This place is my favorite place to go in the area. It has a good warm and cozy feeling and I love everything I have tried on the menu. They have such a great variety of food on the menu. The service is always great too. O yea, and lots of beer choices! This is our go to place!

Must try their German beers on tap! Make sure to bring your own quarters if you play pool. Lastly great food!

We just moved to this area and thought we would give the Forester Pub & Grill a try and we are so glad we did. It was a beautiful late summer day and we ate on the upper patio. I ordered the veggie burger and it was one of the best(maybe the best) veggie burger I ever ate. We will definitely go again… love the location and the building…

The Forester Pub and Grill. Stopped in after a long exploration of the are, and am pleased I did so; Friendly server informed me of the locally brewed beer being served to accompany my delicious buffalo burger, and again, I was pleased. The Venison chili was a bit too gamy for my tastes but it’s fair game!.. overall a good experience.

The food as overcooked, tasteless and expensive. the«chicken strips» are seriously just a pounded flat piece of chicken, cheaply breaded and fried, and then sliced into thin pieces. For $ 7. Also got the fish and chips which was kind of rubbery and tasteless and even the tartar sauce wasn’t good. The fries had no flavor. The kid’s hamburger and fries was ok. It was kind of burnt tasting. My husband and I left with sick stomachs and down $ 32 bucks. Complete waste of money. I would never come here again.

Great local pub. Atmosphere is rustic and service is quick and pleasant. Fish and chips were not very fresh but the fried Zucchini appetizer was AMAZING and redeemed the fish. I have eaten here a few times and it’s always been pretty good. I think it may have been an off night for the chef in regards to the fish. I had it last time and it was actually really good! I definitely recommend stopping by when your in the Apple Hill area.

This place has a nice feel, but it is very dark inside. I wish it had more lighting. I got the calamari and it was very bland. The vegetables were overlooked, but the mashed potatoes were good. My dad got the goulash and absolutely loved it. My mother in law got the cordon bleu and said it was great! The chicken and dumplings were pretty bland. Very big servings, but mediocre food.

The biggest reason I love this place is the«Cheer’s» feeling they have going here. The things I’ve eaten here are pretty decent. The beef strognoff is pretty damn good. I’m NOT a mushrooms fan, but I turn a blind eye to them when I eat this meal. This visit I had a bacon cheeseburger(because it’s National Cheeseburger Day today), and I really enjoy it coming out ½ assembled, cause I’m the worst customizer for food, and this way I’m not disappointed. I felt it was missing something until I realized ‘I’ forgot the Ketchup. Over all darn enjoyable burger. My daughter got the kids grilled cheese and it was really good. For an appetizer, we got«chicken strips», and I forgot theu deep fry a flattened chicken breast and slice ot into ‘strips’. Needed some salt(shocking actually), but not bad at all. All in all, a really enjoyable place to hang out.

This place is very good, open till I think 8:00 or 9:00 pm. which is great for us cause we are always getting home later then expected, so we eat there, food is good and there service is very good normally as well! They used to be st. Pali’s but they closes down… so then I found out the same owners came down to camino and opened up the forester, which is very good, and they still serve there German food and also American food like burgers and stuff… I say there great!

This place is fantastic! Food was top notch authentic homemade German cuisine. Friendly staff, owner was very nice and down to earth. Large portions and definitely left satisfied. My husband had the homemade Goulash, red cabbage & homemade German noodle Spaetzel. The homemade clam chowder was yummy too. This place is a must if you are in the mood for authentic German cuisine and have a healthy appetite! We’ll definitely be back.

Ok… This place is great! Only reason I give 4 stars is because I never get enough fries… always have to order extra. Other than that, everything and everyone is outstanding. This is our«go to» Friday night spot because we live about 5 min away. If we lived 15 – 20 min away, I would still make the drive! I love this place!

Was English Pub, then blended into German Pub after St. Pauli’s closed in Kyburtz. Smack dab in the middle of Apple Hill. Great stroganoff, my favorite meal by far. Nice little dining room, and outside eating area, good service. Local beers, a little bar to sit at and watch the game; Even has a separate section with a pool table, and a couple video games… but very quite to eat at. Locals eat there, so that means something… or they wouldn’t still be open.

We have been here a few times and have only had the buffalo burgers. But they’re always delicious. Service is friendly and beer is cold!

Love to come here when visiting family. We like the schnitzel especially but everything else we have tried has been good too. The on tap beer assortment is good.. we love the german selection as well as others. Cider too! Warm cozy local atmosphere, everyone fits in and feels welcome. Try the deck in the summertime.

Cute place. Fun sitting on the deck. But beware, any ‘sauce’ based dish(and we ordered three) was way too salty. Can’t remember the last time I left a restaurant with my mouth buzzing from salt overload. Medical Alert: if you have high blood pressure … bring your meds… haha ugh

Not impressed. Some Wedges of iceberg, half a tomato and two slices of a beet are not worth $ 4 for a side salad. Waitress didn’t take our order for 15 minutes and then forgot to ask how i wanted my burger done(I didn’t mind this until I overheard her asking another customer) and then messed up my order completely. I’m all for the mom and pop places, but they need some work. Our food was okay otherwise but I wouldn’t come back.

Holy cow, this place has amazing German food. I will say, you can tell it’s a very small, locals place so the service is a bit…“interesting” for lack of a better word. Britney was great the first night I was there – very friendly and on top of things. Strangely enough, the owners were the ones who, when serving or bartending, were a bit«laid-back» so to speak. They sat at the bar and drank sodas, beer or wine and read the newspaper. That’s OK if all your patrons are locals and they know you, but it was a bit off-putting to my husband and me – we felt like we were inconveniencing them. We were staying with my 82 year-old grandmother 5 minutes up the road, and managed to escape for a few mini-dates while the family babysat our daughter, and they sort of made fun of us every time we came in… cool…if we knew you and knew you were being nice and not rude. However, the reason we kept going back was because the food was terrific… I mean AMAZING. The hot wings were delicious – juicy and crisp and fresh, the shrimp cocktail was to DIE for! seriously… the reviews talking about how huge and fresh the shrimp are nailed it. Last of all(and actually the first thing I tried there) was the beef stroganoff with spaetzle. For the love of all things holy… how have I never had spaetzle before?! It’s like the donut of pasta. I am so bummed there is no place in Albuquerque to get it! Anyway, the food is made fresh to order **from scratch!** with love and that makes me a HUGE immediate fan. They’ve also got a great tap list. You can definitely tell that someone with a knowledge of beer put that selection together. If I lived nearby, I’d probably spend all my money there! Anyway, do yourself a favor and GO!
