If you’re looking for just a regular ol bottle of wine, then you could visit just about any wine shop in Syracuse. If you are looking for an experience then The Savvy Wine Cellar is your spot. The store is beautifully designed with aisles of wine bottles to the right and a cash register to the left. This allows for a straight path to the back of the store where a bar stands waiting for wine enthusiasts to try out the latest & greatest. Aisles are filled with a great selection of wines(red/whites, sweet/dry, domestic/foreign) at reasonable prices. And each week you can expect to find a few bottles featured & on sale. The owners and staff are super friendly and totally know their stuff. I highly recommend this shop for all your wine-o needs.

I can not say enough about this place! The owners are very friendly and EVERY bottle they have suggested based on the description of what I like has not disappointed! I agree with another review-they are not steering you toward their priciest bottles versus what you would like. Good selection with a good price range. I have to say the tastings are a great bonus! They even provide wonderful tasting notes for all of their bottles.

Love this place. The owners and staff are extremely friendly, helpful and remember you/treat you like an old friend on subsequent visits. The selection is unique but also expansive in terms of having something for everyone’s taste. When they didn’t carry a wine that a customer raved about, they went out of their way to order a case, and then began to offer it for sale. I love that it feels like you’re important and a person, and not just some customer to get in and out of the store. I also think the free tastings(5 wines, a selection of white and red, changes weekly, done a couple of times a week) are awesome, whether you are new to wine and want to learn about it, or whether you simply want to try something new. It’s great to be able to go in an try something new without having to commit to the whole bottle in case it’s not for you.

Locally owned and operated wine specialty store. When you walk in it is clear that the owners have a lot invested both personally and financially in their business. They are very knowledgeable about their selection and made two outstanding recommendations to me. They clearly understand the flavor profiles and characteristics that will appeal to you once you have discussed it They do not steer you toward the high end product but ask what you would like to spend. It is great to support small local businesses like this. They love what they do, are very knowledgeable and friendly, and pleasant. 12% discount on Tuesdays

I came here with my parents and a family friend on a Thursday night, which is when Savvy holds their wine tastings, from 5pm-8pm. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable! We arrived close to the end of the tasting, so we only sampled a few wines. I LOVE the interior! It is very trendy/industrial looking. Their front window also consists of all corks which people have«dumped» into the display, so it looks really neat upon entry! Their wine selection is great, and the prices were reasonable. The area can really benefit from having Savvy new to the neighborhood. It is a fun night out! Upon recommendation, two friends went to Savvy the following week and really enjoyed their time at the tasting. Cheers!
