Meatballs and Garlic bread were awesome! Pepperoni pizza was alright. Service was very friendly when we had it. Only 2 other tables being occupied and we had to ask for refills after waiting awhile.

What a waste of money!!! Don’t be surprised when it happens to you. I should’ve of just ordered from one of the pizza places you always see on tv. Take this as a warning. Food sucks !!!

Excellent place in Canyon Lake to eat! Their pizza is so good! Very authentic! Not like Dominos or Papa Johns. This stuff is legit! There servers are very friendly and did a great job at making sure we were taken care of throughout our entire meal! We will be going there again and recommending it to all our friends!

The Greek salad has plenty of incredible ingredients and the dressing is superb. I think their pizza crust is the best out there.

I was handed a menu at the counter. I was baffled. I wasn’t told to take a seat and a «I’ll be with you to take your order.» Since the place looks fancy like. The menu is long and the items were pricy and the service did not go with the price that was to be paid. I ordered the lunch special. It did not come with a drink, so I asked for a water cup. My meal was in to go boxes. I wasn’t asked if I wanted it to go. I assumed it was mostly dine in. I got up my seat and retrieved my order… kinda disappointed it wasn’t brought to me. The restaurant didn’t present a casual vibe for me to be picking up my meal. The weird Christmas lights that kinda weigh down the other side of the restaurant. The pizza was hastily made, but the salad was superb. The customer service could be more outgoing and friendly. I don’t know what kinda of style is this restaurant going for.

Went for the first time. Ordered hot wings, Greek salad, 10″ BBQ pizza and a Gluten Free Pizza. Having been GF for years, I miss the taste of pizza crust but this GF pizza crust was the absolute best I’ve had. I truly enjoyed every bite. Also, beware, the Portions are HUGE! Defiantly worth the price. Enough salad and pizza for me to take half of each home for tomorrow. Husband said his BBQ10″ was on point. I did try the hot wings and those were great too. I am so excited that they deliver as well! We will definitely be going back.

As an Italian from New York, this place is legit. Great prices, margherita pizza was delicious, and the mozzarella sticks strung out to roughly 14.7 inches, which is the east coast regulation stringiness for mozzarella sticks. 6 out of 5 stars.

Decided to try this place tonight… I must say I am very impressed. Ordered 2 pizzas, 2 house salads for delivery and it was at my door in 25 minutes. The pizza was fantastic! All of it was fantastic! Was treated very nice and I will definitely be ordering all my pizza from this place!

Came in 2 check out the place and was expecting mediocre but, VERYHAPPILYSURPRISED. I had chicken, artichoke penne pasta and it was FABULOUS! My sister had calamari and she was VERYHAPPY. They also deliver to CANYONLAKE& personally I think they are«under» prices but, I’m certainly NOT going to complain.

It was 8pm and I didn’t want to leave the house so I was glad to see that this place delivered. I ordered a meatball sub(which comes with 1 side) and fried Parmesan zucchini. Delivery time was very reasonable, about 35min. I was honestly expecting my meatball sub to be soggy since it had to sit in a container for 20min on the way over, but I was surprised to see that not only was the sub hot, the bread was fresh with a nice crisp outside. I thought the Parmesan zucchini could use a little more flavor. Ill definitely order again from here, looking forward to trying their pizza. Update: 2nd order was a bit downhill. I was told delivery would be 30−35min and it took over an hour. I ordered a gyro with extra sauce on the side and by the time it arrived it was cold/dry and they forgot the extra sauce I asked for. They should add a little more gyro meat because it wasn’t a filling sandwich. Also I ordered soup as my side and when the driver arrived he said they ran out of soup so they brought me fries and salad instead. Thanks but I would have rather received a call telling me they are out of the soup and I would have ordered something else.

Everything is amazing about this place. I was looking for pizza delivery on Unilocal, other than the usual Dominos. Their menu caught my eye for sure! After calling and confirming they delivered(Brent was fantastic) we ordered Italian food to our hearts delight. It arrived within 45 minutes hot, and with a smile. Very good food, fast, reasonably priced and great service. We’ll be ordering again for sure! The Chicken Penne with artichoke is tastes, meatballs are a MUST and the pizza hot and fresh.

I wish this place was open right now. Have some serious cacciatore cravings. It’s Christmas and I don’t even want the home roasted ham! Seriously drooling thinking about the chicken artichoke penne. Amazing pasta. And huge! The owner is super friendly she always comes by to check in on us. It’s always nice with they make you feel like family. Which at this place it’s like eating at a real family restaurant!(Which it is) but you really get that feeling here. Super friendly! I really miss the waitress Bree! She was awesome. And the stone oven pizza is amazing. Another Unilocaler said they had a wood oven, which I believe is wrong it has always been a stone oven. You can see the brick when you walk in and see the huge oven door! Well merry Christmas guys wish you were open!

Used to order at least once a week, if not more often for over a year when it was Troy’s Wood Fired Pizza. The food was gourmet quality, pizzas, salads, burgers, and pastas, but have given the new owner three chances hoping third time would be the charm. Unfortunately, tonight was the last straw. Cheap white bread being passed off as a French roll, skimping on the ingredients inside the sandwich and cold french fries did me in. Attempted to speak with the manager to avoid a negative Unilocal review however he wasn’t interested in trying to satisfy an old customer. I won’t be back.

This is one of those situations where I wish that Unilocal allowed a little more finesse. I would give this place 3.5 stars — a little better than average. I was going to round up to four because of the friendliness of the people, but, after thinking some more and proofreading my own review, decided to keep it at three. The problem that Cacciatore’s has is that it needs to decide what it wants to be when it grows up. Is it going to be a basic take-out/delivery place with an eat-in area? Or is it going to be a restaurant that does take out? Rumors are circulating in our little community that this place wants to be a restaurant, plans to expand its menu, add TV sets(personally, I am not a fan of that idea…), etc. I hope that this is true, but, if so, it has a long way to go. For the time being, I would probably order take-out food from them, but would probably not go there to sit and eat. And, in simply ordering, I would have to decide between them and A’s; and if I wanted to sit and be pampered, I would drive down the hill to Vincenzo’s or go to the Lodge — their pizza is ok and they tell me that the service is improving… But that’s me… We arrived on a Thursday evening at around 6PM. It was cold in there! We(and at least one other group) mentioned this to the waitress. She said that they would turn up the thermostat. An hour and a half later, when we were leaving, we were both still wearing heavy coats. Not a good start. The other interesting observation was that there was a young couple with a toddler already there, eating in. They were finishing up. They had ordered a medium sized pizza and left at least two-thirds(maybe three-quarters) of it on the table when they left! Maybe it’s just us, but we would have gotten a «to-go» box.(Wife would not let me chase down the couple to ask them why they left the almost complete pizza…) We began by ordering two glasses of wine(a Merlot and a Cab). They brought out the Merlot and informed us that they were out of Cab, so we had two glasses of Merlot — mediocre at best.(If I were running an Italian«restaurant», I would have a nice house Chianti and several other wine choices — not generic wine from a box. Italians like their wines!) When they brought the wine, they also brought out some garlic bread — nice touch. Unfortunately, it had no flavor and was nice and cold by the time that our salad arrived. We ordered an Antipasto Salad. This became a bit of an ordeal. We asked if it was large enough to split, and were told yes, and it was. We asked for Italian dressing(sort of surprised that we had to pick a dressing for an «Antipasto»), and we asked for the salad to be tossed and split. Were then told that they bring the dressing on the side, so we asked them to add it before tossing. The waitress balked at this, but then said she could ask the kitchen, but that there would be a $ 1 «split» charge, and we were fine with that. To me, the salad was a bit of a disappointment. I like a lot more stuff in Antipastos, I like to be offered anchovies, I like a subtle, homemade dressing — this was none of those. Also, the fact that I had a yellowed, wilted piece of lettuce right on top was not good.(If you ever desire a GREAT Antipasto, drive up to Van Nuys and go to Barone’s. They also have outstanding pizza!) Finally the pizza. We got the Chicken Alfredo on a thin crust, well done. Would probably not order this again. The crust was good and properly cooked. There was a LOT of cheese — too much, really — overwhelming. The chicken was sparse and flavorless, and it was a challenge to find the roasted garlic. Next time would order a much more traditional(pepperoni, sausage, onions, etc.) pizza. We noticed that Cacciatore’s has a permanent exterior sign now, something that it’s predecessor never had — this is a good thing and demonstrates financial commitment. But if they are serious about being a «restaurant» they are also going to have to make some interior changes. Presently, you walk in and there is a very large counter, open to the kitchen. This is where their«to-go» orders and boxes get assembled. Not really conducive to having a nice meal. So if you are going to go there and«eat-in», I strongly suggest that you sit along the east(left) wall, as far back as you can. This is what I would do if I were to dine there again. And, unless I am missing something, they really need to have an online presence, especially if they are planning to have a lot of take-out. I could not find a site. Someone did post some partial menu photographs on Unilocal, but the photos are blurry and the pizza page is missing. In closing it is important to note that the people were very, very nice. And this is the single most important factor in any businesses success. So I am hopeful that the owners finalize their vision for this place soon and are successful in implementing it. Would love to see it and wish them all the best!

Best hot wings in the area! Ask for the sauce on the side and toss it up at home, they are nice and crispy that way. The pizza was good too. Great flavors. Crust was a little thin tonight for my liking but it’s really tasty! Prices are good too for homemade food. My other favorite is the anti pasta salad. Omg it’s so delicious! Sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, just yes! It is a must try. We don’t have many amazing places in the area so thank God for this place. Oh and a note to the restaurant… please don’t put the side of ranch in with the hot wings. Lol. Warm ranch is not appetizing. I’m sure it’s a pain to just have it loose in a bag just my 2 cents :-)

Best place for pizza in the area! No more driving to Temecula. The owners are very friendly, looking forward to trying more dishes. Fried zucchini was great too!

There’s a lot going on at this place. So many choices for such a small establishment but I would definitely recommend the pizza. The staff is super friendly too!
