La Jaiba Taqueria Y Mariscos

We had lunch there today, June 4, 2016. The two chicken enchiladas platter (I had salsa verde) platter with rice, beans, and salad was absolutely delicious. We also had the carnitas (moist and crispy) platter which came with beans, rice, salad, and home made/​made there corn tortillas!
We will be back.

Came in to get chicken enchiladas for lunch. The enchilada sauce was so freshly blends and very well made. The salsa was so fresh and delicious! Authentic Mexican food! Fresh tortillas too!

Wow what an amazing find, we used to go to Angelina’s, but we like this place better. The most warm and friendly staff the food was absolutely fantastic. What a great atmosphere and Hospitality. I will definitely be back

Wow. I had the chilaquiles and wow. I have been many places to eat that dish and by far this place is the spot to go. I can’t wait to try all their other dishes.

Now under new name I’ve decided to go there and liked it very much.
I tried super michelada and I think it has been the best I’ve had anywhere so far.
I tried Birria de Chivo and was great and I cannot wait to try the mariscos next I will definitely be back pretty soon.
If you like chilaquiles you’ll love them here best I’ve had in a restaurant.

Tried this place for the first time today and was very satisfied. I ordered the shrimp super burrito and my BF got the al pastor super burrito. They were both great! Service was good and friendly. I’d definitely come back!

First time in… ordered 2 chimichangas one El pastor one chicken and we ordered 1 super burrito, steak.
I got to say this is the best El pastor Chimi I have ever had. I was was told by my compadres that their burritos were good.
So why 3 stars? …well the floors were unkempt, the sauce in the refrigerator that you can put on your burrito had ¼ inch discoloration (that made me a little uneasy.) The Horchata was just OK and I feel the Chimi could have had a crispier crust.
BUT the number one reason was… I did not get the bill. now mind you I handed her a hundred dollar bill as she came up with the food bill in her hand, so that’s my fault… but she came back with $ 52 dollars for my change. I could not figure out how 3 Ala carte burritos and 3 Horchatas came out to $ 47.25 and why no receipt.
I left them the change kept my fiddy and left.
Don’t get me wrong the price was probably OK, I just have no way of knowing and I did not want to make a fuss…
UPDATE.the owner contacted me last night and was very apologetic. She asked me to come in… I did. She gave me another El pastor burrito and a juice drink. I can tell that they are hard working, caring people. I will be coming back to eat here! It was an unfortunate situation that was partly caused by myself I should have waited to get the receipt and then paid her. (LET’S MAKE THIS CLEAR. THEY HAVE GOOD FOOD HERE!!! AND THEY ARE GOOD, KIND AND HONEST HARD WORKING PEOPLE!!!) PLEASE SUPPORT THEM WITH YOUR BUSINESS!!!

Excellent experience! Today was our first time visiting this restaurant. Excellent customer service and excellent food. The restaurant’s appearance is not the most modern or updated, but it’s clean and people are very kind and welcoming. Loved the extensive menu selection. Especially liked their Horchata drink, also their homemade chips and orange salsa. I ordered the Mojado Shrimp Burrito with green salsa. It was more than I could eat, so took the rest home. It was DELICIOUS! Great folks, great food, great price. Will definitely be coming back with the rest of the family!

Ceviche! I love seafood and this place did not disappoint. The young woman that was working was very friendly and provided great service. I had ceviche and a side of rice & beans. Everything including the salsa was fantastic. HUGE frosty mug of ice tea too. That’s how to serve a drink! Once the weather heats up, I’ll get a cold beer ;)

New Owners… Finally a restaurant worthy of being located next to TGI Sushi. I was blown away with how good the food was here. The previous place was average at best but now… wow! So Fresh and the Al Pastor and Carne Asada are some of the best I have ever had anywhere. Affordable, delicious and fast. What more can you ask for? I am on a very specific diet (low Carb) and the made me one of the best custom salads I have ever had. I was so impressed I hired them to deliver 24 Burritos to one of my Improvised Musicals. Ive driven by this strip mall dozens of times but never thought to drop in. That sushi place has been there for ages i think. Friend wanted Mexican so we dropped in. It’s a huge menu and deceptively the space is fairly large for what i thought would be a hole in the wall. A mainly Michoacan menu that has many specials, seafood and otherwise but no Morisqueta! So i got the enchiladas Michoacan with huilota. Tortillas soaked in chili sauce, grilled quail, cotija cheese, tomatoes cabbage and fresh avocado. Pretty tasty. The servers are all very nice and thanked us on the way out. I think ill have to give the seafood a shot next time. There are just so many items to choose from!

Great authentic Mexican food! Gudelia is warm and friendly, and her food is so tasty. We had the aquachile, which was fresh and spicy, and the Barbacoa which was well-​seasoned and delicious. We will be back. I also ate my boyfriends carnitas tacos which were de-​lish!

My second time in here tonight I’m having the shrimp soup and the shrimp ceviche both perfectly executed. I know my food I got to ICC (international culinary center) here in Cambell. I’ve been in the biz forever, went to sushi school, and Mexican food is one of my favorites. This husband and wife team here know what they’re doing. Someone must of taught them some good tricks cuz this food is BOMB! Trust me go here try it. I guarantee you’ll love it. that’s the truth. Also it’s nice to support a family business they’re really so nice and they’re product is awesome.

Disappointed… The barbacoa was 90% fat, the chicken was bland. Only thing that was ok was the carne asada. Also 2 scoops of rice in a taco salad? Rice doesn’t belong in taco salads IMO, but that is debatable, the fat content on the barbacoa is not… I will not be returning.

First off this place is way over price… 2^nd the service is bad… 3^rd I found hair in my food and the waiter had the nerve to argue with me over it telling me it wasn’t hair… Like really lady I guess a hair looks like meat to you but to normal person it’s hair even the homie I was with seen it and he stopped eating the food was nasty jus horrible I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one

By far the best Mexican food in the bay area. Brand new restaurant just opened on December 25, 2015. So far my favorite foods are the chilaquiles, the chimichanga, the chile relleno burrito, and the tacos. Of all the tacos I love the al pastor, the shrimp, and the carnitas. I also had caldo de res for the first time and really loved it. It’s a beef broth stew with veggies. They make their own chips and if you get tortillas with anything, you can request handmade. Seriously, I’ve already been there too much because in the 16 years of living in the bay area, I’ve been looking for a place like this. I’ve been to almost every taco truck/​stand and Mexican restaurant I can find in the area and this is by far my favorite. Also, the salsa is the best… so spicy and such diversity in selection. Gude is the owner and her sister Mariana is the server. I’m pretty sure her family is the rest of the staff supporting the restaurant. They are very kind and welcoming to everybody who comes in. Go there and try it out. You will love it if you are picky and want authentic, flavorful and spicy Mexican food.

Definetely the best place ive been to in the campbell area! Really great delicious authentic mexican food just like moms cooking! Really recomend this place, great customer service, very friendly and delicious food!

First I have to start by saying I am Mexican and I can vouch that this place is authentic. It’s hard to please me when it comes to Mexican food since my mom is a such great cook and I usually tend to be disappointed, so this is saying a lot. They are also very friendly and are attentive. They opened recently so I have only had the chance to try the following:
Tacos: al pastor (spicy pork), shrimp, carnitas are all sooo good. You can’t go wrong with any of these tacos. Make sure you add the spicy salsa in the bottle that they bring to your table as it brings it all together quite well.
If you’ve never had a chile relleno burrito, you have to try theirs because it is so good and spicy. I get the regular burrito as i like it basic so I can taste the chile relleno better.
Their shrimp ceviche tostadas are delicious. Not spicy but you can add Tapatio which is what we usually do when my mom makes it at home.
I’m still waiting to try their torta de milanesa (breaded steak sandwich), nopales con huevo (cactus and egg), chilaquiles and their albondigas (meat ball soup). These are the dishes you can only get in authentic Mexican restaurants. An update is sure to follow soon. If you are nearby, you should definitely stop by an check this place out.

This place is under new management and i have to sau it will be the best Mexican resturant in Campbell. I had the shrimp tacos but could not take a picture because they were to good.

Chicken Chimichanga was huge and the chicken tender and plentiful. Wife had Nopalitos (cactus) which she loved.
Staff is super friendly and humored my broken Spanish. The lady who prepared our food even came by to ask how our food was, after we had finished eating. (I get a bit annoyed when you get asked how everything is when your mouth is full.)
The corn tortillas are handmade and you can taste the freshness. We even took some home with us. Chips and salsa good and fresh. Several salsa choices.
The best was when we asked about different items, the waitress offered for us to sample the Molé, it was delicious. My mother-​in-​law ended up ordering the Molé. She loved it.
Food — excellent!
Service — excelanté!
Price — inline for other local restaurants and good for a site down experience.
