Forget the food items. Their salsa is WAY good. I’m a bit of a salsa snob and I have no hestitation that the Gringo’s is the best. Originally bought at farmers markets, now I go straight to their retail outlet. You won’t be disappointed.

These are what I call«white people» tamales. They were mediocre at best. I was not impressed at all. The people that posted reviews on here saying they were amazing probably have not tried real tamales.(Figures it’s Cameron Park) They were very small and lacked flavor. The outside texture was cold and hard. They almost reminded me of the store bought ones at Costco.(actually better IMO) I can’t speak for the salsa as I didn’t try it. If you want real tamales/Mexican food try taqueria tapa in Cameron park.

As I read through the reviews of Crazy Gringo I must agree with most everyone. The salsa is phenomenal, but he tamales are a disappointment. Who puts sugar in their tamales?! I was told, by an employee, that their tamales are made the«south west chili» way… hmmm… doesn’t that say, «American made»? There is no tradition«Mexican made» about these tamales what-so-ever. I agree that the price for tamales is way to high. Had to throw away ½ of my order because no one would eat them. Me thinks Gary needs to rethink his tamale recipe.

I LOVE their salsa. Even more so than my own. There is a place in Southern California called La Cocina(Santa Clarita) who’s salsa is hands-down the best However, this salsa is a fierce competition. Thank you Crazy Gringo. I LOVE your Salsa. I attend both Old Town and Dewitt Farmer’s Markets.

I tried the habanero salsa and tamales. The salsa was delicious! I would definitely go back again for that. The tamales were good too, but a bit small and on the pricey side — 2 tamales for $ 5! I wouldn’t pay that much again but glad I tried it.

I love salsa, and The Crazy Gringo’s Taco Wagon Salsa, also known as the Original Salsa or OG, is quite possibly the best salsa I’ve ever purchased, anywhere. I head to the farmers market at the Whole Foods in Roseville every other week just to grab some because the day I go to my fridge and it’s not there is a sad, sad day.

No stars… sorry. Not even close to making good tamales. I threw them away. I had to put one star because this survey will not allow no stars. Go to the bel air shopping center in cameron park… the little mexican restaurant… so much better.

I hope I’m not coming off too harsh really people of Cameron Park is this the best salsa or tamales you ever had? They are very kind couple but the lady could even pronounce cilantro or habanero really? And charging two for $ 5 tamales is insane. Head down 50 enter Sacramento I need to get 12 for 10 bucks. Maybe this is a reflection of what people in Cameron Park like. I mean this is an area that you could see Applebees packed at any given time. I love supporting local businesses but I do not see myself coming back.

Discovered them at my local farmers market, and sigh — I’m in love! Habanero Salsa is to die for! So hard to find a good spicy salsa, but they nailed it! Other salsas are good too, but being that I can take the heat, Habanero is my favorite!

Just purchased today… Wow! The tamales are the best I’ve ever had and the salsa is amazing. I can’t wait to go back to the farmer’s market next week.

These guys come out to all of my local farmers’ markets, but today I finally gave them a try, and boy am I glad I did. I tried a sample of their basic recipe salsa, which was fabulous. I am not one who really does chips and salsa, I usually use it strictly for cooking. This salsa changed my mind. I didn’t purchase that today, however, although I will next time. Today I bought 2 of the black bean, rice, and corn tamales. I just ate one, and now I am here crying into my beer that I only have 1 left. Definitely worth 2 for $ 5. As I savored my tamale, I furiously searched the web for ideas to recreate the recipe in my own kitchen… but making tamales is a pain in the rear, so if I have a flavor for them, I’ll just pick up a bunch from the Crazy Gringo.

Walking through the Farmers Market and found this stand. Hubby and I tried a sample and you could taste the fresh vegetables, habaneros, tomatoes, onion, cilantro and, garlic. Great price, only four dollars. So happy that we stopped by his stand today.

We absolutely love this salsa. Spicy, tangy and lots of cilantro. We ran out of chips so I got out a spoon… went to the Farmers Market to get more and they were sold out! I was so sad. Get there early and get some salsa

I catch Crazy Gringo Taco Wagon around at different farmers markets. But, they sell tamales and salsa so– where’s the tacos on this taco wagon? They offer free samples of their salsa and tamales go for 2 for $ 5. and they go quick because a lot of times I roll up and they tell me they have this and that left when they usually offer four different tamales– chicken, pork, beef, or cheese.(All good).

Oh my gosh. The salsa is SOGOOD!!! We buy several tubs at a time and freeze them. Once you try it, you can’t ever have anything else. I don’t know how he does it, but MAN it’s good stuff!

Some friends brought over two tubs of this salsa on New Year’s Eve and we polished both off by mid-day on January 1! Since then I’ve been hooked and keep going back for more! Gary is super nice and accomodating. He has met me in El Dorado Hills to sell me salsa, since we are not close to Roseville or Rocklin where he attends the year-round farmers’ markets. The salsa is $ 6 a tub or 2 for $ 10. He also sold us fresh tamales which were delicious! Those are 2 for $ 5. We will never buy another salsa than this again. Once you try this you can never go back! It is so fresh and delicious. Very fine, not chunky, and plenty of cilantro and spice! Not watery or runny. DEE-LISH! WARNING: it is extremely addicting; difficult to stop once you start! Tha’s why we’ve been through 3 and a half tubs in the last 7 days! Our whole family is addicted.
