Today’s visit was not typical. One new person, possibly first day working with a veteran. I arrived about 8:30 am and while I had a short wait for my normal order I did not receive my normal bagel combination. I also used a free muffin that I had in my loyalty program and found the banana nut to be dry and a slight off taste. Everyone following me ordered sandwiches which seemed to stress both of the gals. While I can appreciate multi tasking employees those that make the fresh products in back should not come to the service line dirty. This makes for an unprofessional presentation of the business as does the garden of weeds growing in the dirt on both sides of the front door. Lastly I’m not sure why this establishment advertises a quality product for its smoothie program like island Oasis but serves its guest a lesser quality product made by «Jet»

I love their cream cheese which is why I have always gone there but today I was there around 9 am and I was shocked as to how dirty it was. The rugs and floors were disgustingly dirty. Food and crumbs on some tables and chairs. With Einsteins down the street I think I’m done going here. Sad because I like supporting local businesses but cleanliness is a priority when food is involved!

Got bagels from here. Hated them. Very dry and not chewy. Yuck. Not much of a selection either.

They have THEBEST hazelnut coffee. Looking back at the older reviews it appears they used to have a staffing issue. That isn’t the case anymore! They’re friendly and rather quick. I feel like people forget that food isn’t instant — especially if there is a sandwich or two ordered before yours. The bagels are phenomenonal. Every time I go somewhere else I am left disappointed. They’re on point.

Big Apple Bagels is one of my favorite bagel chains! I cam yesterday to pick up a half dozen and some cream cheese. They were getting kind of low when I came in at around 9, but it was Mothers Day and I think that had a lot to do with it. I ended up getting 6 savory bagels(what I would have gotten anyway). I In addition to bagels, they have bagels sandwiches, muffins, mini muffins(which looked really good, especialy the ones topped with mini pieces of oreo), coffee and soup. I thought the bagels were a tad underdone, but were good none the less. I reccomend the bagels chips they sell! Service was friendly and quick!

This is a great little place. Run in and out, fast friendly service, I’ve never waited more than a minute or two. Plus the bagels and coffee… yum, so good. The kids that work the counter are adorable and the owner has always been nothing but pleasant to me. They have a fun trivia game above the door to the kitchen that if you answer correctly you get a free mini muffin. The questions are usually easy or silly. Once I had to sing happy birthday to the girl at the counter to win. Too funny!

I’m a huge fan of Big Apple Bagels, and this was my first time in this one. I went for my standby of a Southern Tradition on a Salt bagel. It was heavenly; warm, chewy, and delicious. My brother said his BLT bagel was excellent too. I was disappointed that the check in offer that says 50% after 4PM is no good, since they close no later than 2:00PM on any given day.

We like have a bagel place in the neighborhood; however I agree with most of the reviews. I hope their service and staff improves soon… Here are my observations: Cons: — Staff(not very attentive or friendly. I found that one guy(I think the owner) to be annoyed by the customers and overall indifferent. — Price — overall not a good value for what you get. Plus the premium bagels were not clearly marked. — Coffee — I admit I am a coffee snob but their coffee is horrid. Watery, tasteless but hot. I tried 4 different times but it never gets better. So I have to drive to my favorite coffee shop after I pick up my bagel or settle for juice. What a shame and waste of time. — Service — we were the only customers in the building and ordered two toasted bagels with cream cheese to-go and it took us 15 minutes. Plus this appeared to be the norm… Pros: — Good location — Tasty bagels — Clean dining room

If you are looking for a good place to get a bagel, this is the place. Although, the bagels are not boiled, they are steamed prior to baking which makes them taste great. Much better than Dunkin Donuts or Einsteins. The store is cozy and a nice place to hang out.

I used to like the food here when this Big Apple Bagel first opened, however, I just went here again after about a year and things have gone downhill :(They used to have delicious garlic bagels with lots of garlic on the outside, then they started baking the garlic into the dough(which kind of dulled the flavor). Today my garlic bagel barely had any garlic in it at all and a very bland taste. They also used to have great Jalapeño Cheddar Cream Cheese but today it was a strange yellow color and tasted like a mixture of mustard, butter, and maybe a little plain cream cheese. However, my biggest complaint with this place is that there is an adult male who always seems to be in there, who I assume is the owner, who makes me feel really unwelcome and uncomfortable. He just sort of stares and me and the other patrons, never smiles. He does not have the warmth, enthusiasm or friendliness needed to be a business owner(at least not one who is always hanging out in the store). The teenagers who work there are okay but it’s a bit annoying because you can hear them chatting and goofing around the whole time. Overall there is just a lack of friendliness and professionalism pared with now very sub-par food. I will not be returning. I hope the owner reads this and makes the changes needed to gain more business. Good luck to you sir!

I’ve been the BAB many times. I have no issue with the food — neither great nor horrible. My biggest issue is with the service. It is horrendously slow. I’ve learned to never go there if I need to get out quickly. On multiple occasions I’ve walked in and left when the(not large) line didn’t move. I stopped in yesterday having a few minutes before an appointment hoping to get a quick bite. I walked in and was optimistic — there was just one person already ordering in front of me. 15 minutes later I walked out with a simple bagel and cream cheese… and late for my appointment.

I received quick service and the prices are reasonable. I love the Asiago cheese bagels from Panera, and the one I got from Big Apple Bagels was even better! I’d definitely go back. I didn’t try the mini muffins but they looked fantastic. My coworkers who also got coffee enjoyed their coffee.

Stopped by in the morning & there was one other customer seemingly waiting on her order to be filled. Although I saw two employees in the back, nobody acknowledged me. I waited about 10 minutes and left. Customer service = zero stars.

This place is very convenient, offers TV viewing, Wi-Fi, and places to sit for socializing with a coffee and muffin. Seems like muffins have almost been upstaged by the latest cupcake craze, but – call me old-fashioned – these muffins are a better deal all the way around: larger, hardier, less expensive, and they taste like they’re lighter on the sugar quotient. The chocolate, lemon poppyseed and streusel muffies are amazing, and the mini ones are a great value with the buy-them-by-the-tin size(ideal for an office event, family brunch, packable lunch snack or quick dessert). Their schmears are awesome(we like the jalapeño and cinnamon honey sugar ones), as are their deli sandwiches – yummy turkey and harvati. Nice variety of bagel flavors and coffee selections too. All you Entertainment Book coupon users, check out the Big Apple coupon cuz it’s really a good deal, and the coupon is a way to get introduced to the menu(there are other BABses around the metro area). All in all, a great, fun, smaller, super friendly neighborhood place to hang out that isn’t as large or as noisy as some other well-known similar kicked-up bakery cafes, with a well-designed menu around unbeatable classics: bagels and muffins!

Was thrilled to get a bagel place in Canton. That didn’t last long after I finally tried them. I found their selection limited and common; same for their cream cheese selection. The quality of the bagels are sub-par. All they are is baked white bread. There is no bagel chewiness; meaning they are not boiled as a true bagel is but only baked. They have no «weight». The checkout girls look as if they are in middle school. And their knowledge of the register seemed on par to that education level. I will not return for bagels. I will keep making the trek up to Einsteins when I feel the urge.

Three stars is not a bad review. I actually liked this place, it just is nothing super special. Friendly staff, decent food and overall a great new addition to the Canton area. The bagels here are good, not great. I am a bagel snob though. The food is fairly reasonably priced as well. If you work nearby it is a gem. Great for a quick morning pick up on the go and you can fax in your order for lunch which is very helpful. I have had sesame and salt bagels with whipped cream cheese(plain and garden veggie), a bagel sandwich and part of a blueberry cheesecake muffin. All items have been pretty tasty. The sandwich I sampled was smoked turkey with harvarti, lettuce and tomato. It was pepped up with a bit of onion and chive cream cheese and ran me six bucks. So if you are in the area and need a quick lunch I would recommend it. It is not recommended for anyone who should be watching their carbs but hey I eat there anywho.
