Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits

We love Popeyes much more than KFC! Starting off, the chicken is very good with lots of meat on the bones. The fries are awesome along with the corn on the cob. What really stand out are the buttery flaky biscuits that don’t need anything on them to make them yummy.
I docked 2 stars because during the most recent trip, we ordered a 12 piece meal which comes with 2 large sides. We chose corn on the cob and fries. The employee asked us to pull forward and they’d being our food out because they were waiting on corn. After approximate 5 minutes of waiting, our food was brought out. Once we got home, we learned that we only received 3 pieces of corn, so not everyone got one. I find it hard to believe a large side that accompanies a 12 piece meal only contains 3 pieces of corn…

Had a craving for some chicken.
Popeye’s chicken is always a good guilty stop. The Tenders lunch box is a pretty good deal. the chicken is always nice and juicy, and the coating has great crunch and surprisingly is never greasy. The fries have a nice spice to them.
Would choose Popeye’s over KFC anytime.

If you’d like to come to a place where you’ll wait in line forever, and then wait while a half dozen largely untrained and rude individuals prepare your lukewarm food, then come here! Otherwise, it’s probably quicker just to raise the chicken yourself and cook it on your own. This is not a place we’ll be returning to.

The honey tastes like soap. Had to ask for sauces and got attitude from the employees. Got charged for a drink, when the sign said it was included with the combo. What combo doesn’t include a drink? My friend and I ordered at the same time, and she had to wait about 20 minutes for her food, while I got mine right away. Food has never been hot, and I watch people sit in the drive thru for a solid 10 minutes before they get their food. Gave it 3 chances, and decided NO MORE!

What else can I say but I LOVE this place. Chicken is so flavorful and they have real sweet tea the house wine of the south! Great selection of sides and biscuits that will make you doubt your southern grandma! KFC who?

Always good. We usually go through the drive thru and take it home, but the dining room is okay, always a clean table. Food is fresh and hot. Only issue we’ve had (and not lately) was having to wait for them to cook more strips; never seemed to have sufficient quantities ready. That seems to have been remedied. Staff is friendly. Overall not bad for fast food.
