It’s good, greasy, simple pizza. They have handled birthday party orders for 15 pizzas with no problem. I’m glad to have a pizza place like this in my neighborhood.

It took 38 minutes to make a chicken finger dinner(though I think they started when I came to pick it up, which probably means they forgot?) The main guy might be adorable to folks who have been coming for ages, but he was just incredibly rude and uninterested, and, most importantly — really confused about everything. Taking the order over the phone, getting it ready when I came to pick it up, like he was on another planet. Food was good and had a large portion, so that I guess is what’s important!

Greasy but delicious. There are so many pizza options nearby and way too many of them are terrible. But CambridgeHOP is shockingly good. If you live in Davis Square, the delivery is super fast and the driver will actually come to your door. Give them a call, you probably won’t be disappointed!

It’s a typical pizza shop. I’ve been coming here for years! I Love their pizza! The steak and cheese is ok, not my favorite though. They have parking.

Ordered a couple of slices of cheese pizza. Cheap, greasy, not special. I’m not sure why you would get pizza here with Fiorella’s Express across Mass Ave.

Ladies DEFINITELY don’t walk in there wearing a romper, what a fucking creep behind the counter. He wouldn’t even let me order before I had a full conversation about what I was wresting, how nicely it fit and how tanned I look. Gross. Never again. I literally threw my money on the counter and ran out. My friend went in to pick up he good for me thankfully

I was really excited to have a local pizza place within walking distance of my apartment, and have come to really love this place over the last two years. The guys who work the front have been in the neighborhood for a long time, and they’re awesome. Super friendly, quick, and they make a pretty great pizza. Walking home to my cats with a large pepperoni on a cold night is one of my favorite routines. The cats go crazy at the smell of pepperoni, and having been conditioned as a young child to associate the smell of warm cardboard with pizza, I’m salivating by the time I get back to my apartment. Good stuff. They also make excellent sandwiches, which my girlfriend and I lived off of when we were first moving into and painting our apartment. Would recommend!

I have been ordering takeout from this place for nearly 20 years. Excellent food, good prices and great people — everything you want in a place. My teens love it, too! I order the pepperoni and green pepper. But the subs are fantastic too!

Great two slices of cheese and 20oz soda for $ 5.25 deal. I have stopped in twice this week for it!

Great pizza for a hangover, but if you’re looking for a good slice, not recommended. Staffer there was also really creepy… really wish I hadn’t been in the place by myself. Pizza could have used a few more minutes in the oven but fine by me as I didn’t want to stay there another minute making uncomfortable, prying, and creepy small talk.

Ive only ever had their gyros and they are pretty freaking awesome I must say. Always fresh and really tasty. This place doesn’t get 4 stars because the middle aged guy working there too comfortable when making small talk and is actually a bit creepy. Whenever i go here for lunch i get in and out as quick as possible if i see him there.

My coworker suggested this place for lunch and I was up for something greasy. The guy who took our order specifically asked whether we wanted cheese on our grinders(meatball for her and steak & mushroom for me). The bread was ok, but guess what? No cheese. The steak was dry. And I doubt there was enough slices of mushroom in the grinder to make up even one mushroom. No matter — you get what you pay for, right? Well, reportedly anyways. What made my coworker and I uncomfortable was my receipt. He had asked if I wanted a drink with my order when I presented — you guessed it – a credit card. I declined, and he turned his head a few times looking around(at the menu?). Then punched in $ 7.97. I thought it was weird, but didn’t say anything. During the walk back, my coworker scratches her head and confesses she thought I was overcharged. We looked at the prices again online. According to every menu posted for this joint(one such here: ), the steak & mushroom grinder is $ 4.25 and $ 5.25. Let’s go with the latter price, which comes to $ 5.58 with tax. Even then, I was still charged an extra $ 2.39. The only reason this review is receiving an extra star is because my coworker shared her mozzarella sticks with me and they were okay, but if I weren’t such a supporter for small businesses, I would’ve filed a dispute with my credit card. It’s the principle of the thing. Not saying this place is bad for food(you get what you pay for, which is a run-of-the-mill pizza and grinder joint), but do be aware of what you get charged if paying by card. Bring cash.

Cheap but bad. Pros: –barely need to crawl out of my apartment -$ 1.30 a slice –exists Cons: –pizza is bad; it’s greasy and bland –tiny slices –unfriendly staff

A fairly awful Greek pizza dive. The pizza is insanely greasy and they absolutely douse the crust in cheap, pasty, flavorless sauce. Even worse are the calzones. They’re like crusty water balloons filled with tomato paste and grease. I’m assuming the crust is pre-made and stored in the freezer because it tastes odd, just sort of stale and dehydrated like a frozen pizza. The one upside is that the food here is fairly cheap but I honestly wouldn’t eat this if it was given away for free unless I was absolutely starving. It’s not a big deal for me but the staff here are fairly rude and boorish, in particular the skinny old geezer who thinks he’s a gangster.

for what it is(a dirt cheap pizza/grinder joint), i actually expected better. pizza was fresh, but it just wasnt seasoned. the sauce had absolute zero kick/tartniess/saltiness. even the cheese had no flavor. major upset as i was looking forward to this place being my go-to pizza joint. also — they use insanely cheap flour for the pizzas. leave the pizza out on the dinner table for more than 30 minutes and it turns into plastic. folks that run the place were extremely nice and looked like hardworking folks… might give them another shot.

Let’s start with the fact that this store is located in Cambridge and not New York or Rome. Their pizza is priced very very economical compared to other pizza stores and the pizza it self is better than what I’ve tasted any where near a 50 mile radius from around here, which is Cambridge. Fries are good, baklava is delicious, onion ring is hella good but back to the pizza, it really hits the spot. Try it and you’ll see.

I must preface this review with a bold disclaimer: I am a New Yorker. Knowing that should ease your confusion as you read my review. I stumbled upon Cambridge House of Pizza as I was moving from my dear New York to Cambridge, MA. It was a frigid day, and I just wanted to go somewhere warm. I stopped by at this cute little place, which remind me(albeit briefly) of Astoria, Queens. I noticed that the slices were being sold at $ 1.31, and I quickly ordered 2. The smallness of each slice was a bit shocking to me– I’m used to somewhat larger slices of pizza(think: New York), and there was too much crust on the pizza. It seemed like it was just a way to get more money out of the consumer. A can of Pepsi was $ 1.05, but a can next door at the convenience store was $ 0.85. I am a diehard Pepsi fan, but that price difference was enough to have me sprinting next door. The pizza was decent, but it’s nothing to write home about. Western Massachusetts does pizza better(Antonio’s…Pinocchio’s…), but for the price, it’s a good deal here.

We go here regular enough. There has been times I felt that the pizza was just reheated and not fresh, when its fresh its very good when reheated I’m not a fan.

This place kills me. Mainly because I live directly across from it, and it constantly tempts me with its greesy goodness smell when i’m walking home from work. I will resist. And I do. Usually. They have some pretty decent subs, I especially enjoy the chicken parm and the meatball parm. Pizza is ok, but nothing to write home about. I still haven’t found«my» pizza joint. They deliver. Plus for all you people who would need to walk. We have joked about asking them to deliver to my house. Heh. don’t put it past us. As for the salad, haven’t had those either. I guess that should be the next one on the list.

I ended up buying a grilled chicken salad today because I forgot my lunch at home. The horror! The salad was excellent and I can walk here from my work! I am not sure about their pizza and greasy stuff, but I can vouch it’s «a-ok» in a healthy pinch
