Service always fast and courteous. Food presented hot and very tasty. My first choice are the hot dogs. Just out of this world. I them with chili or with saurkarut. Onion rings are the best. Hot, made with real onions. A cup of the home made chili with cheese hits the spot anytime. I recently enjoyed a cup of split pea soup which was outstanding. I will keep going back.

Stopped in to get a late lunch as I was passing through Canton today on my way back to the Berkshires. As a member of a successful restaurant family, I’m a pretty tough food critic. That said, the burger that I ordered was excellent — perfectly cooked, ample in size and very tasty. Reno’s is a roadside joint very much to my liking — honest food, nice people and reasonable prices. Check it out — you won’t be disappointed. By the way, I rated Reno’s 4 stars since I never give any venue a perfect score. But this place comes close…

I am not a hot dog person but this place has great hot dogs. They also have good hamburgers and milkshakes. Reno and his staff is very friendly. Definitely worth stopping for a casual bite to eat.

Great classic drive in. Everything cooked to order. Love the hot dogs with their free spicy relish. Love them so much I have not tried much else but all the drive in staples are there. Super friendly, local vibe.

I think I found my next«Doogies». Grote and Weigel hot dogs(probably my most favoritest dog in the world)… Low down skinny from a chef. The place is a «drive-in» style really, about 4 tables and a counter going around the wall, so not much in the way of seating. Now. The Hot Dog… Chili cheese dog to be exact. What can I say bad about it, cause there’s really just 1 point, and it’s probably my own fault, and I’m going to correct it the next time I’m there. Melted American Cheese under the chili… Not a fan, never will be a fan. Not that I don’t like American cheese, but cheddar… MMmmmmm, which they do have, I just didn’t ask for it, so, my fault. But the chili, yeah, it’s good. It’s almost too good, like I want just a bowl of the chili, maybe like a bread bowl of chili. LOVE the natural salt(rock salt or sea salt, wasn’t quite sure) on the fries. This was actually my parents idea to go here, they say they use to go there all the time when they were in high school. Try it and love it, I know I did!

Always good service. Shakes excellent. Owner almost always there, which means a lot with a smaller place. Next door to McDonalds, so I wonder how many fools just zip by and get generic MacNothing instead of having a little fun at Reno’s.

Classic old time greasy spoon drive in style burger and fry shack with better than average food. Any place like this that uses fresh flounder for their fish and chips is a winner in my book. Take my four stars in context though — haute cuisine this is not.

Joint # 67, RENO’S DRIVEIN, Canton, CT. Reno’s Drive-In has been at it since 2009 and has sold a whopping 70,000 hot dogs(17,000 hot dogs sold last year alone)! That is impressive to say the least. When we arrived on this beautiful Spring evening, Reno greeted us with a friendly hello. Upon stating our purpose, Reno was all ears and proceeded to tell us the history of the location, the success he’s achieved, and most importantly how proud he is of his custom-made Grote & Weigel brand hot dogs. This guy seemed like the real deal — was friendly and genuine and most of all, wanted to make this meal right for us in every sense of the word. This was turning into a great dining experience. RATING(S):… John: 8.5÷10, Me: 8.5÷10. John said, «Nice place. Awesome owner… Reno, good guy. Good dog. Grote & Weigel, natural casing. Spicy mustard, homemade chili, onion… fantastic. Chili had some good flavor to it; wasn’t overly spicy at all, but I did pick up some hints of spice in that so that was good. I had a little bit of the hot pepper relish on one half anyway, but I’m not rating that. It was very good. For the dog itself, I really liked it. It was a 9 inch, 5⁄1. I’m going with an 8.5 here at Reno’s. I really enjoyed the dog. It was good, toasted bun — stayed together well.» I said, «Reno’s…Canton, CT. The guy us worth your time. He’s phenomenal. He’s passionate about what he does. He’s been open 6 years and in one year alone he sold 17,000 hot dogs, which is phenomenal, let’s face it. Grote & Weigel, which you don’t see enough, people! This dog was natural casing. It was a 9 inch hot dog that he puts in the fryer only… finished in the fryer, started in the fryer. It had a nice bun… simply toasted on the griddle, no butter. The sauce, the chili… delicious. I would have preferred a little spicier. Couldn’t tell if there were beans, but I don’t think there were. Bean-less. Very, very tasty. Delicious. The onion and the mustard(we had the spicy mustard) went well. Again I did what John did, I put a little hot pepper relish on the side, he makes it here, it’s delicious. It is sweet initially and then a slow burn. And for Reno’s, I’m an 8.5.» ***Please LIKE our page:

I happened to be in Canton and had been meaning to check this place out so I finally did. Ordered a steak and cheese as it comes(onions, peppers, mushrooms). Had to order a side of waffle fries to get over the $ 10 credit card minimum. The steak and cheese was very good but TINY. It’s not bad for $ 7.49, but I would rather they charge $ 10 and give me a decent size sandwich. Joey Garlic’s steak and cheese is 2−3x the size. The waffle fries were awesome. I want to give this place 4 stars but can’t based on my first visit. I’ll be back for sure and will try a bacon blue cheeseburger and a bacon cheese dog and will update my review based on that.

Used to come here when it was Kelly’s Drive In(clam bellies and shake). It’s a bit of a relic but I’m rarely in that neck of the woods anymore. Food is basically a cholesterol time bomb mess of greasy sides and cheesy laden meats. Good shakes.

Get the bleu cheese bacon burger. Sublime. So good. It will blow your mind. The whole menu is good, but this burger is insane. Eat it as soon as it comes off the grill. You’re welcome.

Awesome! Did a phone take out order. The order was ready when I arrived. I ordered two philly cheese steaks and some onion rings. All were perfect. Can’t ask for anything better. Reno’s is always a winner.

Really good. Try the specials, especially the fried whole belly clams when they offer them. Hot dogs are tasty. Everything fresh. Made to order!

Loved the Philly cheesesteak without peppers! Very meaty with ooey gooey cheese all piping hot and delicious. Mushrooms were fresh and you could tell. So good that I’m thinking about dropping back by to try out their chili cheese waffle fries!

Love Reno’s. I loved it when it was in Simsbury, then Granby, now Canton. It’s a great place to stop for a bite, and the wings are some of the best in the state! All boneless, reasonable prices, and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Reno himself is a very nice guy.

Just what you’d expect. Average, at best. Fries below average. Service was fine, though. Not the cleanest place.

I stopped here for lunch on Saturday. Went with their special burger and fries with a coffee milkshake. The burger was very thin and lost in the huge bun. Everything tasted fine but I left feeling like I ate lettuce on a hard roll instead of ground beef. I probably will not repeat.
