The quality of the pizza varied greatly just like the hours when they’re open. I live close by and rarely see anyone sitting there. The first pizza I ordered 6 mos ago was very good. The last 2 haven’t been that good.

I ordered a ton of pizzas from Kendall House of Pizza for a big event we did last week and they were fantastic! They came right on time, the staff was super nice and the price was great too. Most importantly though the pizza was great! So thank you Kendall House of Pizza!

Rude and arrogant people work here. I stopped in today and have never been so disrespected, I didn’t even bother to get food.

We order here for lunch 1 – 2 times per week, sometimes more. The staff essentially knows us. We order the Greek salads usually but generally everything else that we order is pretty good. Their subs are large and packed full so you get the feeling that you’re getting what you payed for. Specifically I’ve ordered the Italian sub and it was excellent. Other people in my office order the steak and cheese sandwich and it also very tasty. This is all not to mention their pizza which is also great! Generally, I’d have a hard time telling people what’s not good here. Quality place.

I had a salad with chicken here last week and ended up with very bad food poisoning 18 hours later(I shared all my other meals with someone so I narrowed it down to this salad). I’m still sick 4 days later. Poor food handling and undercooked meat is not a joke! I hope Kendall House of Pizza is more careful in the future.

I go here for lunch frequently and I’m never disappointed. Their slices & gyros are great lunch options, but I usually get a sub. My favorites are Italian, Sausage, Ham & Cheese, and Chicken parm. They don’t skimp on sizing either, you get good value for what you are paying.

We get delivery from KHOP every now and then. The pizza is surprisingly good. The wings are good too but they are tiny sized. If you want real wings, go a few blocks over to Beauty’s Pizza. Their wings are much larger sized and are more satisfying. Today I got the large box of wings and a large fish sub. The wings are small and about ten come in a box. The fish sub is good but the amount of fish you get is about half of what I’d like. My entire team got fish subs and others commented on the same lack of fish. Too much bread and toppings and too little fish. Tasty though. Another thing about KHOP is that this is a small family run business. We’ve ordered catering from them and they were very nice and worked with us on the package and pricing. This was when I discovered their pizza. I normally only get subs and wings. Check out the pictures from today.

first and foremost i have to say that i love pizza i can eat pizza everyday(but i dont) and i can be such a snob about my pizza. I will try pizza from anywhere. Now… the men who work at kendall house are very nice and will accomadate whatever you would like in your order. The Pizza here is meh… it has potential, it could be better. The crust is a think crust which should be crusty outside soft on the inside not HARD. Thier crust is more hard but still edible if you like eating crust like that. The cheese and sauce are good and they are good cheese to sauce ratio but im not such a fan u can find better pizza. NOW thier chicken kabob plate is delicious!!! chicken is moist. and they serve it with pita, salad, rice and dressing. The salads are fresh and their dressing is yummy! i havnt tried other things so i cant say for sure cuz they do have food in the hot metal things sitting out so i cant say how good those foods are…

Gyro was very, very tasty! The bread was soft and had a nice flavor. And even though the lamb was reheated it was still fresh tasting. Loads of tzatziki sauce I had to lick it off my fingers in the office. Not a place for dining in unless you don’t mind paper plates, cheap napkins and construction workers. Staff very friendly, knew most of the patrons so there was a nice banter. Not the usual«what did you want again?» I’d go back. One of my co-workers even inquired after viewing my gyro it smelled so good.

Kendall House of Pizza feels like a slice of childhood for this Boston-bred eater. I’ve only ever eaten the subs here, and they are fine. Nothing fancy, just straight-up meat and veg on a sub roll. They’ll toast it for you if you want. I come here when I want a straightforward and slightly nostalgic lunch, having grown up with just this sort of no-bullshit sandwich. This is an old-school neighborhood pizza shop, and is decorated accordingly. I like having lunch on a schoolroom chair surrounded by wood paneling and construction workers on break, local news droning on the tv in the corner. Finally, the people here are really nice.

Steak and cheese was divine as far as good, greasy grub goes. This is not a five based on gourmet dining, this is a five based on exactly what I wanted at the time. A bit greasy, very cheesy, very good shaved steak. Also, service was solid. Guys had a good sense of humor.

I had a steak and cheese from here once. The meat was plentiful but overcooked and dry; eating it was a chore. Needless to say, I haven’t had another. The gyros here are pretty decent, but then again, it’s not rocket science to not mess up heating frozen gyro meat slices. Sometimes, they have this wonderful homemade baklava on hand. It’s delicious! Too bad it hasn’t been available the past few times I’ve come here. tl;dr: Great baklava! Okay gyros. Dry steak and cheese.

Ordered my favorite pepper and onion pizza tonight. Upon pick-up, all unfamiliar faces behind the counter should have been a tip-off. Went to dig in to my favorite pie from Kendall House and it was unrecognizable. Sauteed peppers and onions applied as toppings. Soft texture, strange flavor, unpleasant looking and tasting. OK with grilled tips — NOT on pizza. The old Kendall House used fresh peppers and Vidalia onions, sliced thin, crisp, with a little sear from the hot oven, peppers and onions with a bright fresh flavor and crunchiness. I’m throwing this pizza out and wont’ be going back. Can’t speak for other menu items, but clearly the new owners f-d up one really simple, but very decent, pie.

Chicken Gyro is great as is the Steak and Cheese, Hamburger Sub, Chicken Cutlet and Fish Sub. So far, that’s all I have tried but they are pretty nice folks and I kinda dig most Greek places like this. Give it a shot!

The pizza here is actually quite serviceable. That isn’t meant as faint praise, either. Its decent and certainly at the high end of what one would expect from a dive-y sub shop. The real selling point is, well, the selling point. Prices are something out of 10 years ago. Even crummy sub shops will try to sell you a slice for $ 3 these days. Here you can get two and a can of soda for about $ 4.25. Service may be gruff, but never rude. They once gave me an extra slice because the pie was cut with a couple slices a little uneven. I hardly would have noticed, but their proactive fix left me very happy. The slices are small, but for the price, still a bargain. I’ve come here quite a lot and I’ve never left unhappy. It may not offer much, but that’s actually a pretty decent track record and a heck of a lot better than any other lunch spot I’ve gone to in Kendall or Cambridgeside.

As with most sub shops in the Kendall area, I hold this restaurant to the ABP standard, i.e., is the sandwich I get going to be worth more than the $ 8 soup and«half» sandwich I get at ABP. Check! Good-sized sandwiches packed with meat makes the 5 minute walk from Kendall worth it on those days where not everyone wants Thai, BBQ, or Mexican, but will settle for some good sandwiches. Plus I like the cash register banter. Come equipped with cash or debit card just in case — no credit card for orders under $ 15.

I eat at this place around once a week for lunch. It is one of my favorite lunch spots in the east Cambridge area. It isn’t a classy place, but the pizza and sandwiches are good and the prices are very reasonable. I love that the chicken cutlet is actually made from real chicken that they cook on the grill, not patties from a box. Would definitely recommend. Also this place is open late and on the weekends unlike most of the places around this area so they are great if you need a snack outside of business hours.

Well, I’ve ate at Kendalls twice and both times I got the grilled chicken salad. What a mistake! I figured maybe the first time was just a bad day for them but it happened the second time. The chicken was half cooked and watery. Grosssssss! Its seemed like I was eating the chicken while it was still alive. In fact it might have been. I think it laid an egg. But seriously, my friend got it too and also wouldn’t try it again. Maybe the other food is good but just stay away from the chicken. It will mess you up.

This is the best pizza in Kendall Sq, but that might not be saying much as the locals(mainly Kendall Sq ofifce workers: think computer and biotech geeks) aren’t known for their discerning taste. The salads, on the other hand, are highly variable. Catch them close to a delivery and they’re fresh and crisp — a few days later and they’ll still try to sell you something soggy and limp. The sandwiches are top notch — but if you’re going to eat a wad of dough with meat and cheese on it, just go ahead and get the pizza. Like I said, it the best pizza in Kendall Sq.
