This place has a 20s-ish speakeasy feel, fantastic staff in Costume, wonderful food and cocktails. I loved my not sweet OrientExpress* | muddled kiwi, orange, lemongrass, cranberry juice, citrus vodka, lychee liqueur, champagne float… The scallop ceviche and Bracioletta Ripiena di Maiale(Italy) | grilled pork rolls filled w/Pecorino Romano cheese, sautéed garlic, arugula; wrapped in pancetta So so yummy, go now!

Came here for a late night cocktail for my birthday. The drink list is HUGE. Theres one whole page just for muddled drinks. Service was great, and the bartender didnt hesitate to answer any questions even though they were clearly closing soon. I cant wait to come back and try the food!

If you like spice, try the Josh Fizz(Ramos Fizz + jalapeño). Great cocktails, great atmosphere. On a Saturday at 8pm, pretty crowded. I’d get here early or hope for a good spot at the bar, and then you’ll have an amazing night.

First experience at Cuchi Cuchi based on other Unilocalers and my man and I were knocked off our socks in the best of ways. Lucked out with bar seats amid fantastic ambiance, goergeous and talented bartenders and off the chart good food, small tasty plates that didn’t fill you up but satisfied. Drinks were not made, but created, and the presentation was only out done by the taste and pleasant delivery. Loved it from the moment we were greeted till the moment we stood up to go. We will take the 50 mile drive again no question.

Cuchi Cuchi is a quite eclectic restaurant with an incohesive menu of international small plates. The highlight is definitely the cocktails. There was a huge selection to choose from and they were well presented and tasty. The food itself is fine. It is overpriced in my opinion. For the diversity of ingredients and the price, I expected the flavors to be fuller and more conclusive. That said, the food was still good and I enjoyed the gobi manchurian fried cauliflower dish as well as tsukune chicken meatballs. It would have been 4 stars except that one of my cocktail glasses had lipstick on it and the silverware was sticky. That kind of dampens the experience. All in all, come for the atmosphere, come for the drinks. We probably will not be returning any time soon.

I love Cuchi Cuchi. The food and drinks are amazing. We tried the MoulinRouge(berry flavored), SoMuchToDrinkSoLittleTime(mango flavored), BebopaDivaYou’reMyBaby(lychee flavored) cocktails. I loved the mango and the berry one. The food is also amazing. As a vegetarian we got the Asian salad, Fried artichoke hearts and grilled eggplant napoleon. My favorite was the Eggplant stack and the salad. We even got the garlic shrimp, grilled pork rolls and tsukune chicken balls. The garlic shrimp was the favorite I guess. For dessert we got the French Banana Bread Extravaganza which lived upto its name and was delicious. The whole burlesque theme is very cute and the servers are very friendly and nice.

Great place for a date night. The food was amazing. Loved the Chicken Kiev, spaghetti and Potato Croquettes. I also tried the gobi manchurian which was average at best. They recommend you to share it with everyone at the table; there isn’t enough to share even for two people. The portions are very small for the price which is why this place gets a 4 instead 5 stars.

Loved this place so much I’m coming back tomorrow night! I heard about Cuchi Cuchi from a coworker and decided to try it out on a Monday night. I made reservations through Unilocal for 6:30pm but it seems like there were plenty of tables when we arrived. The place is fun! The décor is 1920s with a little burlesque feel. There are over 60 different cocktails to choose from. I tried the Once Upon A Time in Mexico cocktail which had a little spicy kick. Very good. I also tried the Moulin Rouge. Also excellent. All the food comes as tapas to share with the table. My mom and I ordered 4 dishes plus dessert which was a little much for us two. The dishes we tried were: Cuban Cigar — Excellent 9⁄10 Brie en Croute — My favorite dish of the night. It has a little honey to give it a sweet taste. 10⁄10 Duck a l’Orange Crepes — Good but wouldn’t order it again. 6⁄10 Gobi Manchurian — crispy cauliflower. Very good with a lot of flavor. 8⁄10 For dessert we got the French Banana Bread Extravaganza. It was huge for two people and we were so full but we finished it so fast! It was 10⁄10! Slightly burned on the edges and moist and soft. Can’t pass this up! Very happy with everything ordered and the service was great too. Coming back tomorrow. :)

Being here a couple of times. The ambience was nice for dinners and night drinks, although it could be quite crowded. The service was an okay, and slow at times. The food was quite interesting that seemed to come from different places of the world.

This restaurant is great if you want something very different from other restaurants around Boston. This place transports you to a different era in their atmosphere – all the waitresses wear costumes that are fun, quirky, and a little old-fashioned/burlesquey. This restaurant is a «tapas» style but they don’t like to call it «tapas» because they offer dishes from various different countries. I recommend ordering about 4 – 5 dishes, but they are larger than normal tapas so beware or you might end up with too much food. They have amazing and long list of drinks and can easily tell you which is best for you based on your preferences. Would recommend for a date or for girlfriends looking for a good time over drinks. This is definitely a smaller restaurant so I would recommend making a reservation.

Hands down Cuchi Cuchi is THE best restaurant I’ve been to in a long while. Came here for my boyfriend’s birthday and we were beyond satisfied with the experience. Not cheap but worth the experience for anyone willing to splurge. Get ready to spend at least $ 100 to get full + drinks. Theme= All staff are dressed in «burlesque» attire with elaborate make up and costumes. Think Moulin Rouge. Dimly lit, fun vibes, something interesting in every corner. Service= Noelle W. was spectacular, so blown away I happily tipped her extra. So rare to find such exceptional service these days= always smiling, checking in how we liked a dish, memorized our order perfectly, made smooth small talk. Thank you, you’re fabulous! Food= Cuchi ^2’s theme is small, international dishes. Each dish is perfect to share, order ~5 dishes in order to get full. Drinks= extensive booze menu. Strong beverages. Top 3 Recs: +++Seafood filled avocado– includes 1 lobster tail, slices of octopus, and a peeled whole avocado stuffed with grilled shrimp, scallops, n’ salsa. +++Grilled skirt steak– get it medium rare. Served with fried yucca fries which were rather dry, but dipping it in the steak sauce made up for it. + ++Banana bread extravaganza– oh my god. Amaze balls good. Crispy edged banana bread + whip cream + bananas + vanilla ice cream topped with caramel syrup. THE best dessert. Things you can skip: — Potato Croquette– 2 dipping sauces(blue cheese or tomato based). Not a fan of the blue cheese. Tomato based sauce tasted similar to tikka masala. –Cuban Cigar– a pastry shaped in the form of cigar filled with minced beef short ribs, served with black beans and salsa. People were raving about this on Unilocal.Nothing too special IMO, similar feels to eating a nice burrito.

First: the website says casual elegance attire is encouraged, *but* as long as you dress like you’re going to work(unless you’re a doctor or a lawyer, because then you’d look like an overdressed db or like you’re in costume) or wear a nice shirt and a pair of jeans, you’ll be fine. Yummy, yummy food, for a premium price. Some of the menu items are a bit overpriced. I was here on a Tuesday night with a friend, after looking for all of the possible gluten free options within walking distance from my house. This quaint little restaurant is easy to miss. From the outside, you would likely not even notice that this is a legitimate tapas restaurant. When you walk in, it’s as if you entered a prohibition era bar. I enocurage you to please ignore the anachronistic nature of the décor and to enjoy the experience. The women are dressed like flappers, the restaurant claims a part Spanish influence, but there’s a kimono on the wall, the potatoes are french, and the steak is Argentinean. We ate off of the gluten free menu(thank you for willingly engaging!), and we had vegetable skewers, the potatoes, green salad, and the Argentinean steak(well-done). I am a huge steak snob, and I am an even bigger gluten free menu snob. The skirt steak isn’t that big. It’s eight sliced pieces(because sharing is caring), and you don’t really even need a steak knife for it. The chimichurri sauce was quite nice. It still isn’t the best steak I’ve ever had, but at 20 some odd dollars, it was a relative steal! The vegetable skewers were really good. My friend usually hates good vegetables, but said that the skewers were different because they actually tasted delicious/edible/seasoned. Neither of us had any alcoholic drink, but I did have a Coke. It came in a glass bottle and is one of the made in Mexico bottles.(See, again?) The lighting is pretty nice– it’s dim all night and the soft music playing, even if out of context, can seem romantic. The couples near me clearly took that as an invitation to become more friendly with one another. I would love to come back here someday. Pretty huge price tag, but that’s the case in Boston.

We were staying nearby, looking for something different and stopped into Cuchi Cuchi after happening upon it without a reservation: we were we did and will make a reservation to return when we’re back in Cambridge. Cuchi Cuchi is all about ambiance, including not only the décor, but also costumed servers(think 1920’s); service was attentive without being intrusive and we enjoyed the vibe. Most of the plates are small, and having gone light on lunch we were ready to eat and ended up with five savory dishes as well as a single large desert. We’re not much for cocktails(I know, I know!) so we passed on their very extensive menu of the same(and the bar where they’re also available) and went directly to a table at which we ordered a bottle of full bodied Argentinian Malbec which we enjoyed. The cuisine is international and the dishes come out as they are ready(meaning the baked brie we ordered first ended up coming out last; luckily, it was worth the wait!). The Insalata del Liguria had a nice mix of fresh greens and flavors, the Grilled Eggplant Napoleon didn’t disappoint(even though we raised and cooked a full patch of them ourselves this summer), there were airy potato cheese croquettes with a duo of dipping sauces and a dense so-called Cuban Cigar(beef short ribs en croute with black bean salsa). Dishes were great for sharing and although after over 20 years together we’re hardly dating this definitely struck us as a place we’d go if we were. For desert the French Banana Bread Extravaganza wasn’t subtle, but it was fun and fortunately our server warned us it needed at least two to consume so along with a single Café Amore we ended the night on a sweet note.

Call ahead to confirm Cuchi Cuchi’s reservation policy, as I’m still not entirely sure what the process entails. That said, come by early enough and grab a seat at the bar, and you’re probably better off. There you can watch some of the city’s best mixologists at work, crafting cocktails so original, inspired, and mouth-wateringly delicious that you’ll be tempted to come back each and every day for as long as it takes to try them all(or develop cirrhosis, whichever happens first). That said I wish the food were as good as the drinks. As delicious as the dishes sound on paper, they don’t quite come together on the plate. The best dishes for me were the brie en croute and the much-discussed Cuban cigars. Nosh on those delectable bites, order a few cocktails, marvel at the schizophrenic décor from around the world, and I promise you’ll have yourself a good time.

Cuchi Cuchi — AMAZING. I visited Boston with a group of friends last year around this time and my fiancée stumbled upon this place. Every person in our group of 8 left ASTONISHED. I live in New York City and have been searching for the last year for a SMALLPLATES restaurant that comes close in quality — I’ve found good ones but nothing as good as Cuchi Cuchi yet. Everything was top notch — the prohibition era ambiance, the cocktails, the service, and obviously the small plates. I am not kidding, I would make a weekend trip back to Boston just to come here.

Been here a few times with the most recent visit this Halloween. Ambiance and vibe is the same as I remembered it — eclectic, full of mystique and very sexy. It could really let you lose your inhibitions which happened to be what was going on with the couple from the table behind us :) The staff and most of the patrons were dressed to the 9’s with dramatic makeup, costumes and supercharged with Halloween spirit. In hindsight, this was probably the liveliest of the 3 places we went that night, complete with a DJ and a packed makeshift dance floor on full blast off on the bar side. We started off our night perusing their endless cocktail menu. So unique and many of these concoctions sounded wonderful. We got to try 4 different cocktails between the 2 of us but unfortunately, reviews were mixed with my 2 choices being the stinkers. I tried their the Basil & Cucumber Gin Gimlet which wasn’t awful, just a bit flat, but then followed it with a drink called the Stockholm per our server’s suggestion. Wow, it was so nasty and smoky tasting that it completely overpowered our palettes and made everything else we tried eating smoky as well. It should maybe be renamed the«Mask». So strong that it masks all other flavors you attempt to put in your mouth. It was very difficult to drink and we ended up leaving it still full on our table. The other two, Blood & Sand and the Whisky Go Go were pretty great and highly recommended. It went down nicely and had a very smooth finish. On our tapas, we tried the following: Potato Croquettes — Not sure what happened here but we had 2 different kinds of potato croquettes. Both of our first bites took us on a tailspin as we weren’t ready for a pungent goat cheese type taste coming from it BUT here’s the kicker. It was only limited to our first piece. Yes, so very strange. The rest of our croquettes were made with a much more milder cheese and exactly what we expected. 2⁄5 for our first bite, 4⁄5 for the remainder. Seafood filled Avocado — Highly highly recommended. Avocado was very fresh but the seafood filling was sooo good. Very zesty and surprised us with the quality. 4.5÷5 Tuna Lavish — Pretty good but it really is best characterized as a Ahi Tuna roll up. Again, good but you should be in the mood for that when you’re thinking of ordering it. Moroccan Chicken — Came highly recommended by our server as one of the best chicken options. Didn’t try it personally but it was enjoyed thoroughly. Overall, ambiance was perfect, server was a sweetheart albeit a bit forgetful at times and food for the most part was very good. Is it too picky to say this was 3.75 overall upped to a 4? Final note — If you order the right food and drinks, definitely 4 – 4.5…4.5 because the ambiance really delivers and with good food and drinks, you could have an awesome night here so pay attention to what you get!

The best thing about this place was the service. Our server was adorable, funny, engaged and on top of everything. The second best thing about this place was the atmosphere. So much fun. Loved the décor. Which leaves the food, which was inconsistent. Some was great, some was ok, some was not very good at all. They are doing a lot right here, and I think if they kicked it up a few notches on the food this would be a return to spot. The croquettes were good, the beat salad was«OK» the banana bread dessert was GREAT. The Brie en croute was good, the eggplant was not good, the artichokes were OK but disappointing, sounded better on the menu. The pork deal I got with the sizzling rosemary was good, but I wouldn’t order it again. Fun experience, though and worth a visit.

I love this place! :-)) A-M-A-Z-I-N-G cocktails! There’s so many different options of what to order from, the drink list is literally pages long! Also all the drinks I’ve had here are very strong. I only need two and I’m good. Reasonable Boston price for drinks($ 10 – 14) and food is more on the expensive side(small portions) but it is defiantly worth it~ ALSO inside is absolutely gorgeous! Everyone who works there are dressed up in costumes(flapper/burlesque style)! *really great place to go for a special occasion*

Fun ambience and fantastic service. As for the food, we were a big group so I think we tried almost everything vegetarian on the menu. I loved the Mexican tomato, potato croquettes and the gobi Manchurian. Didn’t love the potato gratin and eggplant. The drinks were a lot more innovative than the tapas, a fun selection of vintage and contemporary cocktails. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it for really large groups as I think you lose the experience the restaurant is aiming for, but definitely a good spot for a date night, out of town guests or small group of friends.

if youd like to try a new spot with a DIFFERENT vibe and scenery then visit Cuchi Cuchi. its a cool flapper burlesque restaurant/bar. the waitresses are dressed in costumes of the 20s era. the space is a tad small and barely lit. cozy lights make it feel romantic and chill. waitresses were friendly and on point with serving our drinks and foods. they have a cool LED table that lights up and is surrounded by bench style seats loaded with throw pillows. it makes for a fun seat if you have a bday party or special occasion. the only slight downside was the food. they do warn that apps are small and aren’t much for sharing. the menu is a tad fancy, not your average chain restaurant apps. they do have different apps like brioche stuffed puff pastry. along with marinated mushrooms and veggie skewers. the food was tasty but to go here for«dinner» is not recommended. you will not leave full. the drink menu is very good. lots and lots of options, tons of fun shots such as the«Brazilian wax» which is what we ordered. shot glasses are fun and add a little sass and sexiness to the night. i would return for sure, nice place to bring a friend if they are new to the area and you want to show them something new and different. or if they love the 20s and you want to have drinks before heading out. a tad pricey but the atmosphere and drinks make t worth it. its fun. sexy. and def naughty with the«bottoms up» shot glasses ;)

Yummmm! My friend from London was in town and one of the things that I love about her is that she always trusts me to find one of my bookmarks for us to visit. We headed to Cuchi Cuchi and absolutely loved everything from the theme, to the décor to the food. The food was«quite nice»(across the pond slang) but we were wishing that the portions were a little larger. In addition to the small portions, all plates came out in 15 – 20 min intervals. In order to be full, you’ll probably need to order 3 – 4 menu items, but everything is scrumptious, so it’s worth it. We started off with very strong and tasty cocktails but I must say that the star of the show was the Mexican deep friend tomato. It was heavenly with so many flavors bursting at once. I’m licking my lips as I’m writing this. See my pics. We really loved the dessert which was warm banana bread, creamy vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. It was also very huge, bigger than the food portions. Whaaat? I can’t wait to come back! Other notes: –Metered parking all around. –Great date night spot. –Lots of Über pickups and drop offs. –The bar is a hot spot. –Although great, service was on the slow side, but it was cool because it gave us more time to chat. –Loved the dress code of the staff. I always love having my boobs out(in a classy way) and being that Cambridge/Boston is sooooo conservative I was very comfy here without the whispers of insecure women. Lol, it’s true though.

One of my friends I went with is paleo, and she found it a little hard to find items she could eat, buuuut that’s what happens when you’re on a restricting diet. I loved this place! I found the drinks to be a little pricey but WORTHEVERYPENNY. They do not skimp on the alcohol and the cocktails are creative and delicious with hilarious names(I think mine was the Ricky Ricardo?). The atmosphere is playful and fun. I would call it sophisticated but sassy. No formal frumps here. If it were the prohibition period and you wanted to go to a sexy/classy underground joint that served alcohol on the downlow, I think Cuchi Cuchi would’ve been that place. Also, they have this dessert called«banana bread extravaganza» and it is incredible. So much whipped cream, and the banana bread/cake is sooooo good. I’m salivating just typing about it.

Great food, phenomenal cocktails. The atmosphere is pretty kitschy, but it’s fun for a night out with the girls or something! My friend and I got 4 dishes to split(it’s all small plates there). The Cuban Cigar is a must have — it was both of our favorites! The duck l’orange crepes are also definitely worth ordering. The real star of this place I think are the cocktails, which are generously poured and absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be back just to grab drinks at some point.

I don’t even know what to say so I’ll start with this: if you live in/near Cambridge or if you’re here for a trip, RUN, DON’T WALK, TOCUCHICUCHI. My friend and I are both in town for separate conferences and we’ve been seeing the sights over the last few days. Today we decided to venture down to Harvard, and I did a quick check of Unilocal reviews of some local restaurants. As we were walking, Cuchi Cuchi looked to be the closest on Google maps. What a happy accident that we ended up here! I would recommend calling ahead and making a reservation. When we arrived, the hostess told us it would be a 45 minute wait. Luckily, neither of us minded eating at the bar and we were able to sit down right away. The ambiance of the restaurant is so, so cool. It has a burlesque-y vibe and the best word I can use to describe it is simply«sexy». This would be a fun place to take a date! It took us awhile to decide on our food and drinks. There were so many great options! I ended up getting a lemon drop martini and two dishes: the brie en croûte and the grilled Indian lamb. My friend got the grilled skirt steak and the gratin dauphinois. She had some trouble deciding on a drink, so we asked the bartender for her recommendation. She was incredibly helpful and as soon as she learned my friend’s tastes, she suggested the Heat of the Night — it has jalapeño, citrus vodka, watermelon juice, and lemon juice. What an incredible drink! I tried some and it was one of the most unique things I’ve ever tasted. Overall, this was a superb experience. The food was to die for, the atmosphere was fun, and we were still talking about dinner hours later. That’s how you KNOW it’s good!
