Nice atmosphere, OK service, the food is GROSS — the only discernible spice is salt. I had the Kung Po chicken, and it was about what I’d get out of a can of Chun King (makes Chinese food Swing American) — ConAgra killed Chun King sometime around 1995, and I mean, if I found a can of it in someone’s basement, I’d want to eat it before I spent money at Kung Po House.

«Hi Brandon, so sorry to hear about it .im so serious about reviews, so I’m gonna check it out what happen? And meanwhile can you come back here to get your refund or give us one more chance»
Sorry «Chan», my opinion is not for sale…
If you’re «…so serious about reviews…», maybe you should make good food in the first place — like, maybe you should not get your water chestnuts out of a can and use quality chicken instead of the 2^nd-​hand horror you serve. The food is nasty, and all your attempts to buy good reviews isn’t going to change that.

Not sure what other people have been through, but I’ve had nothing but amazing food and service here. I even ordered something, and when it arrived I thought I ordered something else, they changed it happily for me. I think because I don’t order take out, I dine in. This place gets crazy busy because their food is good, so if you come during peak hours don’t expect to get your food quickly, they make it all fresh and authentic so keep in mind nothing’s pre-​cooked. These people are the real deal, I think if you try some of the dishes that aren’t the normal Orange Chicken, sweet and sour pork, you’ll get to really enjoy some authentic Chinese food that isn’t commercialized.

I’d give a NEGATIVE star if I could. I ordered 2 lunch specials today. Without complaining it took more than ½ hrs to make 2 lunches. This lady at the counter had TERRIBLE service. I asked if she had extra plates/​bowls. She looked at me as if I was an ALIEN & said «no». She told me to use the box. I said I know, but I wanted extra plate. Then she walked away. When the food came, I asked for hot sauce. She said «Hot sauce? $ 1». I looked at her & thought, is she crazy? I was really upset. I said, this is crazy, I’ll never come back again. She didn’t say anything.

My go to for Chinese takeout. Food is consistently good and the price is reasonable. Have never dined it. Small inside, but has a feel of regularity for the ones who dine in. General Tso is my favorite entrée.

This place is definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Michigan, a hidden gem that enlightened my day.

Authentic Chinese food! So far I have been there four times, and have ordered a different variety. They always meet my expectations and far exceed. Highly recommended if you crave for real Chinese spicy stuff!

Service was quick and friendly got the lunch combo and wonton. soup soup looked good. until I bit in and realized it was drowning in curry which is kinda off putting to someone who doesn’t like curry never heard of anywhere putting curry chicken in. wonton soup eggs rolls were ALL Bean sprouts but the Mongolian beef was great

I was accused of trying to get something free out of them when I called to complain about my order. I unfortunately had to explain to the lady that my socioeconomic status well positions me not to want or take handouts. They’ve lost a very loyal customer who regularly patronized their business and encouraged others to give their food a try.
The food was horrible this time around and it’s progressively been declining this past year.

They serve authentic Szechuan food. Malatang is my favorite. It recalls my memory of Chengdu again and again. It tastes like Szechuan hot pot. But more suitable for two or three people. Not too spicy.

I have been here a few times in the past, but I will never go back. I don’t know if they changed management, but I ordered something as simple as a egg roll and shrimp fried rice. I had to throw it away. It was inedible. Egg roll was burned and the rice was mush. Please stay away.

The food was fantastic. The only reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars is because I had to wait more than 30 minutes to get my food. They were very busy at the time though. The venue is tiny so if you have a large party (more than 4 individuals) you may want to call in advance.

Very authentic Chinese food. Service could be better.

We had very slow service and had to wait a long time just for something to drink. Speaking of drink refills are extra so order water. As for our meals I had Mongolian shrimp and my son had Mongolian beef. Both dishes were basically a plate full of onions with a few shrimp and a few slices of beef. Definitely not worth the money.

Delicious food and very good service. They serve real Chinese food on their Chinese menu! I have to say their dishes are so delicious but not expensive at all!!!

Meal pretty decent. Cost: slightly expensive, but the area is a gold mine. They have chinese menu as well. Wait time… Not fast especially on weekdays and lunch time. Best to order 1 hour in advanced, else, you’ll get lunch without eating them.
Small, unique, clean restaurant.

On our way home last night, we decided to grab some Chinese takeout. I remembered the super spicy Kung Po that Kung Po House made for me a couple of years ago; a perfect melt your face burn that made it difficult to eat yet I couldn’t stop because of the fiery goodness that was experienced. The order was called in, and they were told very, very, very spicy.
When I arrived at home I was ready to sweat, so you can imagine the crushing disappointment when it was somewhere between mild and medium. They didn’t even throw some chili flakes on there in at least a half hearted effort to raise the heat level. The food was good, but very disappointing. Another letdown was the «fried rice» that comes with the food. It was white rice with brown sauce poured on it. No peas, no carrot, no egg, no onion, just not fried rice.

not the cheapest place in town but they have great food. The people that work there are very nice and courteous.
Ive tried a few Chinese places in canton and by far, this one is the best, which is why i don’t mind spending an extra couple dollars.

Chinese food is Chinese food. I order basic, Gen Chow Chicken, Fried Rice and Pan Fried Dumplings. WOW where do I start Dumplings 2 out of 10, Gen Chow 4 out of 10 and the Rice 2 out of 10. As a new resident to the area, I will continue my search of a decent Chinese Restaurant, «Kung Po House» is not it… My overall experience was 2 out of 10

Last week, my craving for Chinese food was really intense, so for lunch I decided to place a take-​out order with the Kung Po House. They are located on US-​12, west of Canton Center in a small strip mall, west of Canton Center Road. I decided to order their «Chicken With Broccoli» on white rice, as part of their daily lunch specials. I figured you really can’t go wrong with this dish.
Everyone knows that when it comes to some Chinese restaurants, the quality of the food can sometimes be hit or miss. Thankfully, the food at this place was really good, and service was outstanding. Moreover, the place was very clean, which is a major plus in my book. They had my order waiting and ready, even though I was five minutes early. I plan on being a repeat customer at this place from now on.
