We have been to Wally’s several times now, and enjoy the food. Usually the service is pretty good whether we have 2 people, or up to 8 in our group. This last time though left a lot to be desired. We encouraged friends from quite a distance to meet up with us, and my husband and I went early in order to enjoy a drink and appetizers during happy hour. Upon entering, we let the waiter(Austin) know that we had a group of 6 for dinner, but that we wanted to head to the bar first.(we wouldn’t mind waiting for a table when our friends arrived.) He encouraged us to get a table instead(we had 30 minutes until our friends arrived). He gave us a booth and we asked about happy hour specials. He stated that was only in the bar. We told him we would wait and go to the bar. No, no, he said we could not go to the bar since we had a table… REALLY? We didn’t want a table yet, that was his doing. So we asked him to reserve the table for us as 2 other tables were reserved nearby. NOPE, he can’t do that… So we stayed, and my husband went to the bar to order a drink and bring it back. This waiter followed him and told the bartender not to serve him! At that point our friends showed up, and the bartender ignored them all. 15 minutes later, as they headed back to our table, another waiter came over and asked if we’d like to sit on the patio, where we could get happy hour.(Would have been nice to have this option in the beginning since we mentioned it to the waiter from the get go.) So all six of us moved outside. The hostess brings out our menus again, and informs us that happy hour ends in 9 minutes, so she will send out the server. hmmm, 7MINUTES later, the server shows up and when we order appetizers and drinks from the happy hour menu, she states there’s only a couple of minutes left! WE came early for this reason!!! She says she will get it in quickly. wow. We are embarrassed to have brought our friends here. We ordered the Rubicon and Margarita pizzas. Nobody liked the margarita pizza, the Rubicon was great. Won’t be bringing anyone else in the future. We’ll see if my husband and I go back or not. Hopefully this was just this waiter, and not a policy problem.

Wally’s is fantastic. I frequent this place for lunch and dinner, and it never gets old. Best pizza in El Dorado County, IMHO. The pasta is delicious too. Great beer selection. ‘Nuff said.

Loved the atmosphere, location, service and the food at Wally’s. It was a perfect place to see a game. The Wally’s salad was tossed with fresh greens and the dressings tasted homemade. The teriyaki wings were bone in also tasty. Pizza was good. The beer was flowing. TVs on almost every side covered everything from football to tennis. The servers were on their game, on top of it all while still giving you space to have conversations. The restaurant is close to the freeway making it a good place to stop off. Plus prices were reasonable. We will be back.

This is a great spot! Great food and friendly folks… and drinks, amazing drinks. This is a short list of things that makes this restaurant and bar awesome: 1) The bartenders are great, knowledgeable, friendly and quick. 2) Tonic water made in-house, I’ve never had a vodka tonic that tasted so resplendent. 3) Damm Fine Pizza! 4) An Excellent selection of craft beers. 5) Conveniently located right off of highway 50 for trip to or from Tahoe. 6) Excellent pastas. 7) A well stocked full liquor bar. 8) It is near my work!(this probably doesn’t help you)

Just had pizza and garlic cheese bread from this place. Let me tell you it was amazing. If there is anything that you should get from this place it would be the classic marinara pizza and the garlic cheese bread. It was a valentines dinner treat from my boyfriend after a long day of snowboarding at Sierra at Tahoe.

I wasn’t expecting much when I met friends at this convenient location off HWY50. It seemed like some type of Buffalo Wild Wings or some other chain. But it’s actually an incredibly tasty pizza and salad joint. Yes, I hit up those free with check in Parmesan Fries and they were quite tasty. Across the table of 6, we ordered four different kinds of salads to start and mine just knocked me straight off my chair. It wasn’t a soggy lettuce, crappy toppings drowned in ranch dressing kind of salad. It was a salad one would get an a restaurant without«pizza» in its name. Followed that up with a couple pizzas that were creative, flat crusted and perfectly heated. For dessert, one chocolate brownie and ice cream is enough for 6 people, but we got two just to be sure. No regrets, it was delish. Special thanks to the staff for seeming so patient with my kid and other tables of little brats. It seems like a great place to take the whole family. Beer and great dishes for the parents and a laid back, patient staff or the kids.

Watched superbowl here and had a blast! So many TVs, great food, and great drinks. The chicken wings were perfect fried, skin was crispy and flavor was fully there. Overall, wonderful place to catch a game and grab a drink.

So, how much does flavor cost because I’ll pay for that? I paid over $ 52 for 2 pepperoni pizzas that looked and tasted terrible. It had all the flavor of Chuckie Cheese sans the giant mouse for entertainment. Save your money

First off, for a pizza bar, their prices are pretty expensive. $ 7 for 6 mozzarella sticks that were pretty much raw in the the center… I don’t think so. We also ordered the Pear & Gorgonzola personal pizza and added chicken. Pretty pricey @ $ 16 for four slices, although it was tasty. For dessert we had the brownie. It was actually a joke how thin it was. It looked like they had rolled it with a rolling pin before plating it. I don’t mind paying higher prices for good food but this is a pizza bar and they either need to up the food or lower the prices. With that said, our server was attentive and friendly.

We had a half Hawaiian, half Basecamp pizza. They both were very good. Atmosphere was a little loud but overall it was a great place. Will definitely come back. Love that they give you your drink in a mason jar!

Amazing atmosphere, extremely clean, modern and upbeat, and then there’s the food, OMG!!! The pizza is amazing! I like the Basecamp, and rubicon, and pepperoni. Upon entry on my first visit, I was blown away to see how nice and modern the décor was. Clean spacious, open, inviting, and pleasing to the eyes and ears. Half of the area is designated for the bar/dining bar, and the other half comfy tables and chairs outlined by well spaced soft seated booths. And get ready for this, each booth is outfitted with its own outlet with USB plugin. Ok sport fans, there are more tv’s on the walls than you’ll find in on ESPN sportscast. I believe I counted 15. The sound is controlled and zoned as to not overwhelm you. There is a generous portion of wifi bandwidth served up for public use, so bring in your smartphone, iPad, and/or laptop so you can connect and charge while you dine. The covered outdoor patio with heated ceilings and side entry offers additional tv’s, bar and table service, and is dog friendly. Definitely comfy for all seasons. You’ll be pleased to know that this place has the design and quality in both facility and in menu of a seasoned franchise, but is actually family owned and operated. The bar is great! Modern design very comfy, and the staff are extremely friendly and detail oriented. Some times when I come here, I know exactly what I want, and it’s shaken and/or stirred exactly the way I like it. Other times when I’m not sure, I rely on the friendly staff and am never let down. I honestly don’t know if they’re called mixologists, or bartenders, but I’m always greeted with a smile, have a drink in my hand within a couple minutes, and very rarely see and empty bottom to my glass before the next round is offered and/or served. The Restaraunt side is just as fun, but family oriented offering table and booth service catering to all group sizes. I’ve booked multiple parties here and have been provided a variety of seating options including private booth sittings in their VIP Area. Last not least by a long shot is the food. The servers are prompt to take your order and always offer me a variety of options to my order. Since I frequent this place, I’m known to like the rootbeer, and it feels good that the staff remember my name and are quick to quench my thirst. This is definitely not just a pizza place. I was blown away how much of the menu they cook from scratch. Homemade soup, changing it up every couple of days. I love the broccoli cheddar. The salads are huge portions and gourmet quality. The Greek salad has delicious fresh olives, feta, and is so filling, but my wife and I choose the pear and walnut as our favorite. I have been coming here for almost a year now, and was blown away to find out just the other day that they actually caramelize the walnuts in-house. There are many healthy selections including a hummus feta and olive dip, and some delicious flame roasted buffalo wings. Oh yeah, the pizza. If you are old school like I, and like the good old American pepperoni pizza, it’s the best I’ve ever had. Covered in pepperoni, it’s huge value for quality. Don’t forget to ask them to double cut the slices for you. I enjoy it better this way. There are three other pizzas I regularly order and recommend. The Basecamp has pepperoni and sausage with a variety of veggies. It’s both sweet and savory. The Rubicon is your meat lovers pizza with bacon and ham to top it off. If your a little more exotic, try the Thai Chicken Curry. It’s both sweet and spicy, but just a little, and will not disappoint. Order gluten free if you wish. I’ve never had a better gluten free crust. As you can tell I could go on forever. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, but for me, the items I’ve listed above are what make this a weekly choice for my family and I. Don’t forget the deserts, they all satisfy. :-) Bön Appétit!

Wally’s is ok. The dining area is incredibly noisy, but it’s a sports bar. We got garlic fries and they were delicious! The pizza is yummy, but it’s tastes incredibly similar to Round Table. My main complaint is the drinks — they were so watery! I don’t mind shelling out for an interesting cocktail, but when my drink tastes more like water than mixer or liquor, I feel ripped off. Go for fries and beer to watch a game, but skip the pizza and cocktails. There’s better to be had in our area!

Food is solid. Pizza is always tastey and consistent. Good selection of beers. Wings are average at best(especially considering the price of them). We sit at the bar about half the time where the service is always great. Sitting at the tables though… pretty slow, often mistakes on the bill. We have been a dozen times or more and will continue to patronage this local spot. My only wish is for better table service and a burger on the menu.

1) rubicon pizza: I’m a meatatarian and this may be my all time favorite. The only problem is that no matter how much you order, there’s never enough for leftovers. 2) if you go to the bar, see Miss Kayla. She is hands down THEBEST.

This is my first time at this place. We came for trivia Wednesday. This is a sports bar type style pizza. The staff here have awesome personality and very energetic. They are very attentive and check are you frequently during your meal to make sure you have everything you need. They have amazing brewed iced tea. Probably the best I’ve had at a restaurant I recommend: The house salad, garlic cheese bread and hummus, feta, and olives Amazinggggggggg
