Just ordered from this place via Foodler, and won’t do it again. This is the worst pizza I’ve had in Boston. The pizza looked and tasted just like a Tombstone pizza, the kind you get for $ 5 from the frozen food section of the supermarket. Bland, rubbery, awful. Chicken fingers also appeared to be supermarket frozen-convenience-food low quality. To add insult to injury, they got my order wrong; I ordered a lemonade, but was delivered a Sprite. I told the driver that I ordered a lemonade, and he replied«Yeah, but we only sell Coke products. No Pepsi.» But lemonade is offered as a choice on your menu. «Yeah. Only Coke though.»

Great food! Just had the most amazing gyro in my life!!! Great food since the new owner took over! I’ve tried the baklava they have for desert and it’s fresh and juicy! Definitely must try food!

Ordered and prepaid via Foodler. Incredibly fast and convenient service. Pizza was ready right on schedule, presented by the very pleasant attendant, hot out of the oven as I walked in the door… I only had to give my name! Pizza was delicious. I will definitely go back to Stefani’s on Main Street in Cambridge!

My husband loved Stefani’s Pizza in 1995. Seriously. Apparently, it got him through graduate school. When he and I met, we went to Stefani’s and shared a pie with black olives and onions. I was impressed. Sure, Stefani’s had little to no ambience, but the pizza was good. Really good. And so, over the years, we have purchased our share of pies from Stefani’s(ONLY the one on Main, never ever the one on Brookline). However, the last time I went to Stefani’s, I sensed change was in the air. The old familiar faces were gone, and there were some new(totally friendly, but new) people running the place. I decided to be optimistic, and to assume the pizza would be as good as ever. When we got home, our favorite black olive and onion pizza tasted straight out of Dominos. We miss you, Stefanis.

I dropped by the place last month. The restaurant used to be owned by a Greek family, but apparently they sold it to a new owner. Simply put, the food is not the same. I ordered my favorite, the small pastrami grinder, it was pretty ordinary. The woman behind the counter making my sandwich was clearly a new hire.

I wish they had a zero rating. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this insulted and disappointed in a business. I placed an order for delivery. The delivery guy called me when he arrived and requested that I come downstairs to pick it up. I told him that I recently had knee surgery and wasn’t capable of walking down 4 flights, thus why I had tipped him well. He flat out refused to come up. It took me 3 calls to the manager just to get my food delivered. Absolutely ridiculous experience.

Miserable. The call: the noisy background made communication with the already-uninterested guy who answered the phone pretty much impossible. I had to tell him my address, then my number, then my address, then my number. Each time the process was excruciating. The delivery: prompt… no problems at all and no fee is nice. The food: tasted like circular Ellio’s pizza. And it was much smaller than I expected. The wings had no sauce whatsoever. They were disappointing in every way. The chili was terrible but apparently the cheeseburger sub was great. Don’t eat here.

I ordered a pizza. It came, it was hot. That is where the similarity to pizza ended. The sausage was a cut up hot dog. Not kidding. It was slices of a hot dog. A F***INGHOTDOGONMYPIZZA. THISISN’T PIZZAIT’S A HOTCIRCLEOFGARBAGE.

Ok, so I was very excited to visit this place because it is deemed as ‘halal’- the first thing that you notice when you enter this place is that it is very very small. you really can’t sit here and enjoy your meal– really more of a take out/delivery kinda place. The server(some middle eastern dude) was very nice. We ordered two dinner plates– both were below average to mediocre really. I also ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza– tasted pretty fresh. I guess, I’ll skip there dinner plates in the future, but will surely try their pizza again(perhaps delivery) and hopefully their subs too! :)

Stefani’s House of Pizza is a pretty small place but it delivers and does take-out which I strongly suggest. There’s always parking near it expect during peak lunch hours and they have some great subs and a wide variety of drinks available. Their pizzas are pretty good as well. The staff is friendly and the portions are generous considering their prices. I usually get the vegeteriana pizza which is pretty good and simple although I enjoy their cheeseburger subs as well. They are opened every day and it’s cheap.

I have no idea how the pizza is, but when I lived in Central I was completely addicted to their Italian sub: their perfect, perfect Italian sub. Sigh.

Subs — Generous and yummy. Pizza — Meh. Kind of like that generic«house of pizza» style. Owner — A serious asshole

My greater Boston chicken paaarm survey VS. one small chicken parm Who wins? Stefani and the cheap filling food. small chicken parm = B, hearty portion(can’t wait to see how big a large is!), flavorful tomato sauce lathered on thick, nicely toasted crispy sub bun, chicken cutlets a little chewy, decent cheese, served on a paper plate combined with the characters behind the counter discussing the«big booty girls» and the surly(in a good way) manager, it had a great local dive atmosphere. Overall, come here for cheap subs, grinders and calzones.

The pizza isn’t too good, but for my money it’s the best chicken parm sub in Cambridge. Get the small unless you want leftovers. Other reviews call the service«surly,» but Mr. Stefani is alright by me. Don’t expect fake smiles and obsequious bullshit, but they’re always helpful and nice enough. Ambiance somewhat lacking.

For what it is it is it. Fast pizza or a sub, quick and close. Don’t travel any vast distances. Cheese pizza for under ten dollars in ten minutes. Not much fun eating it there so you need to live close. Park on Windsor or in the church next door to pick it up. Fast fix.

A uniformly bland slice. The overriding flavor comes from the olive oil. I think it’s a little better than the Stefani’s on Brookline Street but I’m not going back to either one to do the comparison.

Good decent, cheap food. Gotten food deliveried from here when at my friend’s house having a few beers. It’s always been decent grub for the price. I was actually surprised the first time I had their pizza, it was pretty good and the ribs ain’t too bad either, neither was the salad. This is a wee old style greasy pizza place so don’t expect the style, class, nor prices of neighbouring places. 5 stars because it’s a good place for that genre of place.

So, I wanted NON-Emmas/Bertuccis/Fancy pizza because last night my friends ordered pizza that I couldn’t eat(it had bleu cheese on it) that was gross and today, I was craving some basic, cheesy, average, good crust pizza today at lunch. So, I came here on Unilocal and saw this average place right down the street from where I work. When I went in, I said, «ehhh, small, dirty, not very new or nice feeling place, but I’ll order» and I almost left right after ordering. I ordered a few slices of cheese and pepperoni pizza and the guy said that all they had sitting there was 2 slices of cheese. That’s always depressing when a pizza place doesn’t have fresh pizza to me. It actually kind of pisses me off, but I guess that’s what people need to expect in this city/world/life(I’m so deep, I know) at an «average pizza place.» Anyway, I said, «yea» to the 2 slices and waited patiently at a dirty table with a couple flies flying around… It was definitely average pizza, cheap($ 1.50 for a slice of cheese), and the crust was, well, crusty…(I hate pizza with sh! tty, non-tasty crust) I guess it’s an OK small place. If it served me fresh pizza, and I could eat at a clean table, without flies buzzing around me, then this place might get a 3 out of 5, but I probably won’t go back to find out if that would happen. Their business slogan should be «Cheap Average Pizza… but we don’t care about quality, your needs, or a nice atmosphere…» That might be too long for a business motto. Oh well.

Cheap pizza between MIT and central square. The sister restaurant of Cambridgeport’s own Stefani’s.
