Long time Canton local greasy spoon mom & pop pizza joint with in town central location as the best thing going for it. Food is fair at best, service is gruff and the one time I asked to be accommodated a half hour early on a Saturday catering order for a youth sports event, they refused. No problem, as the streets are lined with these dime a dozen dives. OK for a quick takeout bite at 10pm when everyplace else is closed. Not much more.

We are new family to the area. We moved there in May 2015. I walk by there everyday and decided to go in a few months ago for a menu. We’ve tried a few other pizza places in the area but had not tried this one. So on Easter Sunday(yesterday), we got the spring cleaning bug and decided not to go anywhere or cook. I called both of the regular spots we used but no answer. That was understood, it was a shot in the dark. I called Apollo and was very surprised but very happy they answered. We ordered a mushroom pepperoni pizza for delivery. The woman said«30 minutes.» My bell rings 20 minutes exactly to the order being placed. Yes, I did check because I was hoping no one was randomly stopping by for dinner, thinking more than pizza was on the menu. Nope it was the delivery. The crust on the pizza was just the way we like it buttery with a soft crispy crunch. There was fresh mushrooms, not jar or can. The sauce was just enough and very tasty. Not loaded with sugar. We was very happy with our Easter Sunday meal choice. It’s now our go to spot and looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

Decent subs, never had the pizza because of lactose intolerance but all the subs I had gotten were always decent. Service was always timely and what you would expect from a place such as this.

Love the food here! They are super fast and efficient! We used to live in Canton and order from them so many times! I am now in Newton and visiting Canton so glad to see that their chicken kebob dinner recipe is as delicious as it was 6yrs ago!

Greek salad is one of the best I’ve ever had– so good! Pizza is has an airy, flaky crispy on the outside, soft on the inside crust with good sauce and cheese. Subs are good too. I love the online ordering system!

Great Italian sub and so cheap! Got a large sub, bag of chips and baklava for $ 10! 30 min from order to delivery, super easy online ordering and the delivery guy was nice and not sketchy.

The foods are not bad. I’ve ordered from here twice and the pizza and calzone weren’t that good nor bad. I actually liked the doughy pizza from Apollo. Perhaps I did not like my mushroom calzone! Its too thin and there aren’t enough ingredients and cheese in it. Overall, nothing too special but it might be better option than franchise pizza around the town! Try Hawaiian Pizza!

Ttypical Greek pizza. Never the best but always consistently good. The subs are also above average. At Apollo’s they are generous with the portions. I would not drive too far out of my way to visit Apollo Sub & Pizza but it is one of the best places in Canton. I have tried pretty much everywhere around the area and when I am in Canton I almost always end up back at Apollo.

I enjoy the pizza. I order it, it arrives hot, and it tastes good. Four stars for the pizza. The subs, on the other hand, are not worth the money. A large steak tip sub had one(ONE?) slice of cheese on it, and not enough steak tips to go from one end of the bread to the other. My boyfriend’s sub was mostly peppers and onions. The flavor was ok on the steak tips, but they were dry. Very disappointing. Not a huge issue for me, but we ordered online and included a 2-liter of Coke in the order. When we got our food, it was a 2-liter of Pepsi. They actually are different sodas, Apollo. I hesitate to say I’ll order again, but the pizza IS good, so there’s that. Nothing special, though.

Customer service is important to me especially when you work in a place where you interact with people all day. I called ahead for pick up and when I arrived the three men working there were extremely rude. I didn’t get any service until I said ‘excuse me’, but this place is tiny… it’s not like they didn’t see me! Finally, after they looked at me and went back to what they were doing, I was about to walk out and they said ‘your foods not ready yet’, well that’s all fine and all cause I don’t mind waiting but can we be more professional? Never coming back here again. Food’s mediocre anyway besides somewhat decent pizza. I got a chicken parm that was soggy and subpar

Don’t order online. Their food is fine, but their website lists all kinds of random stuff they don’t have, and rather than call you, they pick something at random(eg instead of strawberry frutopia, we got grape crush). They offered to come back and fix the mistake we cared about(we decided to let the other go) but it’s been hours and we’ve heard nothing. What is orange milk? I’ll never know. You can order it, but it doesn’t exist. Editing to add: The egg salad also gave me food poisoning for the first time ever that order. I’m not sure I’ll go back. Lowered to 1 star. I know it was that since it’s the only thing I had to eat that day and I happened to have my bloodwork done earlier that day and I didn’t have elevated white cells or anything.

Went in to order a small chicken cordon blue… the worst one I have ever had! The grilled the chicken not the cutlet style you usually get, the poured cheese which when melted became extra greasy, and wrapped a thin slice of ham on an untoasted bread. By the time I got home it was nothing nut moosh because of the steam from the hot filling and extra grease! Dissapointed I took one bite and threw out the rest!

This place is a rip off! I got food from here the first day I moved to the area. I orders 2 large pizzas and a bottle of soda for me and my friends that helped me move. What i received was two medium sized pizzas billed as a large which cost me over $ 30 and the pizza was half cooked with the cheese falling off when I picked up a slice. I’ll choose Pizza Hut over this place in the future.

Three stars is a perfect rating for Apollo I believe. We started getting delivery from them at work when a co-worker from Canton suggested we check them out. The pizzas are decent and they are still warm when they get to you, the fries are yummy, and the calzones are good. Its nothing magical, but its a good local pizza place to grab some food from. I don’t think I would get food from there if I wasn’t at work though.

We’ve been getting take out here ever since we’ve moved to Canton(2 years and 9 months ago). We usually order subs but occasionally we’ll get pizza, Greek salad and buffalo chicken calzones. The subs are very good here. If you want chicken cutlet sub ask for cutlet and not the chicken fingers. The first time I ordered it, the guy on the phone told me it tastes better so obviously I listened to him. Their steak and cheese is decent as well as their Italian subs. I think in the past they used thicker cuts of the deli meat which I am not a fan of. The last time we ordered an Italian sub, the deli meat was thinner which was much better, especially since there’s like 3 – 5 different types of deli meat. I will say though there are many times I ask for extra pickles or hots or even lettuce and tomato on my subs and they totally forget to add it. That gets frustrating when you come home and realize it’s not the sub you ordered(even though they repeat the order back to you on the phone). The pizza is your standard chewy bread, cheesy pizza shop type of pizza. If you’re looking for Town Spa(in Stoughton) or Papa Gino type of pizza then this not the place to order it. The friendiless of the guys that work here can vary… depending on who it is, I guess how busy they are and maybe how their day is going. Usually they are nice but sometimes some of them can be a little short with you… but whatever. As long as I get my order(made with all the veggies I asked for) I’m happy to be in and out of the joint so I can enjoy my food back at the house.

Dear Apollo. I sincerely love your pizza. I really really do. But how do you mess up an order for a steak and cheese sub with peppers and NO onions?! Was I not clear? I was not pleased to get my steak and cheese sandwich, with semi dried steak, little cheese, no peppers AND onions. It’s not like you were super busy so I could excuse the miscommunication. So disappointed :(

my family and i have normally ordered from this pizza place. however, never again. In the pizza pies there were broken pieces of plastic cooked in the pizza. now my teeth are fairly strong, but I could have broken my teeth as a result. i understand that mistakes can be made, however, after calling the place to let them know of the problem, the night manager gave such an attitude. i work in a customer service oriented company, and this guy does not know a single thing about that. i paid for food, and i should have gotten what i paid for. I repeat, Unilocal-ers, do NOTEVERORDERFROMTHISPLACEUNLESSYOUWANTOVER-PRICEDTERRIBLEFOOD.

This West Coast girl never had a good meatball sub until she got one from Apollo. Those other meatball subs that I *thought* were good, are history. When we visit family in Canton, inevitably, we end up getting subs to go from here for at least one night of our stay, and it is usually one of my favorite meals of the trip. I’ve never eaten at the place, so I can’t speak to how it is for that service, but the subs are good. Honestly, I haven’t had anything else from this place besides the meatball sub and chicken parm – I love both.

Having been a resident of Canton in one way or another for nearly my entire life there are generally two kinds of pizza in town. Apollo and D&E. There are other pizza joints(not to mention the typical Papa Johns, Papa Ginos, Dominos) but these are the two that everyone in town knows. Apollo is your typical Greek place. The pizza is typical of that style. Light fluffyish crust, light on sauce, good amount of cheese. I never had anything other than pizza but friends have spoken well of the other food(subs, burgers, etc). They’re polite on the phone and true to their time on delivery. Price is reasonable. All in all a decent place for a pizza.
