I should have realized why there was absolutely nobody in the drive thru during the lunch hour. Greasy. Slow. Got my order wrong. Expensive. I ended up throwing my food away because I got a bad stomach ache about half way through. Regretting that I stopped here. Ew ew ew!

After a nice Mother’s Day driving to Napa and returning to the foothills of El Dorado County we decided to make an end of day stop to pickup a Taco Salad to go. Upon arriving at home, we opened our food with anticipation and were so disappointed when we started eating. Long story short: There was almost NO meat in our $ 10 taco salad. The lettuce was wilted. Both the mild and the hot salsa was without any personality. A beef taco had some burnt flavor and was worse than school cafeteria food. We called the store to complain and Marley answered the phone«Hello». Zero profesionalism, terrible food and expensive for what you get.

Good food but poor customer service. My boyfriend and I came in to order food and waited for service at the counter for 10 minutes. The to go order girl acknowledged us but continued to stay on the headset and not ask anyone to help us. It was awkward, we didn’t know when someone would ever come take our order.

My hubby LOVED these tacos and can’t wait to go back for more. I’d say they were good(and a bit greasy).

Everyone loves Jimboys Tacos, but my order was completely messed up. I was little disapointed this time and the employee at the drive thru window was not friendly at all.

Great food for fast food, but is a little pricey. The bean burritos and ground beef tacos are simple, yet delicious.

Is this place even open? The last 5 times I’ve been there they are closed… with the sign stating they should be open… Weird … I think they might have closed down … FYI …

Clean updated dining area, fast service, and hot fresh food. I would give it 5 stars, but I can’t handle the depressing country music.

I have the opportunity to drive by here a few times, on my way to different locations. I have been here a few times now and looking forward to the next time. The food is what you can expect from a facility like this, so do not expect white sheets on the table, actually make sure you wipe off your tables before sitting down. I would recommend if you eat here just enjoy it for a snack, but not a full meal as there are places that are better. If you are looking for a place the is better that Taco Bell, then you are coming to the right location. As for the cost of the food is a about the same as other fast food places.

They were out of Diet Coke and limes today. AMBIANCE The dining room is spacious, clean, and well decorated. They had Steve Harvey playing on the flat screen television which was a plus, however I prefer the sounds of Mexican music in these kind of places. The tables need to be cleaned outside. During our visit they were covered with what appeared to be a thin layer of exhaust probably coming from nearby Hwy 50. **BEWARE** There is a tripping hazard just to the left of the door as you walk onto patio. FOOD My wife commented that the beef didn’t taste good and my mom said the green sauce was thicker than usual. I’ll just say my Super Burrito was what I expected. OVERALLRATING I would have given them 3 stars but they were out of Diet Coke and limes.

Salt and Fox News. That’s what’s memorable about this place. Every one of the five times we tried the place, the meat was unbearably salty, and every single time we came in, Fox News was playing. It’s not worth the money.

This is a great Jimboys. Just today I ordered their daily special and their credit card system was down. I only had $ 1 in cash on me, and they gave me the food for that price since I had waited. It was cool to see such good customer service. I will definitely be going back.

The first time I saw Jimboys tacos restaurant was when I was in Reno. I had a taco craving at the time and since I was right by it thought«what the hell» I’ll give it a try. I’m glad I did! I had an original steak taco. It was sooo good. They fry a corn tortilla then cover it with Parmesan cheese! Fresh chopped steak, shredded lettuce, diced tomato fill the taco shell. Oh so delicious! The tortilla shell really takes it to another level of flavor town! The hot crisp tortilla with semi melted Parmesan cheese coating the outside and fresh grilled steak was heavenly. The shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes gave it a cool refreshing finish to the taco. I washed it down with an ice cold Horchata! It’s a chain restaurant, like Taco Bell. Just so much better! I wish there was one here in the Bay Area.

Jimboys is a local favorite with a cult following and I’m proud to say that I’m a part of it! If I were a millionaire, I’d franchise this place and move them down to SoCal; they’re that good. —-The Food — - Beef Taco($ 1.75) — This fast food establishment’s claim to fame is due to these bad boys. Imagine Jack-in-the-Box tacos, but double the size! Jimboys uses fresh ingredients too, so expect a lot of fresh cut lettuce, cheese, and REAL thick grounded beef – none of that mushy stuff you’d find at Jack-in-the-Box. Furthermore, what makes these tacos dear to my heart is how they fry it AND sprinkle an extensive amount of parmesan cheese on the outside. It enhances the taste two-fold! Simply addicting. Bean & Cheese Burrito($ 1.50) — When I’m craving for a bean and cheese burrito, I just go to Taco Bell or Del Taco, but man, Jimboy’s makes it so much better. These burritos weigh about a pound, filled with slow cooked beans, fresh cheese and special zesty sauce. They also press their burritos, giving it a crunchy texture on the outside. —– Verdict: Don’t be deceived by their Indiana Jones-Temple-of-Doom type building– this fast food spot serves some good, fatty Americanized Mexican Food that is definitely worth the calories. They have a terrific salsa bar too. Make sure to come to this place if you’re ever on your way to Lake Tahoe. I’ll be back to try their other stuff… looking forward to the burger taco! Extra Notes: –Accepts Credit Card –Funny building that resembles the Indiana Jones Ride at Disneyland and furniture inside doesn’t match that… –Service is what you’d expect at a fast-food joint –One TV inside –Ample Parking –Clean Restrooms

I tried the«infamous» ground beef tacos for the first time tonight out of curiousity — a six pack for 10 bucks. I’m not sure what people see in these things — I felt like I was eating a mouthful of salt with each bite. If you want fried tacos, you’re better off getting the 2 for 99 cent tacos at Jack in the Box.

I wish Jimboy’s was named Julia’s. That way when I make out with one of these delicious tacos it would seem less pervy! Bottom line is this, I don’t give a fu@k what anyone thinks. These tacos rock and my mouth makes sweet love to them every time I indulge. YES, they are that friggin good! There ground beef is the cow’s version of bacon!

I know, I know, not for the Mexican food purist. Fast food Mexican — and not too shabby. I had a cheese enchilada and a cheese quesadilla while the Mr. had 6 tacos! Mine was great and totally hit the spot(we’d hiked all day and subsisted on snacks). I was very surprised how good it was, and what’s more one of my items came with a huge side of guac and chips, which was pretty damn good — better guac than I’ve gotten at so many«authentic» Mexican sit-down places. Also, great service at the counter.

We went to this specific Jimboys as part of our multi-stop food run on the way home after a Tahoe trip.(Murder-burgers, Woodstock pizza, and Jimboys tacos, and I think we had sushi after). I was told of their delicious tacos: «If you like Jack in the Box’s tacos you’ll love Jimboys». No kidding. Jimboys tacos have that nice crunch like Jack in the box’s tacos but sprinkled with crack(though the crack is really delicious parmesan)! Their taste however stands alone. The dining area of this specific Jimboy’s is actually pretty nice considering it’s a fast-food joint. The churros were pretty good too. I’d definitely come back soon.
