Stepped in for the first time and was welcomed by «cubicles» at the end of the store and iPads lined on the left side. Not something you see at most, if not any, restaurant. There was no one to greet me once I entered and im not sure if they have a written guide either but if it’s your first time and planning on making a trip to eatsa, here’s what you do: Step 1 — walk up to any iPad of choice and place your order. They have a few bowls to choose from or you can customize your own. Fair warning, there are a lot of options when you choose to customize so you may take a while. At least I did… until I gave up and settled for a premade(?) bowl. Step 2 — wait for your name to be displayed on any one of the cubicle screens and tada! Food is served. I ordered the Spice Market Bowl and enjoyed it, although it didn’t look quite as pretty as the picture. Ironically, I’m not a fan of curry but I think everything in the bowl was well flavored, they all just balanced each other out and there was a good variation of texture. I like how you get the softness of the yams with the crunch of(what I think are) crispy chick peas and you have the quinoa and pita bread to neutralize the strong curry flavor. The price value is very good for what you get. There was a good amount of food for only $ 7~! I love the futuristic vibe of the place. Will definitely go back to try different things! Also, I don’t know how busy it gets during lunch or dinner time but they don’t have that many tables.

Ordering food here is an experience of its own! Seriously, I feel like I’m in the future when I watch the cubicles do their thing. Everything is vegetarian & coming from a carnivore, it’s really good here! However, last time I came here it was end of May & I was dying of heat since all the seats & tables were located outside. Literally, it was 98 degrees…

I visit at least once a week and the portions have become smaller since they first opened. I hope that they don’t lose customers because I’m sure someone else may notice the same.

Man, Eatsa is good. I got a customized bowl with quinoa, potatoes, guacamole, corn and fried onion strips. It was good, considering I don’t like quinoa! My only flaw is that the quinoa had this herb-y taste that I didn’t like. Also, the potato chips are the bomb. They’re so so so good and made right there in the resturaunt! And the citrus drink thing is so good, it’s like a soda but not too sweet. Really good. Def coming back!

Let me preface this by saying I’m NOT a vegetarian. Not even close. In fact, probably the opposite. However this place knocked my socks off. It’s basically a vegetarian Chipotle for people who hate any human interaction. You place your very customizable bowl order on their iPads, then a few minutes later, your food will be ready in one of the clear glass pods. You double click and grab your food. Magic. The good: completely customize your bowl. Don’t need to talk to a single soul. Ingredients seem fresh. Everything we tried was tasty and well seasoned. The bad: you don’t see anyone. You have no idea who or what is putting your food together, or what they’re doing to it. Since it’s all digital, may be not intuitive for the elderly and definitely not for people with no fingers.

Eatsa is a high tech fast-casual spot that’s perfect for lunch! It’s healthy, affordable, quick, and most importantly, delicious! When I first heard about Eatsa and its cool computerized eatery concept, I was skeptical because most«cool» concepts quickly die out after the hype ends, but everything was very well-executed. You first walk in and order on an iPad. There are 8 different chef-made bowls where you can customize or build your own. Ordering is quick and easy, you check out and wait at the front for the big screen to pop your name up. There are about 18 cubbies that look like mocrowaves and when your name appears on it, you double tap it to open the box and get your meal. Super simple! I don’t trust myself making my own so I went with the Mediterranean bowl! The bowls come with a base of quinoa, and mine had chickpeas, tomatoes, cucumbers, chips, arugula, and tzaziki sauce. Everything was flavorful and delicious! It was so good I came back in a couple days to try different bowl :-) The burrito bowl is AMAZING. Kinda similar to Chipotle, it came with quinoa, guac, beans, tomatoes, chips, and sliced portabello in mild chili oil. If you’re unsure about what to order, GETTHIS. You won’t regret it. The price is very reasonable and each bowl comes out to about $ 7.50 after taxes. I can see this being the next big thing and I’m hoping they’ll expand to more LA locations! Seriously loved everything here from the food and the entire experience. This is a must-visit spot for sure!

This place a fantastic concept! Pros: * Fresh * Flavorful * Good quality * Big portions * Good price * Changeable ingredients in bowls The only thing I wish this place would do is add more dressing! It’s a big part of what makes some of these bowls so delicious. The bowls are big and there’s usually not enough dressing for the whole thing which is a bummer.

Judging on the popularity of Eatsa, I won’t risk repeating previous reviews by explaining the advanced ordering and delivery system that is unique to this restaurant. I’ll skip right to the food! My favorite dish here is the Mediterranean bowl. I love that you can choose the template recipe, alter your order to conform to your taste, or design your own bowl from scratch. I honestly didn’t even realize that this is a vegetarian or healthy restaurant until my third visit. Everything offered here is seasoned properly, marinated in amazing flavorful blends, and cooked to perfection. The specific hodge podge of items and the flavor combinations that work so well together are what keeps me coming back. I’m quite honestly addicted. I love this place! I don’t just throw around 5 star ratings. Eatsa deserves every star.

Wonderful new computerized automat eatery that serves up really tasty quinoa-based vegetable bowls. In addition, the bowls big and costs only $ 7.00. One can either order one of 8 different types of bowls offered, such as Bento Bowl and Stuffing Bowl. Or, you can be like me and order a Build Your Own Bowl, so that you can choose the ingredients you would like to eat, and the preparation. I believe you’re allowed to add 2 or 3 «toppings» to the bowl for free, and any addtional item is $ 0.75. I had stir fried quinoa with egg and beets, corn, green beans, mushroom gravy, and crispy onions. It was delicious but about $ 3 more. Wish they would expand to West Hollywood or Downtown LA, so that it’ll be much closer to my work…

I honestly love the idea of this place! It’s new and innovative. You are usually greeted at the door by someone and then you walk inside to order at the ipads. Swipe a card and there you go! Customizable quinoa bowls! You can swap or add ingredients to your liking and the price is fair! My friend and I shared a burrito bowl and couldn’t even finish it. We added spaghetti squash for funsies. Not bad ! Haha But anyway, your food comes out in these touch screen cubicles. It’ll tell you your order is ready, you double tap and wooop! The window opens and there lies your delicious food & drinks !

First of all, order separately for large orders! Otherwise it will not go thru the automated pick up area :( We got the Burrito Bowl, Savory stuffing, Bean bowl. Food was a 3.5÷5. I think I will customize my bowl next time. Mushrooms were too big for my taste but flavored well. Quinoa was good in the Bean bowl. Food portions are decent — large. All bowls cost $ 6.95 I got the mango guava drink, only $ 0.95. I’d say it’s a 3.5÷5. There are extras and sides available and you can create your own bowl. The«hot» bowl was warm. We were a group of three and ordered it all on one card. They brought out our food in bag from the back, unfortunately we didn’t know that you have to order separately on large orders to have it go thru the automated pick up area(which we were looking forward to). However, they were very friendly, apologized and gave our drinks for free. Customer service 5⁄5 No restrooms. This place has a very cool concept. Creative and innovative, hopefully more places will incorporate this technology. I will be back and order separately next time to get the full tech experience.

This place is so cool! You order your food on a tablet and when it’s ready it gets placed in a cubby. There’s a board up top with your name that tells you which cubby to check. I was planning on staring at the cubby just so I could catch someone putting it there, but I looked away at my phone for a minute and it was already magically there. Bummer… The tablet ordering system is very self explanatory and I didn’t have any problems placing my order. I had the bento bowl with miso portobellos, quinoa, edamame, wonton chips and an asian slaw. It was actually really good, generously sized and seemed healthy enough. Since I’m a chip addict, I also had to try the housemade chips which I admittedly ate all of in the car on the way home. Actually, I probably finished them off before I figured out how to get out the parking garage! If Eatsa was closer to my work, I’m sure I would be here all the time. The prices are really reasonable(about $ 7 for a bowl) and it’s nice to have healthy choices. For all the carnivores out there, just be warned that there is no meat here. Also, thanks to another Unilocaler, I learned that you need to order a bag on the tablet, which I missed and would have been helpful to have.

I found this place on Unilocal and also saw a YouTube video on CNET about this business, it is a really cool concept, very easy to do. We walked in, very small place, and you see the wall of digital lockers, 2 of them were broken. You place your order on the iPad’s against the wall, you can customize your own bowl or get the bowls they have using the ingredients they recommend. We got the Mediterranean bowl, smokehouse salad bowl and the burrito bowl, they were all really really good. I kinda wish they had some type of protein like steak or chicken, it would go great with the bowls. But I get that this is a vegan place. Food was still really good, and the prices are not bad at all, we had 3 bowls and 3 drinks for $ 25. That’s a good deal. I would recommend you give this place a try if u haven’t been here before. If you want a bag, make sure to select it on the screen when u place your order.

I was never much into the Vegetarian /Vegan lifestyle as I find meat to be an essential component of my day to day life. This isn’t to say that maybe I have tried hard enough or that I haven’t committed to it. But EATSA is one of those places that makes me get on my knees and reassess what it means to eat vegetarian food. As soon as you walk in it reminds me of the«Automat» food courts from yesteryear in New York. You walk in and are greeted by a lone greeter who is there to answer questions and such. There are a couple of Ipads that line one side of the wall and this is where the ordering takes place. Then to the other wall its a all lined with«Microwave» looking contraptions where the food appears. I ordered the NOWORRYCURRY and I must say it was absolutely dam delicious. For sure mix it up a bit to get all the sauce and veggies mixed up. I added on some portobello mushrooms and other things and it all came out to $ 12. On the pricey side, but it was so dam delicious that I cannot complain. For sure Eatsa will be one of those places on my rotation.

Ordered a burrito bowl here, it was huge and worth the $$ but it wasn’t that great in flavor. At least it was healthy, I guess. 15 min parking spots right outside.

This is located in The Village, facing Topanga Canyon. As you walk in, there will be one host to greet and assist you. There are about 7 – 8 iPADs to use to order. In order to see the menu, you have to swipe your credit card. Once that is unlocked you will see the different bowls that are available, sides, and drinks. Once you have ordered, it will prompt you to the wall next to you filled with shelves where your food will appear. Your name will appear on a window, then your food will appear in that window shelf. You have to tap twice & the door will open. So the whole concept is to save face time with customers & spend time in the kitchen with little overhead. I ordered: Burrito Bowl(I couldn’t decide that from the chili con quinoa and the Mediterranean bowl) — wasn’t a big fan of the burrito bowl. I will have to try a different one next time to make a proper assessment of the place. House made mango guava soda — very refreshing It’s definitely the restaurant of the future that grabs everyone’s attention.

I love the concept here. Healthy FAST food! You need to swipe your card in order to look at the menu on a tablet. There are a variety of bowls in which you can substitute ingredients and completely customize to your liking. Once you place your order, you wait for your name to appear in the cubbies/window area. Tap twice and voila! Grab your food and enjoy! :) I ordered the burrito bowl and it was delicious! Will definitely return!

Really cool concept that allows people to create their version of salads. I was so excited by my first time that I came back the very next day to order a custom one and picked out all of my toppings and drove all the way home to find that one of my toppings was missing(main topping which was bbq mushrooms) and I tried to find a phone number but was not able to. None of the less — great flavors and great nutritional value and wonderful for vegan and gluten free folk!

(+) Bay folks been getting hyphy for a minute about this place(original location is in SF). The«future of food» is pretty interesting. I’ve ordered my meal on a tablet/iPad before, and I’ve seen names on a TV screen with the order queue before, but the robotic prep & delivery is very unique. Just like some conveyor belt, automated sushi restaurants in Japan, we now have Eatsa in Socal. See your name flashing, go to the numbered cubby, tap and there’s fooood. (+) Price is right. Very attractive value, and the health factor is very positive. the future is bright :) (+) Customization options are very necessary and make it less robotic and allows a less pre-made feel. I like quinoa, and trying to spell it always reminds me of this old commercial (+) Limited human interaction hahaha definitely a plus sometimes. Often I just want to get my food and go! (-) Good flavor, just missing the meat. This is probably due to some pre-conditioned ‘Murican mentality but I wasn’t completely satisfied or full after eating my savory Smokehouse bowl. Maybe that mindset can change after eating here more often and living healthier too. p. s. Get the sparkling mango guava drink. Refreshing. p. p. s. Music inside was loud, which is okay since I enjoyed the playlist. Also, they need to get some high chairs for the lil’ ones that might want some quinoa bowls
