Blaze is the best of the fast pizza chains. The pizza is consistently good and the inrediants and options are a bit more upscale than the other similar chains. This paricular location is clean and easy to get to to. There’s plenty of parking in the Topanga garage and it’s nice to be able to walk around the mall before or after dinner. In a way it’s a hidden gem in Woodland Hills/Canoga Park. I recommend the spicy red sauce and the sauteed onions.

The pizza overall tastes really good. The crust and sauce are waaay better than PizzaRev; but PizzaRev offers turkey pepperoni. A lot of people don’t eat pork. I would have given 5 stars, but the workers could keep the place tidier. Yes, we will go back.

I placed my order on the app. They don’t put the pizza into the oven until you’ve arrived. After the pizza was put in to cook– I was told that they ran out of mushrooms. I think it would have been better to let you know before it goes into the oven, just in case you decide to add another topping — if they’re out of something.

Alright so I was in Topanga Mall and saw this pizza place and needed to try. However I was somewhat disappointed. We paid for the unlimited toppings($ 8.25) but the guy who was putting our toppings on barely put anything on! When I want cheese I dont want to have only half of the red sauce covered, same with pepperoni(only covered ¼ of the pizza). Crust was good but I will not be returning since they dont put on your toppings that you ask for! I even asked for more cheese 3TIMES and he said ok and put like 2 more strands of cheese on. No thanks!

There are a lot of the build-your-own pizza chains out and about in Los Angeles. None of them really live up to Blaze, especially 800 degrees. Where Blaze truly succeeds is their dough — I’m not sure exactly what the difference is, but it holds up really well, even when there are excessive amounts of toppings, and the outer crust/handle is actually existent and tastes super delicious. They do actually have gluten-free dough as well! Sauces are pretty well-varied, though I think the spicy marinara is my personal favorite, because it adds some slight heat without overwhelming the pizza(that’s what crushed chili flakes are for!) Cheeses come in all different versions — vegan, ovalini/mozzarella, parmesan, goat cheese, ricotta, etc. Plenty different protein options, as well as veggies and final touches after the pizza’s been cooked(arugula, balsamic glaze). It takes almost no time for your pizza to cook, which is fabulous when you’re starving. Blaze offers some small salad options that are a nice little accompaniment to your pizza. I usually share a full pizza with my fiancé and we split a salad, which works out perfectly! They do serve wine(in the small mini bottles) as well as beer, at this location, which is kind of a must-have with pizza! I do have to mention, though, that if you do have room for dessert, you need to get their smore cookie thing. It is such a great contrast to the pizza — I really didn’t want to share a bite. Customer service is also really fabulous, considering its a fast-food chain in the mall. The line goes by very quickly, the employees answer questions kindly, and there is an actual air of happiness from the staff. It may just be what is expected of them, but it does make a simple meal at the mall much more pleasant than anywhere else in the food court. When I’m hungry in the mall, I almost always go to Blaze, because even with a longer line, there is always somewhere to sit, and your pizza comes out quickly + delicious, for a super reasonable price — even if you splurge on a beer(which is pretty modest here, like $ 4)!

Watch out Pizza Rev! Blaze pizza kicked it up a notch. I wanted to give this place a try and I’m glad we did. It’s a pretty big place, it’s very similar to most create your own pizza places. The staff is friendly right when you walk in. The selection of sauces, meats and veggies is pretty big. I did notice something a little different with their pizza here. When then use the pressure machine to squash your pizza dough, it has the extra crust on the edges that is raised a little, so that your can grab the pizza. Also their pizza dough/crust has a very pleasant taste which is a plus. I’m a huge pizza fan and finding the best pizza is gonna be part of my life forever :) but I gotta say blaze pizza is on the top of my pizza list as of the date I wrote this review. I loaded my pizza with a bunch of toppings. I go nuts with how much I put on my pizza :) They also have salads that are pre made as well. I did not get one, but I did notice that many other customers were grabbing the salads with their pizzaz. I will get the salad next time I’m come back. 5 stars!

I love going to this blaze location at the mall. Besides the fact that I love their pizzas because if their different toppings and fast service, I really enjoy their customer service. All the employees are very welcome and friendly. Specially one of the girls that I always try to go her. I’m vegetarian and she always takes care of me with that. She knows that she needs to change her gloves and use a different boars as well as a clean pizza cutter. It feels so good when you know you are being taking care of and someone is paying attention to your needs. This is my favorite place to eat at this mall.

Delicious, perfectly priced made to order personal pizzas. $ 8 for a pizza with whatever you want on it? Yeah, I’m down! Because this is in the mall, lines can back up. Seating can also be a bit tricky depending on what time you decide to eat. They also don’t have a good PA system so if you’re sitting on the patio, it can be very difficult to hear you name called. I would just sit somewhere where you can see the counter & look for when people who were in front of you get their pizza. That way you know when to maybe move up to the counter.

Second time at blaze. It has a very nice ambiance and plenty of seating. Being right next to the parking lot(if you can find a space that close) is a plus. I ordered a build your own pizza, loaded it up with 3 cheese and plenty of meat. Unfortunately when I recieved my pizza the dough was very most and did not have the consistency of being fully cooked. My parents said the same about the pizza they shared. Very disappointed that their fast for was a little too fast that our pizzas were not cooked properly. Now my tummy hurts :(

*Update* MIREYA. The same employee who accidentally dropped my son’s pizza in my previous review is our favorite! She’s always so sweet with the biggest smile on her face. My son says she’s his girlfriend. lol.

Blaze is by far my favorite create your own pizza place! The process is efficient, the prices are good, and the service is always friendly! The create your own is $ 7.95 for unlimited toppings which is definitely the best value. They have a lot of premade options as well but I’ve never ordered one. The employees are always welcome and willing to help. My boyfriend likes different things on each half of his pizza and they always accommodate his order. The ingredients are fresh and the variety of toppings is huge. The pizza cooks really fast in the oven so it’s really convenient for a quick lunch in the mall. There is a ton of seating so it’s never a problem finding a table. Blaze is probably the best place to eat in the mall. I wish there was a free standing location nearby, I would probably go even more often!

Great place to get a custom made pizza. It is flatbread style and you can get any topping on your pizza. Once made it goes into the blaze oven for a couple of minutes and magically your pizza is called out with your name when it is ready. If your not in the mood to create your own blaze has a couple of signature pizza to choose from. I tried the bbq chicken pizza. It was just as good as my custom ordered one. Customer service was also excellent. One of the workers there came over to my table and asked how everything was. Two thumbs up for me!!! I recommend to try a S’more pie.

I’ve heard so many good things about this place and I’m glad I finally got to try it. I absolutely love the pizza here and think it’s such a bargain to get so many toppings for such a cheap price. I really liked the whole cloves of garlic you can add to the pizza. My favorite toppings included goat cheese and the sausage. Don’t forget to mix your sauces! There was really friendly service. I mean how many places have their employees walk around to see if you need a refill on your soda?!

Saturday Morning Shopping done… Next in line was Lunch! This place is located at the Topanga Mall(not the food court) It’s located downstairs at Level One. Your typical Pizza Rev and Pieology concept. Artisan ingredients on the assembly line. You pick your ingredients and they add them to your pizza. They also have Signature pizza, which you pick from their list. You may add more toppings if you wish for. I had the White Top(white cream sauce with mozzarella, applewood bacon, chopped garlic, oregano, arugula) and I added pepperoni. They carry per-made salads as well! They look really yummy! Next on my list for next time! The service okay, they called out my name and I went to pick it up. May-be consider bringing the pizza to your customers instead of having a bunch of people standing around the pick up location. The location is pretty big, clean and modern. Will I return? Not Sure?

Went here with my husband for a late dinner and I was very pleased. Now mind you, it IS similar to all those custom pizza places like PizzaRev and Pieology, so it’s not exactly a new concept. However, I gave them 5 stars because THEYHAVEFRESHBASIL and FRESH buffalo Mozzarella cheese! When I saw them, i decided to make my own margherita pizza! They’re flexible with their toppings, so don’t be shy and ask for more. I added pepperoni bc I just love it. I HAVE to have pepperoni on my pizza! I got extra buffalo mozzarella and lots of fresh basil. OHMYGOODNESSSODELISH! The pizza is 11.5 inches, which I think is pretty standard for these types of places. I really loved their red sauce as well, super tasty. My husband loved the crust as well. Great deal too! We got 2 pizzas and a drink for $ 17!

Another pizza joint in the valley. The competition just gets better and better for us customers. The price for a pie just $ 7.95 for all your topping and most of you watch them make it. The concept is just like their other major competitors. In this industry you must be better than the other competitors I would do something different that stands out. Maybe go to a semi-full service, since your located in a mall setting. As your customers are seated, maybe bring your order to them. Put and additional employee during your peek hours. Give them that wow type of service. Maybe have a employee dressed as or in a costume or a blazed pizza. For the most part the location was clean. Thanks bobby for your service. Good job. 2015 Unilocal Challenge.096/100

I usually save the 5 stars for the best food, but Blaze deserves a 5 star review because it’s the best build your own pizza establishment around. I have been to pieology & pizzarev. Both fall in comparison to blaze. Blaze pizza start with 5 different sauce options. You can even do half sauces. Ex: I do half spicy tomato/half BBQ. With each build your own, you get various topping options that are fun to play with. Creating unique pizzas that probably Only you will like. What makes Blaze better then the rest is sizing & quality. blaze pizzas are sized big to fill the average male, while eating at a competitor like pizzarev, I tend to feel unsatisfied with the portion. Both are priced the same so pizzarev has no excuses. The quality of toppings, cheeses, and meats are great! I think its most important when eating at a pizza establishment. While Blaze is not the best pizza I have had, it is the best in the type of restaurant that it is. I really enjoy going here and every time I look at similar establishments, I just wish I could go here lol

My favorite pizza place at the Topanga Mall!!! Delicious thin, crispy crust pizza made in 10 minutes. The pizzas are about 12″ in diameter and the crust just melts in your mouth. I also love their goat cheese beet salad, the dressing is phenomenal!!! I asked if they cater and unfortunately they don’t, once they do I know where I will be going to get pizza’s for my parties!

What a fun make your own pizza place. Lots of fresh choices to add or simply order one of their pre made pizzas! The crust is really good. Thin ~ almost cracker style and tossed into a quick fire oven. When we got our pizzas the crust appeared burnt, but it wasn’t. It must be the oven that makes the bottom appear burnt. Definitely would go back!

JUSTBLAAAAAAZZEE!!! Props if you get the reference, anyway… (+) Unique and interesting topping options that I noticed(compared to similar places like Pizza Rev & Pieology) were salami, smoked ham, arugula, cherry tomatoes, sauteed onions, & ovalini mozarella. (+) Taste was okay, not amazing not terrible… may need to come back again and update my review for a final verdict. To be fair, I was feeling kind of sick when I came here for lunch so my taste buds could’ve been off. Crust seemed above average. (+) Line was fast and they have plenty of staff, pretty cookie cutter setup like similar quick fire pizza places. (-) Somehow they messed up my dough or something so they had to re-make my pizza?!? One of the workers had to come find me at my table and ask what I put on my order so they could rebuild it. I’m sure it happens once in awhile and they were nice about it. Had to wait longer but they brought it over once it was done. (-) They call out names and you have to listen near the final prep/boxing station to pick it up, Crowd of folks waiting can get pretty large and clog up the line of people paying and trying to get through. Other places have staff deliver it to your table which is much more convenient. (-) No custom make-your-own salads, only pre-made packaged ones =/
