Went into the restaurant thinking we would try, and see the difference between this house and the restaurant Kung po house on Michigan ave. Big difference, ordered similar food and the steamed dumplings came out sitting in water, the vegetable fried rice came out with just a couple pieces of vegetable, and the Singapore noodles came out with the littlest shrimp they could buy. Food did not taste good, as we left my little girl had an upset stomach and had to go to the bathroom immediately, my stomach was hurting for eating the Singapore noodles. This was the worst Chinese house we ate at as my wife is Asian, the owner sat on her phone at the desk with the speaker on talking and yelling into it, not a customer friendly place.

This is a fresh and tasty Chinese restaurant! The seating is limited, so it’s more of a takeout spot. They have awesome lunch specials for $ 6-$ 10. My favorite menu items are the garlic chicken(comes with vegetables) or the sweet and sour chicken(comes with tasty sauce!) I give it a 4 star, because I feel like the lady at the front counter could be a little more friendly. She always seems rushed and bothered when I order my food. Other than the service, China House is great. China House is my go to place for Chinese, because it’s fresh, fast, and halal!

Well, when I think of fast food Chinese food, there is not much difference from one restaurant to another as the menus are exactly the same and prices are pretty much identical. I took the kids with me for carry out and we ordered the beef lo mein, orange chicken, general tai chicken and hot n sour soup. The food tasted excellent and was freshly prepared. The prices were reasonable and quantity was huge. I was very impressed at the portion size. Quality of food was excellent and food was hot. I really like the Lo Mein. They also have a all day specials which I recommend from the menu. As people have different choice selections, I will say that it’s worth trying different dishes. This place is definitely not one to dine in at. Ambiance is old, and the dine in section is very small. Call in your order and take out. They also publish serving«halaal option» meat, so if you eat meat according to certain religious restrictions, then please ask them to make it from the halaal meat choice.

Good food but not sure if it’s halal. Only gone twice because they don’t know much about halal food and how it should be cooked and served separately

I took my parents(in their 70’s) out to eat here after a flight. I had ordered carry out several times, but had not eaten in. The food was excellent. The egg rolls are the best. The restroom is extremely clean. I had the Orange Beef, my mom had Genera Tso’s Chicken, and my Dad had Sweet & Sour Chicken. Everything was great.

First, i’d like to start off by saying i love Chinese food. But this… wasn’t good. Like at all. I ordered the Almond Chicken & shrimp fried rice. And it was ass-y. The rice was hard, there were like 4 shrimp in the rice. And the chicken had no taste. I won’t be going back there. Ever.

staff is horrible… to be fair, the daughter of the owner is being the place down. very poor attitude, rude to customers, this place only survives because there is no other halal Chinese place.

I have a peanut allergy. I found out the hard way that they seal their egg rolls close with peanut butter. Afraid to try anything else.

Not the worst Chinese food, not the best either, The lo mein and chop suey was pretty good and not overly salty The honey chicken was bland and tasteless, akin to hospital food, What stood out the most was the curt service by the«no speak english wife» We ordered carry out, and the drill was order your food, get in, get out, No hellos, thank you or have a nice day, Not that I am sensitive but come on, at least try. The future does not bode well for this place if they treat customers as an annoyance,

Not bad, everything had a little bit of sweetness, which I didn’t really enjoy. But Hot n Sour soup was excellent. The lo mein noodles needed some salt and flavor, they were a bit on greasy side. 2 soups, 2 lo mein, 1 pt steak n onion, 1 hanan chicken cost around $ 40, which is great price! if it was more than that I wouldn’t want, cuz the food was quite on the bland side.

I stopped in at China House on a whim one evening after wandering around trying to figure out what I felt like eating. I pulled into a parking lot, powered up the old Unilocal app on my phone, and was off in a flash. I’m pretty picky about Chinese food, and by my own admission I have a pretty narrow range of go-to dishes. These are the basis I use to judge all the Chinese I eat. The Unilocal reviews on this place gave me hope, since my favorite other place(Ten Yen) was ~2o minutes away. China House is a mere 5 minutes from home, so oh very convenient. The place is SMALL, and clearly set up for carry out, although there are some booths for eating in as well. The staff was friendly and seemed to be mostly family. I ordered an Almond Chicken combo & a shrimp with lobster sauce combo to go(I couldn’t decide between the two). All said and done, I ended up getting 4 meals out of them. The almond chicken had the perfect proportion of breading, and was tender and juicy. The gravy was a bit darker than I prefer, but overall not bad. The shrimp and lobster sauce was really good, with large & plentiful shrimp, and a nice sauce. The fried rice was easily some of the best I’ve had in any Chinese Restaurant, and I’d go back for that alone some time! The egg rolls were REAL egg rolls, not spring rolls. They were pretty good too, although I still prefer more bean sprouts in mine. I’ll be making a return trip and follow up review in the future, to see if the tasty goodness can be duplicated, with some different dishes next time!

Recently moved into Canton from the downriver area(Chopstick Inn!) and every community has its fast-Chinese food places and I like to experiment until I find a fave. I have found my fave in Canton! China House(right next to a DQ and a CVS, two other places I visit often), is the perfect fast-Chinese place! Take out portions were huge! Got a General Tso’s Dinner Combo for like 8 bucks and there was SOMUCH chicken! And it’s Halal, so it’s actually a little more pure chicken than fillers. We had enough for about 3 meals altogether(my main meal, a few pieces for my wife, and plenty for lunch the next day. Sauce wasn’t particularly spicy enough, so order it Spicy(which made it perfect for me!) Also they have brown rice for $ 1 more! Of course it’s still fast-Chinese food so it’s not 100% healthy, but at least brown rice has more nutrients and fiber to make it a bit healthier. I may try some other places around us, but if I will visit here often!

We ordered the dry noodle nest looks appetizing from the picture on the wall, a spicy beef(Schechuan) and Tofu with oyster sauce. When the food arrive at our table they all look same dark, greasy variety, not the same look at the picture on the wall. The pricing is also not cheap. The place is in a new strip mall must be a pricey rent, amazing they are in business for a year now. The lady(wife) of the«Chef» does not speak very well English. Gook luck!

Stopped by a rainy Sunday feeling the need for some comfort food and China House fit the bill. I went wild ordering($ 69 bill!!!) and got cashew shrimp, beef with oyster sauce, sweet and sour chicken, almond chicken, house special fried rice, regular fried rice, seafood special, lemon chicken, crab ragoons, spring rolls, and wonton soup. I did have people at home to help me eat everything up and it was all good! The best was the lemon chicken! The chicken breasts were pounded thin and breaded with a panko crust that had lemon zest in it! It was so pretty and definitely company-worthy!

Split some very happy Singapore rice noodles with my mom. Extra spicy as requested, they brought the real tongue tingles. The dish had lots of pieces of pork and shrimp and was perfectly cooked. Yum. We also had some egg rolls that were pretty pleasing to go with. My dad’s chicken chop suey was not great but seriously when is chop suey a great idea? I would not order it anywhere myself but hey he is almost seventy so I guess his taste buds are different than mine. He liked it well enough. If that’s all I had from here though I’d only rate this place a 2 or 3 star. Everything was packed nicely and ready in a flash. Definitely a good to go even as a walk in from off the street. If I go back solo I want to try some of that black general chicken Tareq likes. I have never sampled that varietal myself. They have a huge menu, full of standards. Nothing that will wow you or surprise you but for what it is it works. Lunch specials are all under 6 bucks and they have coupons on their to go menus. Bonus points to them for giving us the coupon rate without us even asking. They are super sweet.
