After being at Cutsforth’s Bar on a Wednesday night we decided we needed some food and thought this place sounded good. Service was awesome. They made sure drinks were never empty. Our food tasted good as well and we liked the environment.

Eaten here a few times. Never had great food. If you eat here, stick with the burgers. Just had a bad steak and soggy fries. Husband had tater tots that tasted like fish, wilted lettuce salad. No excuse for that. This place is capable of better.

This restaurants been around for some time it was very busy there last night. And a bit too noisy for me. With that being said the food is really good classic American fare. Have the prime rib it was done perfectly also has some fried shrimp and that was nice too. There is outside dining which would probably make it a little quieter than inside I’m probably should have done that nice size menu with a little bit of everything for everybody this restaurant is highly respected by the local community and is supported that way too.

Looking for food in an unfamiliar place and saw the Unilocal rating was high, so we gave it a try. I had the chicken enchiladas, other had the chicken sandwich. The sandwich was ok. The enchiladas were run of the mill. The waitstaff was friendly, but not that attentive. The prices were really good. If I was in the area I would try it again.

I go here quite often for lunch with a friend with severe mobility issues. The staff are always very accommodating and we have lunch and then play cribbage for an hour or so. The food is certainly not high dining but always prepared well and the service is excellent. Great lunch place.

Found ourselves here on a Saturday night after trying another newer local place down town which had NOOO seating and crappy drinks. The Wild Hare SALOON salvaged out evening which was a birthday celebration! What a great time and great food! The staff is above and beyond, hats off to whoever does the hiring there… well done! We had a couple screw ups that were no big deal at all. just the wrong stuff or extra stuff accidentally brought to our table which was no biggie. Waitress was great. food was all delicious. I ordered the prime rib french dip. so tastey! The drinks were Fabulous. we do not live int he area but that’s ok… we will return! Live music too. what more could you ask for???

We have only been here 1 time. We took my husbands parents who were visiting from out of town. The food was really good, and the service was good as well. We will definitely go back.

I was told by some coworkers to come check this place out for the burgers. I really had no idea what to expect as I didn’t check out the menu or anything ahead of time. I was hoping that being a new joint, it would have some fun dishes to try, at least an interesting burger. When we got there it was surprisingly busy for a weeknight but I guess it did just open not too long ago. So that probably had something to do with the slow and sporadic service. As soon as I looked through the menu I already knew this was a place I wouldn’t come back to, it’s basically 50s diner food but in a more fun environment with tvs. There was nothing in the menu that even hinted at creativity so we just picked 3 dishes that are generally impossible to mess up. Sadly everything that came out was less than average. The proteins were all over or under cooked, the sides lacked any finesse or seasoning and could have come from a box/microwave. The meals were basically taken home and fed to the dogs. Maybe it was because they were busy or the cooks were new but it was upsetting to see food treated that way. They get the second star for the atmosphere and friendly staff.

I am local have been for twenty seven years. My family and myself gave The Wilde Hare in oregon city I try tonight… it was ok… basically it was like Witchita but with Coopertown prices… my beer was luke warm my fries undercooked I started with a dinner salad that was made with room temp iceburg lettuce a little bit of shredded cheddar and 2 tomatoes no croutons… nothing fancy poor quality ingiedients .they can get away with this in Canby but they better bring a little more to the table here in. oregon city because. there is a lot more competition than what they have in Canby. It’s less than mediocre. Witchita, Highcliff, the still house, sharis, Ranes in main st, Bugattis, Stone cliff, I could go on… im sorry to say butttt… The Wild. Hare is out of its legue here in Ore City. unfortunatly you will end up with the same customer base that Jins had because of the location… good luck with that

Just ate at the Wild Hare, I ordered the surf and turf, it was an excellent meal, the steak(tender loin) was cooked to perfection, baked potato, veggies, salad, garlic bread. All for $ 21.50. A very good value. Very pleased.

I understand that mistakes happen, but this crew was completely unapologetic about«losing» our order then miraculously«finding» it in less than a minute. This, after we sat waiting for 20 minutes(for two salads). The sw chicken salad was supposed to have(presumably warm) grilled chicken on top. The food had obviously been sitting for quite a while, as the servers and bartender were laughing and joking around. Very young people working(?) who did not take their jobs seriously. No Bueno…

We’ve only been a couple of times but it’s been great so far. We’ve been in for breakfast and dinner, the food’s been very good, the wait staff is attentive friendly and helpful, and the interior is very comfy and cool. It’s just a nice local hangout with really good food and drink. I highly recommend it if you’re in or near Canby.

Went here just passing through town. Very casual, laid back, bar-like atmosphere. Seemed to be a «local» joint. Food was very yummy, service was a little slow but they were also pretty busy. Menu had a ton of options!

Still at 3-stars. Would be SO easy for them to reach 4 stars. Came in w brother for dinner. I asked how the Caesar dressing is. The response was«its Caesar dressing. Aren’t they all the same?» Well, no. They aren’t. I’m not a dressing snob, but would have liked a bit of opinion from someone who has dined outside of Canby. Well, the dressing was ok. Nothing special. I ordered grilled shrimp on the salad. No flavor. Could have been microwaved. My brother ordered the Fajita Wrap and enjoyed it. He likes anything he doesn’t have to cook though. Haha. His tater tots(which I find are popular in Portland –I am from San Diego, where we don’t see them as often) were pretty bland. Asking for hot sauce felt like asking for onions on watermelon. Seemed like they didn’t know why i would mess w a tater.(They didn’t even come w ketchup, although it was offered). I like this place, just don’t love it. Food is decent and prices are reasonable. An IPA in many San Diego bars is $ 6 – 7. Only $ 4.50 here. I give them an extra star just for that. Staff is friendly, perhaps could just use a bit more experience. I’ll be back, as I visit family here regularly and there aren’t many options.

Full of fun locals day and night! One of the best things about this place is the people you will meet here. Everyone is friendly, and it is not unusual to meet up with people you know — and even more likely to meet people you will be glad you met. The food is excellent and typical bar food served with a smile and generous portions. You won’t be disappointed. The drinks are very reasonable and well-made. Good beers, too. If you are a music fan, this is an unexpected great venue that strives to provide live music(cover bands and originals). Try it. You’ll like it.

Every time I am in Canby for business I stop by the wild hare for lunch. The food is always great and the service is fantastic. Tator tots instead of fries is the way to go. If you are in town don’t miss it!

The service never fails. This is the place in Canby to sit outside with friends, a glass of something delicious, good food, and, of course, the bacon-bleu cheese tots. Even if we moved out of the area, we’d stop here for the memories and to enjoy a great lunch. After coming here regularly for ten years, we’ve never been disappointed. Highly recommend, keeping in mind WH is very good at what they do: comfort food with friendly, effective service.

So I have only been here late at night, and during happy hour. The drinks are stiff and made right. The happy hour food is great and cheap, I highly recommend the tacos at 5 for $ 4.95 they’re awesome. Last night I came in and had a great bartender who told me about an awesome ginger beer they serve. Tonight I came in and had to explain the drink I had gotten. The woman didn’t know but when I explained she got right with little explanation. good food good drinks and they’re open for breakfast and have TVs for games

Only ever been here for lunch, once back in January and once this week. Wasn’t really too impressed either time. The food was mostly forgettable from my previous visit, and this time around the only thing that I really did like was the cup of chili I got. The salad I ordered came out with no avocados, when asked, they did bring me some out. However, I didn’t eat half of it bc of it was browning rather severely and just didn’t taste very fresh. For a place that charges about $ 10 for all burgers and sandwiches and $ 16 for a taco plate, I’d expect better.

The Wild Hare is one of my family’s favorite local places to eat, and I would consider it to be in the top 5 for Canby. The burgers and chicken sandwiches are quite good, and you can’t go wrong with the fries. I’ve also tried the oriental chicken wrap, which was decent; and the halibut tacos, which were just OK. I have always found the service to be friendly and attentive. We will continue to frequent this establishment.
