Would give them 0 stars but had no choice. Store was a dump. The guy was creepy, like the kind your mother had in mind when she told you to stay away from strangers. Went to buy salad dressing. Four bottles available. Three were over a year past the expiration date. No public bathroom. Won’t need to save this on my GPS. Will never go back.

I was camping at nearby Long Lake in the Kettle Moraine forest and ran into a critical ice shortage – the pressure was on to save our precious beer and water from unwanted warming. I consulted with google maps to determine a nearby ice purveyor. Zahn and his Trading Post were within my top results, so I motored on over there, not expecting much. This place was a perfect example of what something called a «trading post» should be – from the large gravel parking lot with glassed-in info board, to the extensive variety in goods offered in the tiny aisles. I would have loved to stay longer! Campers and backpackers, pretty much everything you want is here. I don’t know if it was the proprietor at the till, but whoever he was, he was extremely pleasant. I would love to revisit this place if I’m ever back in the area.
