This place is a little gem. It is a family-owned place where they really take pride in their pizza and other foods. The parking is small in the back, the bathrooms are outside but inside, they have games and other entertainment for kids which line around the walls, TV, salad bar, and long tables, if you need them. It is warm and friendly. The prices are normal and you can order whatever you want and they will make it. Owner checks on you and asks your opinion, Was busy while we were there but very family-friendly and fun.

Nice little find among all the wineries and fast food. Good toppings, good sauce, small salad bar but it satisfied this preggos craving, and most important, friendly service. We ordered the Spicy Hawaiian, minus the jalapeños, and I had an all-you-can-eat-salad bar. The edges of the pepperoni can out so super, yum! The only con, parking is really limited but we’ll be back when Apple Hill reopens.

Excellent pizza, reasonable pricing, and great customer service. I’m glad that this place is only a short drive away.

Local pizza place, not a chain. Great garlic cheese squares. Pizza is very good, pepperoni is spicier than most. They have a salad bar. Little room with video games, to keep the kids entertained. Many locals eat here, prices have climbed a little higher than I like, though. Smack dab in the middle of Apple Hill.

The pizza is great and the owners are cool. Great place for locals and if your on your way home from Tahoe its a great place to stop and fill up the belly and the car since there is a gas station in the same parking lot!

We love their pizza! Always great service and awesome tasting pizza! Our favorite is the spicy hawaiian! Also love their hot wings! Pizza always tastes fresh and is ready quickly!

Only reason this didn’t get five stars is the location. Hard to get into, have to maneuver in and around a gas station, which in the fall in Apple Hill is tricky. But the pizza is worth the car ride up and across the speedway that Hwy 50 is and the round about way through the gas station and the lack of parking. The pizza is delicious! We got take out of the combination and regular Hawaiian and both were very good in their own way. The linguica on the combo is spicy but not greasy. None of the meats were greasy just a nice balance of ingredients. The Hawaiian has a nice smoky flavor to the ham(Canadian bacon?) And the pineapples are small and dry, sometimes on other place’s pizzas the wet pineapple makes the whole thing a sloppy mess. The cheese is the right amount and very tasty. I look forward to trying the other varieties of pizzas… the garlic chicken sounds good. Mountain Pizza is a tasty and reasonably priced place.

Mountain Pizza of Apple Hill is by far among the very best pizzas in Northern California. It’s a great reward about 1 hour down the hill from South Lake Tahoe on Highway 50. Their veggie with garlic sauce is beyond salivating. We were just telling them that we had a veggie at one of the«hottest» pizza joints in SF and ended up totally convinced that Mountain Pizza is the gold medalist by far. The secret is in the sauces, cheeses, fresh ingredients and some chef magic only found there because these guys can only be found there. Eat well, then go taste some superb wine down the road among the vineyards and mountain pine. Absolute best pizza on 50 from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe hands down and back up into another salivating mouthful!

Ate here with the family on our way back home from Lake Tahoe to the Bay. Good place to eat with kids. Got the garlic cheese squares — highlight of our meal, super good!!! Pepperoni pizza was really greasy(dripping grease when holding a slice up from plate), the BBQ chicken pizza was good and even the chicken on the pizza was marinated with flavor. Has some outdated video games for the kids to play, long bench style seating, but overall would eat here again next time we are in the area. Located next to a gas station and one other restaurant/café whose menu had food that was too fancy for the kids to eat. Must get the garlic cheese squares!

The most delicious pizza. We have had the combo, hawaiian, chicken garlic and garlic squares. They are all super yummy. The employees are really nice and friendly.

My husband and I absolutely love this pizza. It’s always hot and fresh when we pick one up for pints & pie at Jack Russel brewery. Also, the service is great! Best pizza around.

Me and my family stopped by this pizza joint on our way back to Sacramento from the mountains and we loved it! We had passed this place up a couple of times and we even went to Round Table Pizza on Missouri Flat Road once which was very average(not nearly as good as the one we go to in Sacramento on Howe Ave). So we made a point of stopping by to taste this pizza. It was great! From the minute we walked through the door we were greeted in a kind fashion. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and accommodating. The crust was delicious, sauce was terrific, and plenty of toppings. AND, the restaurant and restrooms were very clean. We will definitely go back!

Ate here today while visiting apple hill. Best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Extremely friendly staff. I don’t believe the restrooms are maintained by this establishment as they are available to other businesses. Reviews that base their opinion on dirty restrooms should not even be considered. The dining area was clean and quiet. A great escape from the the busy tourist hustle of Apple hill. Again, excellent pizza and bread squares.

The chicken & bacon pizza was great! The crust was thin and crisp. White sauce was delicious. The cheese topping went all the way to the edge of the crust. And very nice service.

I love their pizza because it’s not super greasy. I think it’s great! It’s not gourmet and the people are friendly, especially the owner. I don’t know what Salinas pizza places are like but I do know this one doesn’t have waitresses. The last time I was there a friendly person helped me at the counter. So if anyone decideds to try this friendly small town pizza place don’t just sit at a table and expect a waitress to come and take your order. However they do have great pizza!

This is a convenient stop along the way when going to or from Lake Tahoe. They have decent pizza and pitchers of Sierra Nevada for a great value!

Very good pizza joint. Didn’t expect much but we had a hankerin for pizza. The sauce had a nice sweetness and the Sausage and Peppers were piled on. Had a TV to watch the game and multiple beers on tap to choose from. Friendly service this place is worth a trip.
