Just walking around Campbell while getting tires changed and found this gem thanks to other Unilocalers. My son and I ordered the small Mediterranean $ 14.00 and a Mediterranean salad $ 4.50. Then topped it off cannoli $ 3.25. Everything was superb, real pizza does take a while to cook so do not be in a rush.

I’ve seen this pizza place for years — never tried until now and wow I have been missing out! The calzone with pepperoni and sausage YUMMMY! The cheesy blend and soft garlic dough I had to contain myself from eating it all! It’s HUGE by the way! I’ll definitely be going back!

This is for the customer service. They aren’t that friendly and they never say thank you either.

Just had this pizza at a birthday party. Wow, best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Very NY style. On par with Amici’s, but better in my opinion.

This place is a joke. We ate pizza at the location 2 times, it was fine there. That’s the only reason we gave them two stars. Then we ordered a couple times because we liked it. First time great, second time garbage. We had ordered a buffalo chicken pizza, it was 3 slices of chicken and more white sauce then pizza. Inedible! We called the manager and he said he was sorry and to come in for a new one… we ordered delivery for a reason. The last and final time we ordered it was a buffalo chicken with jalapenos and just a plain cheese. They sent a pizza with nothing but sauce that looked like a dog licked off most of it with jalapenos on it. The Buffalo had no jalapenos it was fine put when my fiancé had to throw out her entire pizza it ruined dinner for us. Called the restaurant again, no help. Worst customer service ever. Whoever made that pizza, took it out of the oven, said this burnt, unfinished piece of shit looks good enough for a customer deserves to be fired. No actual care about patrons. Go somewhere else. And we would appreciate a response to this review. I’m assuming they will not

$ 7 for 2 slices. I had sausage, peporoni and olive and some other veggie white sauce one haha. Both were delicious. Decent price and flavor was good. Crust was a little dry. Kind of wonder what a fresh out of the oven pizza tastes like there. Maybe have to come back and try.

I ordered a 16″ pepperoni, mushroom and olive. When i got home the pizza looked… gooey for lack of a better work. The cheese did not seem normal. Usually a pizza has stringy cheese that comes in long string when you take a slice out, but this one was just wet. The sauce as good, crust had a sweetness to it but i couldn’t get over the lack of cheese, made me ask myself it was real cheese. There are far to many pizza places to choose from so i will just say thanks for the gooey pizza and wish ya the best.

All I can say is Jalapeño Popper Pizza. Jalapenos and cream cheese goodness. They also serve by the slice but I ordered a complete pizza and was not disappointed. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

I decided to check out Sal’s after reading great reviews on Unilocal, however I was disappointed. Perhaps I came on an off day, and they just weren’t performing at their best. I came in around noon and the shop was pretty quiet and slow. By the time I left, which was about 12:30, only one other customer had come in. When I came in, the pizzas had just come out of the oven. The gentleman at the counter was very helpful and answered any questions I had. He told me that he had slices of Mediterranean and Cheese ready, and Pep would be out in a couple minutes. I decided that I’d just go with the cheese slice. I suppose pricing is okay… considering I got a fairly large slice of Pizza and a large fountain drink for $ 6. When I got the slice, it looked meh. I wasn’t excited to dig in, and trust me… I love pizza, I jump at the chance of getting pizza. My slice of cheese was a little underwhelming. It looked like there was barely any cheese on it and it just glistened with oils. I added Parmesan and chili flakes to it, but that did no good. I tried to pick up my slice, and it was just a hot mess. The dough was thin, which I typically like, but it just felt like the toppings were soaking through the dough and so I had to grab a fork and knife. Just as the slice looked, there was NOT enough cheese as I would have liked on a slice of cheese pizza. I’d rather have made the drive to Costco and get their cheese slice than eat this one. I did enjoy that it wasn’t drenched in marinara sauce. Their sauce is different than most places, it’s not that bright red you’d expect and there are actual bits and pieces of tomatoes in it. I enjoyed that quite a bit, but the stars are definitely getting knocked down due to the lack of cheese and firmness I’d expect in a slice of pizza. Perhaps I’ll come back and check it out another time. I really want to try the Jalepeno popper, but there was no way I was going to get an entire pizza for myself. For now, 2 stars… and add on a 0.5 for service.

Maybe we came on an off day? It was just about 1pm on a Sunday, and the store was completely empty and there was almost nothing in the way of slices for sale. The counter person was friendly and told us that there were two new pies coming out soon, but when I asked for vegetarian slices, she shrugged. So we ordered a 12″ Della Magia, which had mushrooms and spinach and garlic, plus some garlic knots.(Shortly thereafter, we discovered that there was indeed a cheese pizza in the corner of the display case for sale by the slice. Oh well.) Since we had anticipated getting slices, we were both getting a little hangry by the time the pizza was done. It was a white sauce pizza, which I didn’t realize when ordering, but was okay with. The flavors were fine, but the whole thing was oily enough that it was floppy and hard to eat. Huge, though — never seen 12″ look like that before. It was advertised as being for one or two people, but the two of us ate only half of it and got a box for the rest. The garlic knots were awesome and deserve a star on their own. Chewy, bready knots with enough garlic butter and salt to be tasty without any additional sauce. I was hoping for something along the lines of Slice of New York, but closer by and with less stupid parking. I don’t think Sal’s is it, although I do prefer their garlic knots to Slice of NY’s. Maybe I’ll go back and try a more traditional slice some time.

Favorite pizza in the area. I can’t decide what makes it– the sauce or the crust. Just so good.

It’s my first time here — I’m a fan. The slices are decent, the pizza isn’t covered with corn meal as it is in other local places, the owner is friendly and nice to kids — we will be back for sure! Looking forward to trying one of the specialty pizzas soon. This has become my new go-to pizza spot in Campbell.

I don’t know what it is about pizza served by the slice, but I’ll take a slice at Sal’s over most major pizza chains any day. I usually always get the Hawaiian pizza because they serious pile on the toppings, unlike most places who just love to skimp out on that. Also the crust is excellent! I love how they aren’t afraid to make it extra crispy. I cannot stand doughy crust without any crunch to it, so kudos to them for getting that right. Service is nothing short of excellent. They’re always welcoming to new customers and I always get hooked up with extra ranch dip so there’s that. Great pizza place overall.

I love Sal’s! I have never been disappointed with an order. Their pizzas are full of ingredients, not greasy and just the right amount of sauce. The crust is perfect! Thin with a thick outer crust with air pockets. The slices are a generous size too. I was just introduced to their garlic knots and now I order them all the time. Who would order from Pizza chains when you can get quality pizza like Sal’s. They don’t deliver which is a bummer but you can order from them through door dash!

Pizzas are thin and crispy and huge in size. I usually order by the slice and dip the crust in marinara sauce. The garlic knots and cannolis are addicting!

Went here for a quick lunch. The pepperoni slice I bought was well done and enjoyed with lots of bites. The only downside to this was the parmesan cheese. It was kind of crunchy and dry. It’ll be great to have sauces and condiments refreshed once they run out. Slice prices are not on the menu, but they’re $ 3.50 each, tax included. They also have $ 1 soda cans. :)

Non-greasy, thin but not flimsy, and relatively inexpensive. The only con is that if you go after 7:30PM, their choices are slim pickings. It was Gavin’s choice which worked out perfectly because it was a bookmark and I spent just $ 7 total for our 2 slices. Service was friendly. The seating area was clean and pretty organized. The dessert display case had chocolate mousse cups and various cannolis to choose from but I remained strong and refrained. The pizzas came out in about 2 – 3 minutes, not enough to fully warm up in the oven, I believe but that was ok. My Hawaiian was good. I liked the crust albeit it was a bit dry. I needed ranch to dip that baby in next time.

Stopped by for a quick snack after receiving a few recommendations, including Unilocaler Noelle J. Unbeknownst to me, Sal’s is the sole West coast location of a pizza shop from Boston’s North End so I was looking forward to legit East Coast pizza. They sell by the slice but only had cheese pizza pre-made. The staff gladly offered to make a fresh pie with whatever I wanted to order by the slice and I happily chose pepperoni. He said it would take 15 minutes so I took a seat and perused the history and menu. After what felt like shorter than 15 minutes, they brought a fresh and piping hot slice of pepperoni straight from the oven. They even gave me a nice mug of ice water. The pepperoni slice was almost as large as their take out menu and the cheese was gooey and gorgeous. The pepperoni were nice and crispy and the whole slice was oily but so delicious. I don’t have pizza often but this was one of the best slices I’ve had in awhile. At $ 3.50/slice, it’s a good value too. I can say with conviction while I love Costco pizza this was much better. Overall, great stop and great snack. Friendly service and love they cooked a fresh pie just for me. Sal’s takes credit cards but not American Express.

After introducing me to two of my new favorite pizza toppings(cream cheese, and ricotta cheese), there’s no way I’d give Sal’s less than 4 stars. The great service and amazing food they consistently provide bumps them up to 5 stars, and makes Sal’s one of my favorite pizza joints in the South Bay. Here’s the breakdown of the food I’ve had here over the past few months: Small(12″) Jalapeño Popper Pizza($ 14) — 5 stars — HOLY F**K! I would’ve never thought that cream cheese would be so good as a pizza topping. I’ve tried adding other toppings to this pizza, but realized that it’s better with just the jalapeños & cream cheese Small Chocolate Cannoli w/Chocolate Chips($ 2.50) — 5 stars — I don’t remember the last time I ate somewhere and gave 5 stars to more than one thing on the menu. This was easily the best cannoli I’ve had in my life Pizza Slice — Jalapeño Popper — 4 ½ stars — The ½ star difference between this and the Small Jalapeño Popper pizza is on the slices(and on their large pizzas), the crust is a lot bigger, so when they overcook it(and they often do), it’s a lot more noticeable than on the small pizzas Small(12″) NorthEnd Pizza($ 15) — 4 ½ stars — You’ve gotta be kidding me! First cream cheese, now ricotta?! This was the second time Sal’s surprised me w/a topping that I never tried before. The NorthEnd also has little«puddles» of their red sauce on top of the pizza, which made it taste like Pizza Hut to me(in a good way). The crust on this was overcooked, but like I said earlier, on a small pizza, that doesn’t affect the taste too much Large Traditional Cannoli($ 3) & Large Traditional Cannoli w/Chocolate Chips($ 3.25) — Both 4 ½ stars — I’m always pessimistic when I hear a restaurant refer to something as «famous», but after tasting these f***ing things, I wouldn’t question it. They fill the cannoli with fresh cream when you order it, so you know it’s fresh
Large(19″) Supreme Pizza($ 30) — 4 stars — 19 inch, 3 pound, monster of a pizza is basically the Sal’s Special with spicy Italian sausage added to it. That sausage makes a difference though, and puts this a few steps ahead of Sal’s Special Large(19″) Custom Pizza — Pepperoni, Mushroom, & Jalapeño, w/Cream Cheese added to ½($ 35.60) — Both sides 4 stars — I liked the side with cream cheese better, and even though they plopped on too much cream cheese and overcooked the crust(again), dipping the crust in the extra cream cheese first, and then eating the slice fixed both problems Large(19″) Sal’s Special($ 28) — 4 stars — I liked the pizza a lot, but guess what they did to the crust again? Yup, overcooked it. Maybe it’s time to either adjust the timer, or the oven Pizza Slices — Cheese & Pepperoni($ 3.50 each) — Both 4 stars — I like that they use two different types of pepperoni here. The slices are a pretty good size, but nowhere nearly as big as I expected them to be after reading some of these reviews Small Chocolate Cannoli($ 2.25) — 4 stars — This is pretty good, but loosen up your budget and throw in another $ 0.25 for chocolate chips, and you’ll notice the difference Pizza Slice — MeatLovah($ 3.50) — 3 ½ stars — The only time I had this was after my first time trying the Jalapeño Popper pizza, so that might have something to do w/the low rating Garden Salad($ 4) — 3 stars — 4 stars — The 3 – 4 star range is because sometimes you’ll end up w/a salad that’s got old lettuce, cucumbers, and/or carrots in it, and sometimes everything will be fresh

Decided to stop by here after my aerial yoga class next door… and Sal’s is GREAT. I love pizza and I love that I can get it by the slice here! I tried the meat lover’s(pep, sausage, bacon — $ 3.50) and it was really good. I love that the crust is big and fluffy. Also I tried a regular cannoli with chocolate chips($ 3.25) and that was divine. Service here is great. Nicole greeted me right away, began heating the pizza as I was paying and it was ready real quick for me. She even kept the cannoli for me to stay cold while I ate the pizza. This is a small place but has that family-owned feel which I liked. I would definitely come here again!
