My brother, husband, sister-in-law and I stayed at the Four Seasons for one night this past weekend. I think if you are staying at this place you need to know what to expect, and you won’t be disappointed. If you are looking for cabin luxury, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a cute, friendly, inexpensive location to stay that is in Kettle Moraine and on a pretty and quiet little lake, stay here. The resort is essentially a lovely spot on Crooked Lake where people park their RVs and trailers for the summer. We spoke with a bunch of people who said they had been coming here for more than a decade to spend the summer. The cabins that are available to rent are essentially four or five cabins nestled in among the RVs. None of the cabins are actually *on* the lake itself, but they are a 30 second walk from the lake. Rather than having cabins on the lake, there is a little park with picnic benches and grills for all the people staying in the resort to use. There is a cute paddle boat you can take out, and canoes to use as well. The actual cabins have two to three bedrooms(some might have more, i’m not sure), a nice kitchen that was surprisingly big, a little sitting/living room area, and of course, a bathroom and shower. Every cabin also has it’s own fire pit, which is nice. Unlike what another Unilocaler wrote, there was no trash or anything in our fire pit. It was just a regular fire pit with some used wood in it. Perfectly fine! Also, unlike the other Unilocaler, there was absolutely no manure smell in the area at all. I’m wondering if she was visiting during a certain time during farming season or something. You have to bring your own linens and soap/toiletries, and we brought our own pillows and blankets as well. Otherwise, the kitchen is nicely stocked with all kinds of cookware and dishes. There is heat in the cabins, and we were completely comfortable at night and all slept amazingly well. The furniture is all a little old, and we did air out the cabin because it had a slight mildew smell, but that was fine by us. Like I said already, this is a place to stay for non-fussy people. I have posted some photos so people can get a sense of the place. For $ 80 a night, this place a real deal if you’re looking for a non-pretentious spot to relax and access Kettle Moraine. Also, there is a bar called Monkey Business right in the middle of everything. It’s a cute little place filled with friendly locals. The owner of the resort, who also tends bar, is super friendly and helpful. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. The whole place had a nice, friendly local vibe, and we could tell people had been coming here for years. Even on Saturday with the bar open until 2am, it was very quiet outside and we heard no noise from the bar at all. They will put your drink in a plastic cup so you can go and sit outside at the tables on the lake. Normally I would give this place three stars, but because everyone was so friendly and the good vibes, I give it four. We will be back.

I typically only write good reviews(I figure everyone has bad days). If I could give zero stars for this review, I would. I will not bore you with all the details of my experience with this place(though, you would have your mouth open in utter astonishment if I did). Here is the summary: Pros: They gave me a full refund and I did not stay. Cons: This is not a resort, it is trailer park with 4 cabins dispersed around the trailers. This must be the reason they do not show pictures of the grounds on their website. In the 3 conversations I had with the wife-owner, she left this out, only mentioned the beach and 4 cabins on the premises. Although dogs are welcome, what they mean is dogs can sit inside the cabin. They are not welcome on or anywhere near the beach or anywhere else on the premises. The husband-owner is a creep; I mean the kind that makes you want to shower after you talk to him. The fire pit was really just an area for trash and cigarette butts. The entire place is rundown. There is a manure smell over the entire area — This is not the fault of the establishment(I assume) No one called to confirm my deposit was received. I called them the day of my arrival and was told by the wife-owner«Oops, I thought I called you, I guess I forgot.» Don’t even waste your time considering this place.
