White Castle

Came home for Thanksgiving. We don’t have White Castle in North Carolina where I live so I had to get me some sliders while I’m here. I proceeded to order up 6 original sliders, 6 piece chicken rings and a medium order of onion petals.
Right after I got the to go bag I noticed the heavenly aroma from the bag of goodies. I even noticed a couple of grease stains telling you that it is legit. As I took out the first slider, I immediately thought of that movie «Harold and Kumar Goes to White Castle» and that scene at the drive through when the burger employee said «every time I think about those juicy, delicious burgers, it makes me want to burn this muthafucka down»
The sliders are juicy and the buns are perfectly steamed. The little pickle on top of the burger adds a nice little touch. My only complaint is that the bottom bun was soggy. The onion petals goes great with the zesty sauce. The chicken rings had a nice layer of breading and went very well with the honey mustard sauce.
I’ll definitely stop by every time I’m back in Michigan.

Ok, childhood addiction! I simply love a hot fresh double cheeseburger! Large coke with crushed ice either late at night or breakfast. Crazy, but

White Castle is one of my guilty pleasures in life. It’s right up there with obnoxiously yelling out the answers while co-​workers watch Jeopardy and lighting of the occasional Midnight pack of Thunderbombs to annoy the neighbors.
The food tastes so devine. Amazing fries, love the crinkle cuts. Burgers are always yummy. ***SCOTTY TIP*** Put some tarter sauce on one of them sliders, you will be pleased.
I am a huge fan of each of their burgers and also their fish sandwiches. (surprisingly good).
One of my BFFs adores the cheese sticks and papa always raved about clam strips.
The coup de gras of this place though is that it’s also a Churches Chicken.
CHURCH’S CHICKEN is soooo much better than Lee’s Chicken. It is damn good chicken. Lemme tell you about Churches — Those fuckers at Churches Chicken make a great bird. So juicy and tasty, a massive thumbs up!!! Get a side of jalapeño. Mmmmm Mmmmmm
This location is always clean and the peeps working there are fast and friendly.
Whenever I get White Caastle though, the voice inside my head says «Scotty, this probably isn’t good for you, WTF» and I say to that voice, «I know, but taste this!!!» After that my voice says no words but yum. (Just as another 3 laps at the Rec-​IM, you will be straight for the week)
I love the WC and I’ll surely be back, most likely past midnight, being driven by some guy who looks like they have bad allergies in their eyes, but that’s A-​OK for my, I’ll gladly go on a little car ride for some of these Good Burgers.
PS — I think Harold and Kumar movies suck. White Castle deserves better than t, espechose horrid films, especially at this locale.

PS — If its Valentine’s Day and you are with a girl who is down 2 clown… they whip out candles for a romantic dining experience.

Good service for a late night run but slow wait times at the drive thru :(

We usually stop late night to tame a White Castle Craving and this time was no exception. Our favorite Slider is the Double Jalapeño and Hot Pepper Cheese. Which we couple with a Sack of Fries. If you’ve ever enjoyed a Slider, then you know exactly what to expect, and they never seem to disappoint! We generally try out one of their latest creations, but we always stick with our favorite to start. With all that said, I can still only go 3 stars, but I’ll be back..

It’s White Castle at its finest: sliders, fries, & chicken rings. The staff was helpful and friendly. Also, the rest rooms were very clean what else can you ask for a fast food restaurant?

How long has this chain been around? I can’t figure out why.
This was my first visit to a White Castle ever, and I can promise it will be my last. I did it. I tried it.
The little 2″ square sponge soaked with grease and onions and something resembling meat with an orange colored cheese-​like film on top was underwhelming to look at and barely edible. It says a lot that I couldn’t even pry it open to put a little ketchup on there to help the second bite. It was goopy. I was sorry.
Couldn’t help but mentally quote Star Wars as I left: «If there’s a bright center to the universe, you’re on the planet that it is farthest from.» Couldn’t agree more Luke!

As much as I like White Castles, it’s something in the food that sends me running to the bathroom, no matter what I order. But, regardless… I still continue to get it. I only get it when I visit my in-​laws in Detroit so I don’t mind cleaning out my system with food from here… better than any laxative or colon cleanser I’ve ever taken. I can’t wait to go back to White Castles for a good system flush.

What is there to say about this place, after-​all they made a movie about it! White Castle is a place I find you either hate it or love it. Prices here are very reasonable and those little burgers will fill you up fast! There is no better late night meal than getting a sack of crinkle fries and a crave case of 30 burgers for under $ 20 and splitting it with your buddies.
Recently they have added many new items to the menu, such as BBQ burgers, pulled pork, jalapeño, chicken, etc… I still think the original cheese is where it’s at, so if you are a visitor coming from a place that doesn’t have one of these, stick to that.
It also should be noted that they have a Church’s Chicken attached at this location, although I’ve never really gotten anything from there.

It’s called a slider for a reason, right. So why do I continue to torture myself? Convenience basically.
I stopped in a nd got a couple of originals & a couple of chicken sliders. The drive thru is different as they can deliver to multiple lanes with some drive thru banking type apparatus.
That’s the highlights really. 5 minutes to wolf down, 24 hours to pay for it. I hope I learned my lesson, until next time…

Well, today felt like a Whitey Castell day, so I went thru the drive thru at lunch.
Order 6 Wc’s with everything, a medium fry and a large coke.
The drive thru was quick, the food was hot and under $ 10.

Got the crave today! Not sure why I like this place, but I do. Always get the same boring double bacon cheeseburgers. I suppose I ought to mix it up a little, but I like what I like I guess.
