I will start with something nice: the mac & cheese bites and jalapeño poppers were great. The service was shamefully bad. The employee running the counter charged our debit card twice. My fiancé noticed at home and he called back to sort it out. Not only was he told there was nothing they could do, but he was flat out yelled at by an employee. The person on the phone was appallingly rude, more or less accused us of lying, and hung up on us in mid sentence. We are waiting for a call back from the restaurant, and will be contacting the local police department if necessary. We live right around the corner and order take out frequently. After this experience we will never order from D&E again.

Ordered a meatball sub with extra sauce, extra pickles, and extra cheese. What I got was no sauce at all on the sub. I had to take it back and they argued with me telling me that the sauce was all in the meatballs. However, there was no hint of sauce in any meat ball or anywhere else in the sub. It was as though they made small round hamburgers thrown on a sub roll with some cheese, hardly any pickles on dry bread. They use to make terrific subs but no more. I don’t know if there has been a change in management but there has been a change in the quality of the food. This was my last visit.

Sorry D&E, but it’s you, not me. Yes, I am breaking up with you via Unilocal review despite being a regular customer for years. After a noticeable decline in quality over the past few months, I hopefully ordered from you one last time. Delivery came quickly — great! But that’s where the greatness ended. Let’s have a play-by-play of the event: 1. Delivery guy came and bf noticed that the credit card slip was the customer copy. He asked for the merchant copy and the guy said he’d «take care of filling it out.» What?! Who does that? 2. Opened the subs(two tuna subs) and the order of onion rings. Noticed that apparently D&E has hired Helen Keller as a prep cook, because: –The vegetables on the sub varied from too large to put in my mouth to perfect, tiny little slivers that would pass for a julienne(but I attributed to random luck, not culinary prowess). –The onions on the onion rings weren’t peeled enough. I’m being serious. Helen Keller left too much outer peel on, which was super fibrous and inedible. The rings were also super thick and gigantic, with some being soggy and some being over crisp(probably due to varying thicknesses/sizes). –The amount of tuna spread onto the sub was appalling. Notice the word«spread» — not scooped or placed — because I’ve seen people spread more butter on a roll than there was tuna, the main element of this sub. That’s it for the recap. I’m really sorry that it had to come to this, because as far as I was concerned for the past 5+ years, D&E has made the best tuna sub around. I get it — I get that tuna is expensive(I’ve managed a restaurant), especially this time of the year. But charge me a little extra so I can get the product I’m used to. D&E, you really dropped the ball. But I hope you can pick it up — let me know when Helen Keller has been retrained and you’re as generous as a Greek yiayia with your portions again. I’ll be the first to order. Hope we can work things out, MO

Love the owners. Great people. Always nice when a pizza place has fast efficient delivery. However would steer clear of the French fries if your not into soggy fries. Thanks!

This review is about their pizza, and it is delicious! I ran in to grab a quick slice of pizza. The man behind the counter was so nice and gave me two slices of cheese for the price of one! Then upon leaving, another man who I believe to be the owner thanked me for coming in and said ‘have a nice night’. It’s these little things that makes me want to come back to this place! I ate the pizza on my ride home and it was so yummy, I wish I ordered more! Definitely recommend trying this place!

Sorry, I am disappointed. Steak and cheese subs are good, but not mindblowing, so we figured we’d try some other stuff. Two weeks in a row, we were told that they ran out of steak tips. Perhaps if you are running out of steak tips by Sunday every week, you should order more steak tips. So we got a pizza — Mac and Cheese Delight, adding bacon to the pie for an additional $ 2. This pizza was bad. It was boiled shells pasta topped with melted cheese. It was dry and flavorless, and for two dollars, we got less than one slice of bacon. No, really, we pulled the pieces off of the pizza and lined them up. It was less than one slice. You charged us two dollars for the thought of bacon? Rip off. Maybe their other pizzas are better, but I don’t think we’ll be giving them any more chances.

Very good subs here. The workers are nice, and the other food is also solid. Salads, and sides are solid. Calzones are the best around. Only reason it’s not a 5 is they changed the marinara sauce a few years back. So I’m comparing it against itself when I took the one star away. But great spot

This place has been here forever. The current owner has had it for at least 15 years. He is a local who takes pride in his work and his home town. The pepper steak subs are the best in the area. The pizza, either Italian or Greek is the best in the area as well. Clean as whistle and a very friendly staff. I checked good for groups because they can handle any large order going to a corporation.

We order from here pretty often(most recently 3÷2÷14). I am a pizza snob from the metro NY/Northern NJ area so I have high standards for pizza. The Italian-style pizza is pretty comparable to my NJ hometown pizza, so it’s what I prefer, but I will eat the Greek, too.(Friends of ours prefer that and are pretty regular customers, too.) Haven’t explored too much else on the menu other than fries(also good). And yes, the staff is very nice(phone/order manners, delivery, etc.)

A canton land mark. If you grew up here you LOVE this place. If you just moved here you should try it. Food is great. Prices are good.

Pizza had so much cheese, just looked like one sheet of cheese. Not a lot of sauce either and it did not look appetizing at all. My children who normally love pizza took a few bites and did not want to eat the rest. I went there after viewing the reviews but I would not recommend at all.

While this might not be the best pizza you have ever had in your life, for Canton, MA it’s pretty great. I like the Italian style the best, but all of it has better crust than other pizza joints in town. I hate that they don’t have an online menu or a website at all, but I get over it because they have the same menu as every other pizza place in the state.

I continue to try different pizza places in Canton hoping to find the best. D&E is far from the best. I ordered a cheese pizza, which was mediocre at best. I also ordered a ziti and sausage baked with mozzarella. The sausage was burned, dried out, and tasted horrible. I ended up throwing most of the order away. I won’t ever be back and wish I had my $ 20 back for this horrible experience.

We just moved to Canton recently, and have been in search of a go-to pizza place. I had held off on ordering from D+E, as they didn’t have a menu online and we didn’t know much about that. Finally decided to stop in and order takeout. Bunch of really nice guys who work there chatted us up a bit. Pizzas were good, we got a thicker crust style, though I think they serve a more Italian style as well. Linguica pizza was nice, had a good spicy kick to it. And most importantly(for the husband), their crispy fries were nice and crispy. There’s nothing worse than sad, soggy fries. I grew up in NY and know my pizza, and I’m a happy girl. Finding a pizza place in town: complete!

Looks like a run down little place but the subs they make are really good. The guys that work there are really nice. All the portions are huge, even if you get the smalls

Still the best pizza in Canton, but the Italian subs are what really make this place special.

Pizza was horrible! My boyfriend and I recently moved to the Canton. We decided to try out D&E as a first choice based on the reviews. Big mistake! I got a mushrooms and green pepper pizza. My boyfriend got a pepperoni pizza. My pizza looked yummy until I tried cutting the slices apart. The thick cheese stuck to the cardboard and fell off the pizza along with the veggies. Dough was all that was left. I did not enjoy eating only crust and large globs of cheese in piles . NOT a ounce of sauce on the pizza! I did not order white pizzas. I wont go back there again. Next please.

Okay so the cheesesteak is so good here that it’s the only thing I’ve ever ordered. Sure, I’ve wanted to try the pizza or the wings or the other subs… but I haven’t. Good thing I moved away. My ateries couldn’t take it.
