Apple products — so I know what products are offered and what they entail.
I came in very directly asking for an iPad mini, and very specifically an iPad mini. The older woman who helped me gave me the options of a «silver» and «black» model. Oh, I guess Apple started making silver iPads. Instantly, I realized I was dealing with a pseudo-​educated staff.
I asked for a white iPad mini, which they agreed to, but not before a bombardment of up-​selling.
«You should get a case because of the grip so that you can hold it better.»
«You need to get AppleCare because it might break.»
«I had another customer who had a tablet break without a case. You should get the case.»
What had intended to be a short visit turned into almost a half-​hour of shoo-​ing off the relentless, futile efforts of selling extras to me (which I had very clearly said I did not want).
I got the iPad in the end, but why go through such a hassle? Find another store.

Used to work here. All I will say is yes, you can find it cheaper online: Radioshack is a store of convenience. However, they do have great deals on phones. And if you need tech help, talk to Chris or Ryan.

BEST Radio shack in Ventura County! The employees are friendly, not overbearing, and knowledgable. The store is very clean, organized, and easy to find. Lots of parking. Great store overall.
