If you like camping on dirt, in a loud area with no privacy, and overpaying for wood, you might like this. We were told that it was the last site available, but the site next to us which was a bit grassier was empty the whole weekend. Our site was all dirt, and since it rained l, it turned into a muddy mess. For $ 32/night and $ 4.50 for a bundle of wood, they should be able to afford grass seeds. It was really noisy, no space between each site(electrical sites). Will not go back.

Okay, booked a last minute trip labor day weekend and found Hoefts Resort & Campground on Google. Called and they had one site left so we took it. After a long drive, we made it. First off, they need better signage. We found out where to sign in and received instructions to our tent site. Again, signage would work here. After turning down the wrong road we made it to our site. We had a nice site(for last minute) and didn’t require electrical or water(we tent camp.) The sites are large and really taken care of nicely. After our first night, we decided to walk around the resort. It was really A-ok. Personally, I think they crammed too many permanent spots, but we weren’t there for that anyway. They have a nice park for kids to play in with decent equipment. The resort sports a rec room, bar/lounge, and ice cream stand.(we went for the latter) Actually, pretty good. Bundled firewood was 4 bucks and ice was 2 bucks. Both reasonable in my opinion. The place needs some work for sure. But everyone there was very nice and very accommodating. They have a beach and picnic area but we didn’t visit either as the weather wasn’t conducive. All in all we were very pleased with our stay and will go back again.
