Possibly the worst restaurant on Winchester, besides the fact that this restaurant has odd operating hours and overpriced menu. The food reminded me of a knock off microwave version of a banquet Mexican meal, the flavor of each item was dry and flavorless. I ordered a burrito which was not anything close to what I usually have, the tortillas texture was much more tortilla chip, rather than the soft, warm texture which I am used to, I think they used old chili Colorado to put inside the burrito along with more beans which already covered half my plate. As the beans cemented when the plate was put down, I was really hoping the sold antacids as well. The service was mediocre, while the food took over the entire experience. Casa poopy learn from the many of the authentic taquerias surrounding you.

My husband and I just went for brunch, I had never been there before, and he had only been once. It wasn’t too busy and had a really chill vibe initially, the we were greeted and sat really promptly. The guy who first served us was this boisterous, outgoing dude, and super helpful with recommendations. Our waitress was equally helpful and was always there when we needed her without being too overbearing. Food wise though, this place was excellent. He got the Menudo and I got the Plato Tres Colores. The portions were huge and everything was hot and fresh. Especially the chicken enchilada I got though, I was surprised at how moist the chicken was, as normally when I go out to places the shredded chicken is always dry, so it was a pleasant surprise. Seriously can’t recommend this place enough, really wanna try it in the evenings.

Wah wahhhhh waahhhhhhhhhh. This place is always packed. Lines out the door on a Friday night but I do not understand why. Sure they have a full bar. But Their food is bland, my enchiladas were dry. How does that even happen? It was dry chicken wrapped in a tortilla. If I wanted poorly made Mexican food I would have cooked it myself.

Went her with a friend(who’s a regular) and we had the costadas and wow! If you’re thinking of going her you have got to try that meal. Had it with 2(!) margaritas and those were also great. The dishes were really large and I was more than pleased. We got great service and the atmosphere is super nice, maybe because it’s a small family place!

I ordered food to go and it was all cold. The cheese want melted. I asked for no beans and was given beans. The portions of even the rice and beans is sad.

Waitress asked us «table for two?» and when we said yes she just walked away without saying anything. There are two rooms and even though people were waiting to be seated, they didn’t open the second room. We walked out. If they can’t seat us at one of the 10+ empty tables, then we won’t spend our money there.

I am now a regular. When we pull in, they see my red car and sometimes even surprise us with our drinks on the table before we sit. My husband doesn’t even have to order his meal, they know what he wants. I mix it up but they always know it’s «this or that». I would now call the staff my friends. Not sure what I was talking about with the chips and salsa BITD. I love both. The food is always good, the service stellar, the margaritas, always strong.

Good solid food, however, my dining companion found the space«kind of squishy.» The service was very good. My dining companion was excited to be able to order menudo on a weekday. The lunch menu was very reasonable.

Food was good. Had the Mexicali chicken. Presentation was authentic. Staff was friendly. Nothing out of this world special or excellent but definitely a decent Mexican place for dinner.

Used to go to Sunnyvale location frequently. Casa Lupe opened a Campbell store right around time I relocated to the area and I was thrilled. Before getting into the food, I must mention how friendly and welcoming the family is that runs the place. They make you feel like you are dining in their own living room. Couldn’t be nicer, and fun to watch bark at each other like brothers and sisters can tend to do. The food is really good, but inconsistent at times. But it’s never not at the least good. Been a year or so since I’ve been here, and plan on returning very soon. My bad. Not theirs.

One word: MOLE. This Latina says«Order the chicken mole» Decadent Dark Chocolate mole sauce with chicken breast. So rich and delicious. And if you don’t finish your plate please call me and I will come straightaway!!! Service was fast and on point. We ordered a mango margarita and a melon margarita. The melon margarita tasted like a honeydew melon. The drinks were light however we weren’t looking to get drunk. I have no qualms asking for more alcohol if we so desired. Looking forward to coming back for more great food.

Casa Lupe seems to have a few different locations throughout Santa Clara County but this one is my favorite. Excellent waitstaff always attentive and always friendly. The food is consistent and very good. Highly recommend.

Always tasty and excellent service. My favorite is their shrimp enchiladas with green sauce and a side salad with their homemade ranch. have also enjoyed their shrimp and chicken fajitas, Mexicali Chicken if you’re looking for a healthier entrée, chicken chimichanga(so good and not greasy), tamales have always been nice and moist, if you like dessert the benuelos with ice cream and caramel sauce drizzled is mouth watering. And if You want to go for just margaritas and appetizers, be sure to grab some of their amazing chicken nachos! Don’t forget to start off with their tasty salsa, chips and guacamole and their original Cadillac margaritas! So delicious! Okay I’m hungry now ha enjoy this place! ;)

We went there purely by chance as the main reason was the glass shop nextdoor. And I’m so glad we had lunch there! The restaurant was clearly Americanized as they were showing American football instead of the real one. The waiter was very nice and brought the chips and salsa right away. And the chunky salsa was great. The price wasn’t low so we ordered a chicken burrito and a carnitas plate. The order came out soon. My carnitas was very good with a lot of flavors and the rice was good as well since they cooked in chicken or beef broth. My wife’s burrito was pretty good as well, topped with green salsa. Too bad it’s far from my house, otherwise we’ll come here more often.

Unfortunately, our experience was very dissapointing. Our server didn’t take our order correctly and food was late. Once the food came it was cold and some of the areas were burnt. Decided to let the server know, took them back and finally got it right. It took an 1hr to be served. The atmosphere was very loud couldn’t hear myself while I ordered or talked to my date. The tables are old, stains on the floor, and everything is out dated. Not a great experience. I wouldn’t recommend it.

First time here and I had a carnitas chimichanga with rice. Food — I enjoyed my meal. Overall, it was a flavorful dish and I really liked the taste/tenderness of the carnitas. I was glad that the chimichanga didn’t have any extra fillers like beans in it. It was strictly carnitas, deep-fried, and topped with generous dollops of sour cream and guacamole. The chips and salsa were only OK though. Service — Friendly and accommodating. Our server was really nice and the food came out quickly. I wouldn’t mind coming back to try their other dishes.

We came here based on a recommendation from a friend. Parking is tight here so be prepared to hunt for a spot. Walked in and took a minute to get seated. The place was busy but not completely booked. We chose our items and waited… and waited. It looked like only one waitress was working on this side of the house. Not sure if this was normal or someone called in sick but, it was slow. We finally placed our order and drinks, all of which came out in reasonable time. We ordered the chicken enchilada which was very dry and the sauce was the only thing that made it palatable. The chicken quesadilla was ok. There were a lot of shrimp in the camarones al mojo de ajo but it was very wet. The flavor was pretty good. Just the sauce was too watery. The best dish of the evening was the pork tamales. We all enjoyed this one. The pork was lean. The masa was tasty and it wasn’t too greasy. I’d definitely recommend the tamales.

This place has been around forever. Actually, when I met my husband 20 years ago I think he had a bar stool with his name on it! Ya … he was a «regular». Ownership has changed but that’s about it. The interior and menu have pretty much stayed the same. There are two dinning room options. You can eat in the large back room or dine in the bar area which is where we sat. Friday and Saturday nights are pretty packed and the night we came in(Friday) there was a line out the door by 7pm. Although the margaritas here are good, I ordered a glass of wine. The wine glasses crack me up because they’re that old school diamond cute chunky glass that my mom had in the 80’s. The hubby and our daughter opted for the margaritas. Hubs had the house and daughter had the peach one. The peach one was just okay. We’ve eaten here several times. I love that it’s family owned, service is alway outstanding and the place is festive with singles and families alike. Unfortunately the food just falls short for me and I feel the prices are a little high for what you get. Don’t get me wrong, you get plenty and leave full but the dishes are missing the mark. Chicken Suiza Enchilada– rice and beans are good enough, Suiza sauce is okay but the chicken inside the enchilada was so bland and a touch dry. The chicken tastes straight up boiled in plain water, no seasoning. The flavor of the filling is the most important part! Chicken Verde Enchilada — served with beans and rice and unfortunately the same bland chicken as the Suiza dish. My daughter wasn’t impressed with the verde sauce either. Shredded Beef Verde Enchilada — the menu just said«beef» so I asked if it was ground or shredded. Our server(who I believe is also an owner) said I could get either. I opted for shredded since I’ve always thought ground beef should stay in taco bell tacos only. I was disappointed when I cut into my enchilada to find chopped steak inside instead of shredded meat. I didn’t care for it to much. You can’t beat the service, and drinks are strong. My husband said the nachos were the bomb back in the day so I think we will stick to happy hour fare and enjoy the good margaritas and friendly service.
