I order pizza on January 2, 2016 at 6:00 and after taking my first bite I realized that it was old… I literally only ate the crust with the blue ranch dressing… I pay $ 20+ for nothing… Thank God for the Blue Range dressing otherwise it was horrible

Went here with a friend. The food was great and the waitress was nice to refill the bun stack when it got empty. Will probably go here sometime again.

Came here with two coworkers for lunch after visiting the MIT museum. One of them knew a local who recommended this restaurant. Bertucci’s is a casual Italian eatery, with a huge kitchen featuring brick ovens and plenty of seating. Colorful menus showing all sorts of pizzas, pastas, salads, etc. Huge seating area. Service was great and the food was excellent(we all got individual, small pizzas which are 8-inch diameter). Appetizers include piping hot and soft bread rolls with premixed olive oil/rosemary/red pepper dip. Also a refreshing green salad with olives in a large bowl for sharing. I got the Ultimate Bertucci which is a meat lover’s pizza — four quadrants of different flavors: chicken, ham, and two types if sausage with different taste and textures. Crust was thin and crispy without being burned, and perfect balance of sauce and cheese. Very affordable prices, and I could see waitresses handling huge dishes of pasta to other guests — generous portions obviously.

My boyfriend and I go here for date night from time to time and always request the same waiter(Chris). He’s a really funny and makes our dining experience one-of-a-kind every time! A great server as well(attentive to our needs, gets the drinks and food out very quickly. Totally recommend requesting him as your waiter!

Since its finally spring and we work so hard, our boss treated us to lunch. I called one day prior and placed a phone order from off of their catering menu: 1 large farmhouse salad: The salad was good and came naked. We didn’t eat it with any dressing and it was still very flavorful. I liked how although it was a salad that feeds 6 – 8 people all ingredients were separated which was awesome since I don’t eat meat. It was convenient having the pepperoni’s in their own pile and not mixed in. 1 margarita pizza: Delicious 1 pepperoni pizza: I don’t eat meat but everyone else enjoyed it. 1 veggie pizza: So many veggies, so little time. I love veggies so this was very good. Everything was tasty and the delivery service was right on time and professional! It was smooth sailing and our department really enjoyed everything and my boss gave me the $ 5 off coupon! Score!

They have the best bread rolls I’ve ever had, and you can get as many of them as you like, for free. Their pizzas are great too, and the eggplant parmigiana is one excellent as well.

Your average Bertucci’s. Always go for the pizza Margherita. Can never go wrong with it.

Staff is friendly and helpful but the food is always mediocre at best. Today had the Salmon Pesto salid and it arrived with fermenting lettuce and a piece of salmon that was burned to a crisp. They made it right by,

Giving 2 stars because the delivery guy was nice. However, when I opened the container, half of the sauce was in the bag along with the contents. Not happy

The following is based on a TRU story: Few other eating establishments have such an odd place in my life’s story. When I was but a schoolboy at the tender age of fourteen, my class went on a field trip to this Bertucci’s. Why This place? Budget cuts. On the way there, one of my teachers howled, as per usual, the itinerary for our stay in Boston. After she mentioned dinner at Berruchi’s, one of my peers inquired about dessert and whether we would receive it or not. This teacher, and the rest of our instructors, became livid. One stood up and scolded, «How dare to speak that way on a school sponsored function? You are representing your school, your family, and your town by going on this trip! We will not hesitate to send anyone home who thinks it wise to speak like that again!» We were dumbstruck. The boy retorted, «I just wanted to know if we were getting dessert.» Needless to say, we didn’t get dessert. The second Bertuchiz incident happened two years later. My friends and I went to MIT for a competition that was a vain attempt to get us into college. Our waiter’s name was Serene. She was from The Islands. She had this blank stare and a long, mystical drawl to everything she said. After she took our orders and brought out the pizza, a certain Unilocaler asked if he could get some oregano to go with his dish. She was perplexed. The question seemed to strike her very core. Serene asked the Unilocaling boy to repeat himself. «Oregano,» she asked. «What is thaaaaht??» It’s uncommon enough to find a charming woman of The Islands as one’s waiter in an Italian restaurant. To find a waiter who doesn’t know what oregano was seemed impossible. Until that day. Then it became possible. The doormat had a pizza on it. Mat game on point. 5⁄5.

I really don’t like writing negative reviews. I also don’t like complaining. That being said, I will make an exception for this Bertuccis. I love going to Bertuccis in general because the food is consistent and cheap. I know what to expect. I always get the Grilled Chicken Chopped Salad with the dressing on the side. I know this salad. Iceberg lettuce, chopped tomatoes, chopped cucumbers, bacon, grilled chicken, and a gorgonzola vinaigrette. 1) Took a longer time than normal. 2) Came with dressing on the side… but also completely dressed– no– DOUSED in dressing. The waitress immediately offered to take it back, but she was a little hesitant about it, «Like, oh, I can take it back if you really can’t handle it.» I gave it a try but it was honestly soaked and I just didn’t want to settle. I asked for a re-do. 3) The second one came out much faster(why did the first one take so long?) but it was covered in blue cheese and was missing the bacon. 4) The waitress took away the first two salads and told me she would bring a third. Then she came back and gave me a list of reasons why the salad was wrong… but honestly, I get this salad exactly the way I like it at every other Bertuccis. With no problem. 5) I ultimately lost my appetite… feeling like if I ever got the correct salad, it would be spit on or something. 6) The manager offered to take it off the bill, or to give me a piece of cake. I just didn’t want it, I was bummed out. :( 7) Also if someone is ordering a salad with dressing on the side, do you seriously think they want a giant piece of cake? I feel kinda bad, the waitress was really nice and was trying her best. I also don’t think that I was being a nightmare customer. I was very nice the entire time, I just had a really bad experience. I feel like the whole place is disorganized and sloppy. There are much better options and even better bertuccis within a short distance. Ugh.

I enjoy going to Bertucci’s and the people there know me since I’m a regular. Once you go there regularly once every month or two, the waiters do extra favors that not other customers would get.

For me to write a negative on a pizza place, it had to have been an experience that struck me. I can understand if the wait staff is new and/or inexperienced. I don’t hold that against them and it is reflected in my tip(unless of course the service is so lousy and rude that I am left no choice.) so that is not my main concern here. We arrived at 8 pm on a Saturday night when they have a 10pm closing, there was a decent business going on but not too busy. The quality of the food was severely lacking. Our party of 3 ordered the Ultimate Bertucci, and one order of Chicken Marsala for the non pizza eater. For their signature pizza, especially a brick oven specialty, I expected so much more. The toppings were sparse, like they took a medium or small, and spread them over a large crust. Speaking of crust which I normally eat the entire thing, blah. That’s all I can say. The sausage, I mean all the different meats used, were bland. Cheese? What cheese? Now to the Chicken Marsala which I tasted. Come on guys… really? You use what I figure was canned brown gravy? She didn’t eat the whole thing either. Usually I finish her plates, but one taste was enough. And this was listed under their ‘Specialties’ Menu. At least the chianti was good. Being from out of town, our friend recommended the place and went there with us and he said it was probably the best in town, so I didn’t want to embarrass him by complaining. But I think next time I’ll check Unilocal first.

The food here is good for the price– I personally recommend chicken tortellini, chicken Domani, or pasta and meatballs. The service is hit or miss, mostly because the manager seems to have a bad attitude herself. Order for take out if you can.

I like this Bertuccis. It’s never really crowded and their food is pretty consistent. Delivery can be a longer wait around dinner time– no matter what day it is. I recommend calling around 4 – 4:30pm for 1 hour delivery, otherwise it may be up to 2 hours plus a long wait on hold when you call. Note, Bertuccis has an online ordering system– but this Bertuccis does not use it. The website has said it is «coming soon» for about a year now. Come on guys, it would really help streamline the process for customers and staff! Oh and for delivery or pickup they will give you as many rolls as you want– one time we asked for 4 and they misheard us so we got 14! Hah.

Great easy go-to dinner or lunch place. Tasty sangria! Also really nice to have a gluten-free menu. Vegetables always come out delicious! And my stomach never hurts after a meal here. Attentive service.

Perhaps restaurants such as this one are best to be left unreviewed … alas … people of Central Square and Area Four need to know that having dinner at this Bertucci’s can ruin your evening. Yes, they have those hot rolls that are usually tasty and you can dip your heart away in the accompanying olive oil. Yes, the pizza comes in individual size and there’s a brick oven in the back. Yes, the restaurant is a chain and usually at chains, food tastes similarly from one venue to the next. But how many ways can one locale mess up your meal? Let me count the ways: 1. You order a carafe of house chianti and it takes not 1 but three tries to get the order correctly served … 45 minutes after the order(but it does come before dinner). 2. You order appetizers which come AFTER the first dinner plate is served. 3. Your mis-ordered pizza is returned to the kitchen… a new one comes out and it’s wrong, but you start eating it coz we’ve waited at least 30 minutes post wine carafe to eat … and a THIRD pizza is delivered(slightly more correctly made — how do you mess up the margherita pizza?!) 4. Salad comes after dinner plate. 5. Even a sauceless calzone is wet. 6. Spaghetti is wet and school cafeteria-like 7. two and a half hours later… I’d like to mention that I went to Bertucci’s with low expectations… but it’s a friends’ choice and the gals love American food. Plus, it’s VERY close to Cuchi Cuchi(disappointing meal-Savior!). Not my first choice for out-of-towners… for dinner… on a holiday week, but these things happen… like those low expectations can be torn from the threads of hope you had for a place and never be corrected. Bottom line… if you do go here… just order a family pizza, some soda, and get the heck out. The longer you stay, it seems the less likely you will be served in a reasonable amount of time. And the more the staff disappoint you, the even more less likely they’ll attend to you(like bring you a bill so you can get the heck out). Enough complaining. Please don’t judge Central-Kendall on piss poor service and quality food. Try anything else(maybe not Pu Pu Hot Pot)!

Strolled into this place for a sunday easter brunch with the SO. The staff was minimal, service was OK, food was standard. The server was very helpful and the food came out to ordered. Overall a decent dining experience. I mean it’s bertucci’s its a chain, there isn’t much to say.
