no authentic Cajun food here. I’m from Louisiana so I know. maybe they need to contact some people from Lafayette or something and get some decent recipes. the food was decent maybe even good… but not authentic.

This place makes me wanna slap my momma. It definitely made me less homesick. I had the blackened catfish and the wife had the Crawfish Étouffée. Both were delicious. We finished with some Beignets. Mmmmmm. Service was outstanding as well. I will be back

What a fantastic and expected surprise! We are already planning our visit back and will try the Po-Boy’s and some side dishes. We had the gumbo and fried chicken – both were delicious. The Strawberry Smash cocktail was delicious as well. THANKS!!!

Hands down, one of the best restaurant in the Camas/Vancouver area. And my personal favorite. It’s a cute little restaurant that serves fantastic Southern comfort food! We’ve been here for brunch and lunch several times and the service and food have been consistently good. Love the casual vibe here, it’s also family friendly. Our toddler loves the Mac and cheese. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area!

We had lovely service! I had the shrimp and grits with their BBQ sauce which Was fantastic, my husband had the catfish, he’s been raving about it for days! Also, the hush puppies were tasty and there was a nice cocktail menu we are looking forward to try long next time! We will be back for sure soon. What a gem of a place in the culinary desert than Vancouver-area is!

Yummy food, great service! Only annoyances I have, I hate that they are not open on Sunday and Monday. Also have had issues with the occasional dirty menu and/or table.

Great! My group was there on Fat Tuesday and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Our waiter/bartender/cook was very personable and accommodating. Highlites were the fabulous hush puppies and the jambalaya

What a fun little resturant showcasing the flavors of New Orleans/Louisiana. The atmosphere is lively with good ol’ NOLA blues playing. Started with complementary Hush Puppies, delicious! Crispy on the outside, soft & warm on the inside, perfect. Then moved on to corn chowder which was hearty & flavorful, enough spice to give a little zing. Second dish was the mac & cheese, was a bit disappointed, really just a bowl of pasta w/few small peppers. Had they added some smoked bacon or some cajun spices and baked the dish, it would’ve been really good. Overall service was very good, waitress answered all my questions & was cheery & prompt. Only negative was at the end when I got up to go to the restroom leaving behind my coat and umbrella, they cleared the table taking my unfinished tea. Next time I’m in town I’ll come back and try a few other dishes.

Friendly service and generous staff. Great hard(liquor) coffee beverages. The hush puppies and black eyes pea salad are wonderful. The house made vinaigrette on the black eyed pea salad is a winner. Oh yeah and the horseradish mash!

I was super disappointed in our first visit to Miss Nola’s. There are definitely some go-to spots in Camas and this could be one of them with some improvements. We came here for dinner around 8pm knowing it would more than likely be slower and we wouldn’t have to wait for a table. Our server made a ‘joke’ that they were already closed which was kind of awkward as we couldn’t really tell if he was joking or not. I ordered the Charleston Mule as my drink and they served it to me ¾ of the way full. If I am paying $ 10 for a cocktail, I expect it to be all the way full upon arrival to my table. Their food prices are pretty good so I didn’t feel like I was walking out of there completely ripped off. We ordered the Mac & Cheese and Jambalaya. I really thought the Jambalaya was some of the best I’ve ever had but could have skipped the Mac & Cheese. It literally tasted like noodles with cheese on top with no other flavor. The service was just awkward. We had 3 different people coming and going from our table, making it seem unorganized and an unrelaxing meal for us. We got out of there spending $ 30, not wanting to order additional drinks or food.

Hush puppies were great, as was the roasted corn soup. I wish that was my meal in its entirety. But we had the gumbo yaya and crawfish étouffée. The rice in both dishes was crunchy. The flavor was just ok. Nothing to brag about, and I would not order again. Also, their drink prices are insane.

Stopped in here for lunch today. I have been wanting to try it as I love Cajun food and was happy to see such a restaurant come to Camas. When we arrived, there were two other families already seated. We were told to take any seat we wanted, so we took a seat by the window. I didn’t count but there must have been about 8 tables in all. We waited a few minutes and a friendly waiter came to take our drink order. It was very cold and windy today so I ordered a Bourbon Street coffee. It is a cocktail, which I normally don’t order for lunch, but it was hot and yummy. Just the right rink to warm you up. A little bit later our waiter came back to take our food order and deliver some hush puppies with honey butter. In all, our group ordered the Mac n cheese, gumbo and corn soup. Everything was very good, but the gumbo wasn’t spicy at all. I was little disappointed with that since gumbo should have a little kick. There was hot sauce on the table, tho. The corn soup was very hearty, but the star was the Mac n cheese. Very good and a good choice for kids. The service was good, maybe a tad slow but there was only one server working. In all, I was pretty happy with the place and look forward to trying it again.

Ever want to visit New Orleans to sample the food fare? Save the plane cost and just drive to downtown Camas for some great New Orleans taste treats. For a brand new place, they’ve done well getting some great items on the menu.

The good: pickled okra, hush puppies, fried chicken, Mac and cheese, Cajun burger The bad: crawfish etouffe, oyster po boy And the UGLY: the service and the French fries I really wanted to like this place but left somewhat conflicted. Overall the food was ok, not super authentic but really hit or miss, like really good hush puppies and really horrible French fries. I would rather have had frozen tater tots. If the service was better I would probably give it another try. The staff was nice enough and they had 3 people for 10 tables but It felt like utter chaos. Painfully slow and the worst part, overcharged on the bill. When I brought up the overcharge, no apologies. Really? I worked as a waiter for many years, you always profusely apologize if you make a mistake. The prices are quite reasonable and the Cajun theme is a nice addition to downtown Camas. There is more upside than downside so hopefully they will work out the problems.

Been customers of Tim and his wife from the day they opened Harvest, then Feast 316 now Miss Nola’s. Family and I went in a few weeks ago for the first time, very cute, service is really second to none. Love that their kids run around and their places are always very warm and fuzzy. Yes, those hushpuppies are great and thank you so much for the first one, we even ordered another round. Then came our drinks. I really should’ve known not to order a cocktail as this is a restaurant not a bar(not close to Feast cocktails). Not very good at all, either too sweet or too sour for each of ours. Not sure if it’s the way they made them or the quality of liquor/mixes they serve? Should be same as Feast but for some reason don’t come out same. Next came our meals. I want to love everything Tim(and his staff) cook but the fried chicken was terrible. It was so over-cooked and the coating was very bad. Probably due to being so over-cooked is my guess. Those fries are also really bad. Cold and limp, please don’t serve them anymore. All of us got them and none of us could eat them. I too have been to the South many times and they simply don’t serve them like that. We will continue to go there because we love the atmosphere, staff and most of the food. Might be that it’s a function of ensuring consistent quality when Tim’s not around to do the cooking. Actually I don’t know he does cook anymore, each time we go to either place he’s not cooking or even in the kitchen for more than two minutes. Unload his car in his grungy shorts yes, but not cook LOL. Always wanted to try his meatloaf so next time will try that instead.

Another great restaurant in Camas! Not many places can get southern cuisine right but Miss Nola’s nails it! Family and friends had Oysters on the half shell, Mac n Cheese, Crawfish Etouffé, and Steak bites. All were delicious! A few familiar dishes from Harvest and Feast make appearances here too. My only complaint, be open more often — like everyday lunch/dinner. Cheers!

Insanely good. The flavors were great, the servings were generous and the host was charming. I was there with my colleagues for lunch but my shrimp po-boy and all the appetizers and sides were wonderful. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu especially the ettoufee and the shrimp and grits.

So delicious and sweet and friendly service. The best hush puppies I have ever had! So fluffy and light and moist and oniony. I ordered the grillard and grits. It was a fried pork cutlet, a little dish of tasso gravy and a side of grits. They were so good! The pork was a little chewy and I was hoping there was a little more sauce in the gravy(it was pretty heavy on the ham chunks), but over all a delicious carb bomb meal. If I find myself in Camas again I will be anxious to go there.

Found out about this place in the Camas Washougal Post Record. I was hoping for a delicious po’ boy and you delivered. Delicious hush puppies to boot. Atmosphere is fun and very New Orleans. Nick took great care of us, kudos to his service and personality. So glad we have some good southern food in the local area! One thing that would make it even better: imagine this; Café Du Monde beignets made fresh. A window facing the street so that people can watch them being made. That would REALLY make it a N’awlins’ feel! Even without that, you guys nailed it. We’ll be back!

Very disappointed. For being a new business, it would be fair to assume that a business would be all about customer service and satisfaction… well not so much with this new establishment. We tried Nola’s a few weeks ago and it was ok so we decided to give it another try. Tonight we called the restaurant to order some food for pick up. I was told that it was getting busy and I’d have to call back later to order food. I asked when would be a good time to call back… the response changed to ‘it might not happen at all tonight, we’re busy.’ I hung up and decided to call back to talk to the owner. She answered and again I got the same negative tone, ‘ya, we’re busy tonight and won’t be taking any to go orders.’ I explained that maybe they should post the no to-go orders accepted on their website. Her sarcastic response to me was, ‘ya, I’ll get right on that.’ All I can say is wow. I get that you may be overwhelmed but when you become downright rude to customers… careful, don’t get so arrogant; especially when your food is just mediocre. We will not be going back to support this business and I will urge others to do the same. Oh…and if you write anything negative about this business, be prepared to get harassed by the owner and/or their friends, like I have.

I hadn’t had a chance to try this place when it was harvest but the new menu is perfection. There isn’t any place like it unless you want to go to Portland! The service was top notch. The waiter was very knowledgable about the array of dishes they made and was even able to recommend a gluten free option for my kiddo! The food itself… You could tell someone took care in preparing the meal, you could taste the soul. The Mac and cheese was rich and practically melted in my mouth. The fried chicken was savory! My kid had the red beans and rice(important to note that he doesn’t like beans!) and he devoured it! I’ll be back to this joint!

My husband and I are big Harvest Restaurant fans, we were curious about the menu and name change. Miss Nola’s café was very good. I am not a big Creole Cajun fan but the Salmon Cakes and Oysters were GREAT! The Bacon, Apple Collared greens were seasoned well and the Chef was open to feedback. The service was very warm and accommodating. We will be back.

This is a difficult review to write. I would easily rate the service, albeit a bit sluggish, 5 stars. The service was really not the problem for me. This place is truly charming. I mean, really. They have a really sweet new décor that lends to the southern theme of the restaurant. A tin roof façade, warm and cheerful colors and artwork, it really just makes you excited for the food. The food on the other hand, was relatively disappointing. I think the biggest problem was that everything had an absolutely overwhelming amount of salt on it. And believe me — I can handle salt, no problem. But where a dash of it serves as a magnifying glass for flavor, the amount that was served on every part of our meal made the flavors just seem rather muddy. I ordered the crispy chicken livers, but again, the flavor of the livers was just drowned. We also got hush puppies, salad, corn chowder, and collard greens(the greens, while not over salted, were absolutely soaking with raw vinegar). I am pretty certain they had a staffing issue that day, and that may have explained the lack of quality in the food. They were rather short handed. I’m sure there will be people who say that it’s just the way southern food is prepared, but not so. I have had southern food and this left much to be desired. Nonetheless, I loved Harvest. And because of that, I intend to return and give this place another shot.

When I heard that there was going to be a little piece of Southern Style coming to little old Camas I was ecstatic. I first saw it on The Columbian, and reading through what staff writer Justin Runquist said, I was hooked. But sadly, the majority of the facts are wrong. First he said that«McKusker plans to keep the restaurant open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday». Hours are posted to the right as you walk in. Sunday and Monday are closed, but when we were there on a Wednesday night the sign said«11:30am to 8:30pm» — still, the restaurant had 8 of the 10 or so tables sat the whole evening. And the second thing that he said was«Glancing around the walls inside, you’ll notice voodoo dolls, crocodile heads, and even some old muskets, and soon, McKusker plans to install a wall shelf to display a collection of about 200 hot sauces from all over the country.» Unfortunately, none of these wonderful things are up. The walls are Orange, and there are some cute photos of a child, but nothing super southern. We had the hush puppies(first one is on the house) the Mac and Cheese, Steak Bites and the catfish. Catfish was slimy and had no flavor. The mac and cheese was to die for and so were the hush puppies. The Steak Bites were decent, but I expected to see more steak on the plate. We also ordered their version of a Moscow mule and a hard lemonade, which were both extremely sweet. All in all 3 star at most for this new joint. My hopes were very high! We will give it a few months and return in hopes of finding something better on the menu.

Everything Tim(the owner) touches turns to gold. Miss Nola’s Café is no different. After spending 10 years in «The Big Easy» it’s clear that he has brought the Cajun touch to Camas. What a great menu with nothing over $ 15.00. I promise you that once you visit this great restaurant you’ll make It a weekly event. Run don’t walk to this restaurant! Menu includes Po-Boys, ettouffe, fried catfish, collared greens, red beans and rice and sooooo much more. OMG I might be a gator after all.
