The best! Great place to watch the game, drink a cheap pitcher and eat a cheap pizza, and sing your heart out. There’s nowhere else like it.

Ok place, crazy people watching and fair price on drinks. It’s definitely a dive bar with some very interesting people.

I get it. It’s Saturday night and the waitresses want to make money. Cool. I’ve been there too. But I’m the DD for four girls and asked our waitress for a water THREETIMES and she ignored me. Finally told me we could only have water if all 5 of us ordered bottled water. Had to finally go to the bar to ask for a glass of water, and at least he apologized for our waitresses’ asshole behavior. She was such a dick. She might even have a dick.

This place has been very good to my soul. Alberto, Chip, Timmy, That gigantic red headed German bartender and The other bartender that looks like French Montana don’t get enough credit for their hard work and dedication.

Probably somewhere between a 3 and a 4, really. This place is pretty cool — a lot of local dive charm. Great for a beer, not going to suggest the cheese fries, though — literally a slice or two of cheese«melted» over fries. Wasn’t even mad about it, but just wouldn’t recommend them, I guess. Cornhole, Karaōke, and conveniently located right between my place and laundromat… A good bartender and a game of Keno makes laundry night a little easier.

The drinks are free-flowing… unless you’re looking for something on the higher end. This is a friendly, slightly awkward dive bar. There is plenty of beer, but no Scotch. There is karaōke, but on a system that has seen better days(the mic stand fell apart in my hand and the songs are stored on multiple CD decks rather than a consolidated digital system). The restrooms are decently clean, but you have to be part-Smurf to fit in the stalls On the plus side, there are some interesting characters to keep you entertained and the bar staff are friendly. This may be a decent place to grab a beer, but this will not be on the list of places I frequent.

OK … one more update. It’s been 6 years, so I guess we’re due. Same old plastic picnic table cover charm, but cleaner taps! Don’t fear the well drinks, the fountain drinks, or the pitchers! Be fair warned about the jalapeño poppers, which literally pop molten-lava cream cheese onto your hands… don’t use the stuffed toy machine, it’s such a hoax… food is palatable. And of course, karaōke. Again. get there early so you can put your name in. The queue was 20 songs long only 5 minutes after the first song was sung. This was a Saturday and there were only 3 groups of people seated. OMG. I love Courtside. Please sing songs that pump up people rather than put them to sleep.

Karaōke and beer? Makes for a good mix once in a while. Nice place with good customers and staff.

I have only been here once. I came with some acquaintances for some drinks. I did not even know where I was going. It was one of those nights. On to the review! Location: It is a typical bar, I suppose. I generally don’t frequent bars, so I don’t know for sure. It was dark, loud, and not super clean. Pretty standard, right? The male bathroom is a tight squeeze — not the most comfy. Only one urinal and one stall. There is a lot of seating, though. Our very large party got a long table to sit down at. Service: The server was very nice. She asked us often whether we needed anything. Good work, server! Drinks: Came out in a timely fashion. Mostly beers were ordered. In pitcher form. Food: N/A Karaōke: We came on a karaōke night, which was good and bad. Good because we got to see some of our party sing, which was entertaining. Bad because we got to hear some folks from other parties«sing»… it is amateur singing, after all, so I should be nice.(But, like, if you know you’re tone-deaf, why would you do that to the rest of us??? Why?) Verdict: Not too bad an experience overall. It is a place where you can drink and hang with friends. Small men’s room. If you are there for karaōke night, take the good with the bad.

Courtside is a staple for me on Monday nights(25cent wings). For a dive bar the wings are tasty especially the kick-** Buffalo wings. I would stick with the bottled beer as every draft I’ve had has not been cold. They are known for their karaōke but have some decent deals during the week on food. And who doesn’t like to eat some cheap wings and play Keno

How does one begin to rate this place? I mean it’s AMAZING because 1) Mark the Shark 2) conga line 3) karaōke 4) clientele of all… ages 5) bingo-style tables with seasonable plastic tablecloths(I went in summer = red, white & blue) But I mean, at the end of the day, it’s trashy. But if that’s what you’re into, which I of course am from time to time, then this is the place to go. Staff is friendly & drinks are cheap, so who can really complain?

If you’re a fan of divey places, you’ll love Courtside. They don’t have the biggest selection of beers on tap and the food is heavy and greasy, but free pizza on Monday during football and 25 cent wings wins me over every time! It’s a good mix of townies, locals, sports fans, and rec league teams(Courtside is the sponsor bar for a lot of them), so there’s always an interesting crowd. This place isn’t for everyone, but if you want to come have a cheap drink, sing karaōke, or watch a game, it’s a great spot to be. The staff is very friendly and approachable, and they’ll play whatever sports game that you request on tv– we even requested an FSU vs. Alabama game once and they were more than happy to play it for us! They also have Big Buck safari for all the fans out there, and unlike several other dives, they accept credit cards which is nice. I’m definitely going to keep coming back here… one of my favorite local places.

Oh, Courtside. You truly are the diviest of dives. You are what I both love and hate about Boston. And you’re right here in a random part of East Cambridge which happens to be close to my office! Lucky me. Everything from the gruff bouncer checking IDs outside to the duct tape-laden booths a just screams cheap and grime. And you’ll have a great time if you just keep this in mind(and keep buying those cheap pitchers of PBR). I’ve tasted the food once. Mostly sober. And I wouldn’t do it again. Pretty sure the pizza and chicken tenders had been frozen. Just stick with the dranks, son. Karaōke time! Grab a song book, write your selection and name on a slip of paper, give it to the guy by the stage, and just wait for the magic to happen. The song choices aren’t super extensive(barely any country music, lots of random British bands), but you’ll surely find just the right tune to belt out. The bar and large room can get pretty packed on Friday nights, but don’t let the large audience deter you from singing your heart out! They’re all probably just as drunk as you are anyway. If you’re lucky, people will sing along. Or start a conga line which snakes all around the bar. It’s happened.

I used to come here for karaōke once a month with my friends. Took a break, and when I came back this past spring, the usual DJ was gone. SADNESS. The replacement was awful. Long silences, wait time between songs/singers. Incompetent with the machines. SKIPPING people who had been there longer, waiting for their turn to hit the mic. I don’t know what system he was using to alternate singers, but it was awful. I have only 3 words which can redeem Courtside Karaōke: BRING. SCOTT. BACK.

It had been about ten years since my college friends and i had last shown our faces at the Courtside for karaōke. Unsurprisingly, suburban flight and the proliferation of children and home depot runs probably had a lot to do with that. But it’s nothing you can’t fix with enough peer pressure, so off we went to karaōke night. Happily enough, little about the Courtside has changed. It’s a good mix of townies, immature young(i’m still young, he protests) professionals(you take that back!), and of course, theatre types. This makes for a good mix of everything from good-natured hair metal, both ironic and sincere 80’s hits, and desperately serious torch songs. Fortunately, there are enough weirdos there that it doesn’t ever get dull for long. Get your songs in early, it fills up. The beer’s better, selection-wise than it once was, even if it’s not exactly cheap. PBR’s your best bet, ‘Gansett’s more than it seems like it should be. I dared not try the food, but others said it okay. But you’re here for karaōke, in all likelihood, and it’s still far and away my favorite for that.

Well, I know it’s not a popular opinion, but at least as far as watching a football game goes, I’m a fan of sitting Courtside. One thing I’ve never really been is an out-of-market fan. I’m a son of the Commonwealth, born and raised. So my love of the Patriots is undiluted and unchanging. I have quite a few friends, however, whose transplanted citizenship did not dissuade them from following their teams, and I’ve always felt a little bad for them. You gotta go find an NFL Sunday Ticket, or shell out the dough for it yourself. At the courtside, two large groups meet here to cheer on their teams — the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears, and while I have no love for Ndamiken Suh, I respect the dedication these fans have to their team. It was nice to have a few pints on an October sunday and hear the cheers and boos of a group really into their football. The guys behind the bar are as nice as you could ask for, serving both the bar patrons and the folks at the tables. The wings are HUGE, and while everything is of bar quality, what more do you want with your PBRs and Jameson? I enjoyed myself and wouldn’t mind a game or two more this season at Courtside.

This is the closest bar to my apartment, and I do everything I can to avoid coming here. The best thing Courtside has going for it is NFL Sunday Ticket and they very kindly orchestrate the TVs for out-of-market fans there to ensure each group is able to watch their game of choice. They also offer free wi-fi, frequently used by the fantasy football obsessed on Sundays. That’s where my positives end. The tap lines are dirty, mixed drinks weak, vinyl tablecloths sticky. Karaōke is the main attraction, but good luck getting a chance to sing unless you’re well known to the karaōke MC — otherwise you’re more likely to spend 3 hours drinking crappy beer waiting for your turn that never comes. The food is truly abysmal, even with the lowest of expectations. Don’t slap a single microwaved slice of American cheese over some stale chips and call it nachos. It’s just offensive. I love a good neighborhood dive bar, but Courtside is all dive, no good.

This place is The BEST. Karaōke(Thurs — Sun only I think) in what looks like your uncle’s living room, SUPER cheap drinks, big buck hunter, friendly townies… I always have a blast whenever I come here. Warning: you will probably not have said blast unless you get completely, totally, inebriated. And then go to the Kong after.

Well… this is definitely a dive bar. My friends dropped me off on their way to another bar, and basically looked at me like they were dropping me off in the middle of Camden, New Jersey. They pretty much dropped me off and peeled off, leaving behind the smell of burning tires and the«Good luck not getting shot» sentiment. Ok, it doesn’t look like the classiest place on the outside. Or inside, really. But it’s one of those places you bring your friends when there are just too many to fit into any other venu. It’s old-school karaōke at its best, complete with plastic table covers and a doorman who’s super-friendly and also reminds me of my grandfather. Everyone who comes here for karaōke is nothing less than crazy enthusiastic, so you have definitely come here to to get(and give!) a good show. As long as you have a big, fun group with you, this place isn’t bad for a casual karaōke night out. Just don’t wear your nice shoes. Lest they come out with 15 types of beer on the bottom:)
