Took my grandmother here to get her hair trimmed and ended up taking 2 hours. Unacceptable and extremely rude to have your customers waiting around.

I took my mother for a hair color, cut & shampoo. A+ to their attention, professionalism & the cleanliness of the place. Helen did such a great job for my mother’s hair! the best she’s ever had! I then decided to have Ron do mine (I have waist long hair, highlights but needed a touch up) Thank you so much Ron you did a wonderful job for my hair :) Consider me, my mother, my family to be customers of yours from now on. Highly recommended!

Not satisfied with the hair cut at this place. Definitely not worth the money as well. The person was not friendly and I felt that he didn’t do his job perfect.

I’ve been going to see Ron for probably 10 years and he is great. The price is right and my hair looks good — what else can you ask for?

I am always happy with the service here, and you can’t beat the price. Ron is great, does what I ask him to do every time, and has a very accommodating attitude. If you need him to do something, just tell him. When I needed a haircut right before a job interview, he quickly worked me in thanks to their call ahead service, even on a $ 12 Tuesday when the shop is extremely busy.

Went right before closing on Thursday night and the guy that cut my hair was awful. I told him what I wanted and for some reason he couldn’t figure it out. He didn’t clean up the back of my neck, didn’t even out my side burns, and left the entire left side of my hair uncut. Super disappointed in his lack of attention to detail. I ended up going up and cleaning it up on my own. I’ll never go back and I highly recommend not to go here. It was a waste of $ 20. Go to floyd’s or classic cuts. They are way better than this place and especially better than this haircut guy.

Just received a wonderful cut by Ron (friendly and professional chap). If you need a good fade or just a quick clean up, he’s your man! Skilled with the clippers and great at texturing, I cannot help but sing his praises.

Pay Ron more! He IS Cost Cutters. Do anything you can to keep this man happy. He’s the only person I trust to cut my hair for 15 years.

I have been having Ron cut my hair for at least 15 years and he is a really great guy. To be honest i could cut my hair myself but honestly i just to to hangout and talk to him a bit while he cuts my hair.

My 2-​star rating is not for the stylists, they deserve a 4.5, its for the management. The Camden location closes and 3 days in a row there is only 2 people working at the Campbell location. They need to staff more stylists each day. I have left 3 days in a row and am willing to take my business else where. Each day the salon was packed with a huge wait.

My Cost Cutters recently closed near my house off Camden. I was so glad to see Ron has moved to the Hamilton location. He is awesome and does an amazing job. Great location near Whole Foods. Thank you Cost Cutters!

Went in for a color refresh with Helen yesterday. Loved it. I noticed that since I last blabbed there were a lot more women getting color, perms and cuts. I may not just be able to walk in anymore for color. Happy for Helen but secretly I don’t want to wear her out. Please be nice to Helen!

I walked in on a Friday night without an appointment and was cheerfully greeted by Helen who asked me to wait a few minutes while she finished another gentleman’s haircut… Shortly after that she was very interested in giving me a good haircut and I’m rather picky about how my hair is done and how clean the salon is! I was pleasantly surprised at how well my hair was done considering it was the first time she had cut my hair and for only $ 20 including tip! I used to get my hair cut a few blocks down Bascom Avenue at a disgusting little shop that went through an ownership change and is now unacceptably filthy (see review) so I was so glad to find a salon in my neighborhood that I liked… I’ll definitely go back soon… Thanks Helen and Monique!

TERRIBLE !!! will NEVER go back there again… my daughter went in to have her hair dyed… they did not tell me that I would have to pay a «Hair color correction fee of $ 60 on top of the dying price of $ 40. so was I surprised when I went to pay for it… Plus they did a crappy job, not even the color she wanted. What a waste of my time and money. PLEASE people do not go there.

Just had my son’s hair cut by Thu Bui and she totally messed up his hair. She cut a large chunk out of his right side of his bangs. I pointed it out and without saying anything she cuts a huge chunk out of the other side to match. Great! So instead of one side that looks terrible both sides look ridiculous! Never coming here again.

Terrible place and not worth it unless you enjoy getting your hair cut by old Asian ladies that have no idea what they’re doing. Actually there’s one person that does a decent job, her name is Tonya but she only works certain nights. The rest of the «stylists» are terrible and do a terrible job.
I have been there three times, first time it was cut by Tonya who seems pretty cool and has a kind of hip hairstyle which gives me the idea that she’ll try to make me look good at least has an idea of what looks good. Which for the most part she did a good job. Second and third time I get my hair cut by two old Asian ladies both did not seem to care at all and were more concerned with giving the fastest haircut known to man. After my second experience I should have never come back but idiot me, decided to give them another chance since my first experience was good.
My third and last experience there, the stylist finished cutting my hair and ushered me off to go pay. I went to the mirror to look it over since she never offered me the hand mirror that most people do after a job is done. I look it over and see patches of hair in different spots of my head that are a good ¼″ — ½″ longer than the rest of my hair. I tell the lady, she only cuts the areas I mention and does not look over the rest of my haircut, you know check if she screwed up any where else, which is what I imagine someone who cared would do. I check the mirror again and more spots where patches of hair are noticeably longer than the rest. She fixes it, I check mirror again and still see areas that need attention but at this point I’d rather just fix it myself. I go home fix it myself and realize that I forgot to check the back of my head. I find a bunch of spots where it’s longer than the rest and I even find some in the bottom back part by my neck. I use 0 or no guard on that area and I imagine it is difficult to miss a hair since it would stick out badly because the rest of the area is bald. I’m like wow, seriously how do you mess that up, you buzz that section with a trimmer and you still miss hairs? These weren’t tiny hairs either, I estimate a good 1/​8″ in length.
I asked for a high fade with no guard, and evenly trim ¼″ off the top, I don’t really care about cutting it I just want to make all the hairs even. Pretty simple haircut. I ended up with no fade, just the side of my head completely shaved ridiculously high and then patches of uneven hair where I asked it to be trimmed evenly. It was the worst flat top haircut that I have ever seen and reminded me of the time when I tried to cut my own hair as a toddler using the bathroom mirror and safety scissors.

So I come to this place for my 4 yr. old’s haircut.
I have been twice and so far so good. Both times it was a different lady and both have done a great job. There is somewhat of a language barrier, however, they seem to understand EXACTLY how I want my boys hair done.
Walk-​ins are welcome.
The place is clean and they even went out of the way to give a gentleman a fresh comb to style his hair!
Their prices or a bit high $ 12.95 for a child’s cut, so not a bargain but then gain priced just right for the Campbell area.
Only reason why I didnt give them the 5^th star is because everytime my son seemed to jitter, move or complain about hair on his neck, both ladies’ solution was to give him a lollipop. Im not against lollipops but not as a form of comfort. So not a huge deal breaker but enough to not award Gold!
Overall, pleased and will continue to bring my business here.
