Recommend the lobster bake! Amazing butter and garlic sauce. Very pleasant and nice staff. Definitely will be back.

We are always very pleased with Red Lobster-especially this one in Cape. Usually chain restaurants are not our first choice, but RL seems to be constantly satisfying. Our server was great and Bob, the mgr was very attentive as well.

My traveling partner wanted to go here, not my first choice. The draft beer selection was disappointing and the menu is overwhelming, as there are so many options with different combination plates that it is difficult to narrow down your selection. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful, which was a benefit. Bottom line– the three of us each had a very enjoyable meal, not amazing but very satisfied.

Food was good. Server got order wrong bu quickly corrected it. We were using a gift card and i wanted the tip added to the card and specifically told her what to do, but she didn’t. So instead of a 20% tip, she wound up with a bit over 10%.

Awesome food, mojitos, service and the best part-it’s quite on a Friday night despite being packed

The good is typical for any Red Lobster but what caught my attention was the fact the the waiter gave me a «free» meal(never clocked in my table) and basically asked for a good tip in lieu of payment.

First off, don’t go to Red Lobster if you are expecting fresh fish. Most of their food comes prepared elsewhere«fresh frozen» then thawed at their place. However the cheese garlic biscuits are addictive as the boston ice tea. I usually go there every now and then to get away from everybody late lunch. I usually get the shrimp scampi or flounder with salad and biscuits. The food is not bad just not as fresh as I like because I was raised in Orlando. One of the biggest issues Cape Girardeau has is getting fresh seafood I’m not a fan of catfish. This place is always crowded on weekends and nights so arrive early or take a late lunch unless you like waiting. The average wait varies depending from 15 minutes to 40 minutes. No reserve seating. The service is usually pretty good as the local people very friendly but it does have it’s limits especially when they get over crowded which shows the demand for a great seafood place in this area. Overall R.L. is not a bad meal for the price especially at lunch I would not recommend them for dinners as they are overpriced plus you are dealing with the crowds.

Don’t go to Red Lobster if you expect to get fresh fish. As far as I can tell, even the trout and catfish are prepared from«fresh frozen». I have yet to eat fish here that hasn’t been overcooked. However, I’m not originally from the Midwest so it could be that Midwesterners like their fish to be overcooked.

Not a fan of chains, but the service here makes me a fan. The seafood is mostly over battered & fried or soaked in butter, but they also have some well cooked grilled(shrimp, scallops etc) & steamed offerings(crab legs etc). The seasonings is light(except salt). The free biscuits are greasy addictive. Why 4 stars? The combination of corporate training & small town effort gives some surprising results. I have been here a few times with family from 6 – 14 person groups. The staff has always been great dealing with kids, teenagers to adults. The want for more biscuits are met with smiles. The staff, I have observed, works more as a team than many restaurants(example — filling other servers glasses when they have a pitcher). I have seen kids entertained by workers pulling lobster from the tank to show them. I have only visited this restaurant on Saturdays, but the wait to be seated is extremely long– between 30 and 60 minutes. Now the tip all Unilocalers should know — when order when there is a wait to be seated– order something that is «all you can eat» so the staff will bring refills faster.(they they want the table for other customers more than controlling the cost of refills)

I despise chain restaurants but was dragged here since we couldn’t find anything better by our hotel. It was a nice, clean, typically Red Lobster. I ordered the Pacific King Crab Legs which were good. Nothing spectacular. However, I received some of the best service here ever. Austin, our server, was charismatic, helpful, always available, but not annoyingly lurking. As a cute touch, he had the manager make a server name tag for one of my coworkers daughter. This guy could work in an upscale restaurant and fit right in.
