Yum! This place is friendly, super fresh, and delicious! I ordered the 2 piece fish and chips, the prawns, and a clam chowder. The fish was super fresh and so was shrimp. I just love everything about this place! My pup approved of the fish as well, the breaded part fell off the fish so she was able to get some! This is my go to place every time I visit cannon beach!

This is an excellent food establishment. Family and I just wanted to get some affordable food since everything else around was outrageously priced, in my frugal opinion, and we were blown away by the quality and desire for employees to get people Seated. It was packed when we went and despite being a bit hesitant, I ordered my food. It was my first time and the lady who took my order did not pressure me to hurry up. She took my order and my family and I waited and got the food. The fish and chips(fries) fell apart in your mouth when you took a bite. The condiments were good as well and my little sister loved the hamburger with cheese. I recommend this place. Oh and you may be mistaken to be with your girlfriend if your mother looks younger than she really is, so be careful haha. Thanks again.

Fish and chips are great. not over breaded and greasy you are able to taste the fish. Staff very friendly and food is underpriced. If you are throwing out your anchor anywhere near Cannon Beach you have to try Tom’s.

Fish & chips were okay but I love my fish and chips. It all started when I couldn’t find parking and an employee by the name Brandon(I think) came out to help us and find parking. He told me to find parking a couple blocks down. Bam, got it. When we got to the restaurant, he rung us up and was really helpful with answering our questions. His customer service was great. The clam chowder was really good. The Hefe beer was good. Overall I think it was good. I’d go again when I visit Cannon Beach to see the Haystack Rock

Awesome little seafood place in the middle of Cannon Beach. I tried both the clams and fish and both were excellent. Even the fries were amazing. Both the tartar and cocktail sauces were exceptionally great. I did try the clam chowder but the taste of bacon was too overpowering so you could hardly even taste the clam, so I wasn’t too impressed with it.(Seems like the Oregon Coast just can’t get New England Clam Chowder right.) Other than that, I highly recommend Tom’s!

Casual dining at a good price. The fish and chips are delicious as are the fish tacos and chowder. Fun and clean!

Tom’s hooked up my gluten-free Fish-n-Chips craving that hit walking around downtown Cannon Beach. Unlike many other places, they will grill the fish if you ask, and the fries don’t share the oil with anything else, so they’re truly gluten free. I got the three piece cod basket, and the grilled fish with tartar sauce was exactly what I wanted. The coleslaw was a little bland, but we solved that by dumping in some tartar sauce(classy, I know). It’s a counter-service place for sure, with the implied ambiance – this is not fancy dining, people. The people were friendly and helpful, the prices were right, and the quality was really good. Tom’s is a total win.

We stopped at Tom’s for a quick lunch and a beer after a morning of hiking. Friendly service and the food hit the spot! Pretty standard burger and fish & chips, but definitely tasty. This is your spot if you’re looking for a quick, no frills bite to eat.

On a day trip to Cannon Beach with our kids and we were in the mood for good clam chowder. After reading through a few reviews we decided to go to Tom’s. My husband, Grandmother, two young kids and I got there right after they opened and were one of two families there. We ordered two orders of clam strips and chips, one order of fish and chips, one side of fries and three bowls of clam chowder. Food was ready quickly and was reasonably priced. I had the clam strips and clam chowder. The clams were the best I’ve had. Ever. Crispy and seasoned perfectly. The cocktail sauce was good, as was the tartar sauce. Everyone agreed that we all should have ordered the clams, maybe even an order to go for later. The fish and chips were pretty good. We all prefer beer batter but these were a cornmeal type batter. Again, the clams were a better choice for us. The clam chowder was exactly what we wanted it to be. Creamy, full of clams and potatoes and had a comforting, buttery taste. Definitely hit the spot on a cold, rainy October day. Overall Tom’s was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very clean and got very busy, very quickly. Definitely try the chowder, a cup is only $ 2.95. Also, as we were leaving we noted that they have some excellent weeknight deals. We will be back to try out their burgers, as most of the other customers ordered those.

We stumbled on this place as we were leaving. We were a little hungry from walking along the beach and were lucky to find a parking spot right outside. We were in between lunch and dinner times because the place was somewhat deserted. Fine by me! The cashier was super friendly, almost everyone in Oregon was friendly. I appreciate that. I ordered the clams and chips and it was WONDERFUL!!! THEBEST! The best part… the prices were not outrageous, despite being in the heart of tourist town. Go there. Go there often and go back again next year.

We came here after receiving a gift card to this restaurant from our hotel. The reviews really rate this place lower than I have. What I recommend eating: Clams and chip Shrimp Caesar Clam Chowder Otherwise, the place is clean and service is prompt. It’s very similar to Ecola’s, but a notch higher at same prices.

Our son dragged us in here a bit under protest. It didn’t look like it could offer anything very good, so why go, right? Boy, am I glad he dragged us in! The service is polite and efficient. The food comes out very fast, so even if the line is long, no worries. So about the food… We had the fish and chips. Very Good. The fish Tacos. Good. The Clam Chowder. Ok. The Blackened Salmon Caesar Salad, Fabulous! the salmon was so tender and moist. I had to sit back in surprise. I wasn’t expecting that! It was a great lunch, and Id gladly go again.

Good fish and chips. The coating on the fish was super light and not greasy. The fish inside is moist(and not greasy). Burgers were just OK according to my husband — so I can’t really say this is where to go for that, but go for the fish and chips! Seating is a challenge in peak times, and this isn’t a restaurant with«service» — you order, get a number, you are called. Don’t expect fru fru — but do expect good fish and chips.

Good fish and chips — family of 4 ordered 3 fish and chips, 1 burger, 1 chowder. Burger was below average, fish was really good(not beer batter greasy!), chowder was average(not much flavor). Woman who hands out fish and calls out orders could use a hug(doesn’t smile, short answers to questions). Seating is a challenge — we ended up finding a place on stools along windows, sitting side to side as no tables were available(I counted 5 tables in the restaurant, so be prepared to do takeout or sit on stools). Overall — good food, fast service, serve yourself refillable coke products(nice!), clean, could use a little more maintenance during busy times(both ketchup bottles were empty along our«table» — customers to left of us and my family had to go scout for more ketchup). Prices were $ 10−15/person, so you’re looking at $ 60 or so for family of 4.

I enjoyed the fish and chips but my family thought it lacked flavor. I salted up the fish and fries and had no regrets. I liked the coleslaw. Super clean and cute.

We stopped in here because we were hungry, and it was one of the few places with available outdoor seating so the dog could hang out with us. The tables aren’t much, but they’re covered, which was nice since it was drizzling the night we went. The service is pretty basic — order at the counter, they bring it out to your table. But the food arrived quickly, and it was hot and tasty — we had the fish and chips and shrimp and chips. All in all, it was nothing fancy, but pleasant enough and reasonable for the price.

Compared to the other places in Cannon Beach, this is the only place that was affordable and in the correct price range. Pretty much all the other restaurants we looked at were extremely over priced so we settled on Toms. This place makes me think of an upscale Long John Silvers. I got the 2 piece fish’n’chips with a cup of clam chowder; my partner got a chicken sandwich and fish tacos. Food was pretty average. Nothing spectacular but was all filling and the customer service was really great. I de finely recommend this place.

I was in the area and wanted some fish and chips and clam chowder, and hey, the name was right. I got lucky and the place opened up earlier than indicated on my Unilocal app. I kind of like this place. Reasonably priced food, especially considering the usual tourist town pricing you get. So I got the fish and chips and a bowl of chowder. The fish, well, I’ve had better. For some reason, it seemed tough to me(not sure how you do that deep frying fish). So either old, or overcooked, previously frozen? It was a really thin batter on it. So, it wasn’t greasy, but I like a bit thicker coating. Fries were pretty good, but come seasoned. The chowder was fair. Tasted pretty good, but I like my chowder to be thick and creamy. This one, not so thick. Kind of cool that the meal came out on pizza pan trays. Looked new and not dented or bent, so it makes me think the place is fairly new to the scene. The customer service at the counter was pretty good. Cashier interacted with some kids that came in and in a neat way.
