Brick is now my favorite, go-to restaurant in Carlisle. I have been at least 5x now, and each experience is fantastic. The owners are amazing and always working alongside other wait and host staff. Maura, the owner, makes me a killer jalapeño cocktail w vodka, a variation on a cocktail on their drink menu. I’ve had the fish tacos, sea bass, balsamic chips and a few other dishes. The fish tacos are my favorite, and it is very difficult, dare I say impossible, to order anything else. Tender, perfectly grilled whitefish is like none you’ll find elsewhere — any fish tacos I have tried since at other restaurants just can’t hold a candle to these!

Brick is a must while in Carlisle! Great food, friendly staff, fun atmosphere and great location. The owners are very hands on. They see every dish that comes out of the kitchen. Try the lobster roll, salmon club, stuffed acorn squash or tomato bisque. Vegans and meat eaters alike will find something to enjoy. Try the hand crafted cocktails, unique and tasty.

I keep giving Mark and Co. another chance. Yet, another mediocre experience! Raw onion on two different dishes, after one of our party, who is highly allergic, asked for none! Dry as a bone chicken, and cold fries. Who could ask for anything more? Oh, and 2.25 upcharge for a martini? Huh? So just charge me $ 8.50 for it already! Brought all to waitresses’ attention. Got an «I’m sorry.» Yep that makes it right. Steeerike three!

Went for lunch with a friend and I had my baby in a stroller since I walked from home. They were very accommodating and made sure I was at a table that my baby could be next to me in it as he was too young for a high chair. Everyone was also very sweet to my baby(waiters and management) even when he was a little loud. I would definitely recommend this place to eat because of the yummy food and also for the very respectful wait staff. I will be definitely visiting again!

This place is great. I found it while searching Unilocal on a road trip. I was driving through PA and was looking for a good place to eat near the interstate. This place was not disappointing. Compared to other restaurants in the area I believe this is probably the best in Carlisle. I had the beef short ribs wrapped in a puff pastry, served with baked mac and cheese. My friends ate the Groper sandwich and the Baby Spinach Salad served with nuts and strawberries. For deserts we ordered an apple tart, peanut butter cake, and a gluten free lava cake. The food was delicious. We ordered coffees with the lunch and a fresh batch was made just for us. For 3 lunches, 3 coffees, 3 deserts, tax and tip, we spent $ 100. The restaurant was a mix of modern and rustic, casual, clean and friendly. On-street parking was simple. If I lived in the area I’d definately go back.

This restaurant has decent atmosphere, but the food seems to have been an afterthought. My wife and I both got chicken entrees. I got a buffalo chicken sandwich, she got the blackened chicken Caesar salad. The chicken on both was very dry. The Caesar dressing tasted very bought vs. made. The wine selection for my wife was fairly thin, and the on-tap beer features all the standard chain restaurant beers, and nothing particularly intriguing. It wasn’t very expensive, food came quickly, but it did take forever for us to get the check. I think we each had a drink and a dish and it came out to around $ 30 or $ 40, which is probably a bit more than the food was worth, but not outrageous. My biggest complaint is that they menu is not focused or unique. They wanted it to feel like a really chic restaurant, and they succeeded on the atmosphere, but not on the literal bread and butter of a dining establishment: The food. It is the proverbial jack of all trades, master of none, but in restaurant form. When I go out to eat, I don’t go to downtown Carlisle thinking I want a place where I can get buffalo chicken, salad, steak, shrimp, quesadillas, burgers, fish tacos, seafood, burrito, or pasta. I’m looking for a restaurant, not Applebees.

The Brick has phenomenal food! The service is great. One thing I really enjoy seeing is the owner is there making sure things get done right which is big to have a successful restaurant! So if your passing through or have family in town take them here! This is my #1 pick for food in Carlisle.

Wow. What a great new find to the area. I normally don’t go to Carlisle but heard good things about this place. Lively place. Completely full on Friday night. Great service and very good food. The tuna tataki was fantastic. Also loved the beet salad and the fish tacos. Mussels hit the spot as well.

Great place. Good food. Nice staff. Excellent mixers. Fantastic patio. Smaller selection but tasty. Last time we were there I was glad we were leaving when the table next to us lit up cigars and stunk up the patio. If they are taking reservations when you go, definitely make one.

Nothing really special about the food. The atmosphere is great though! Seems like a good place for a date. Beet salad– most tasty thing I got but something I could make at home Buffalo chicken sandwich– good, nothing crazy Caprese tower– tomatoes were okay, not enough basil, very yummy mozzarella

Like most of the other reviews, the 4 stars is for the food. Delicious! I had the baked brie, the loli pop lamb chops, and a house salad. Others in my party had the fish tacos, the fried mozzarella, the meatballs, a Caesar salad, and house salad with shrimp. Everything was absolutely delicious. The person who ordered the fish tacos doesn’t like cilantro, and he was able to get them without it, and the kitchen got the order right! The cocktails were also very good. We sampled the pineapple martini, the seasonal red sangria, a Moscow mule, the LIT, and the seasonal Mojita. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. The prices are a bit on the high side, more than we care to spend on dinner on a routine basis. But the food is so good, I’m sure we’ll go back. Also, as others have reported, the place is incredibly loud. The owners seriously need to look into some sound abatement. The only down side was the service. The waiter said he was new, but there were some missteps; he brought us our drinks and then disappeared for a while — before he took our order. He tried to take away my cocktail before I finished it(not cool). All the food came out at once, except the baked brie, but it was delivered shortly thereafter. I would have preferred a more balanced delivery, or at least to have been asked how we’d like the food to come(salds, first, or apps first, etc.). The place was pretty bust, and some of the fault could be in the kitchen, some with our new waiter. It was a little frustrating, but as I said, I’m sure we’ll go back. Especially if I can find a coupon or discount!

LOVE Brick! Consistently delicious food and great service! It is often crowded, and when it is, it can be noisy. But I prefer that to a lifeless place! Who wants everyone else listening to your conversation? The patio is lovely if you need quiet. We’ve toured the menu, and my favorites include the lobster roll, lamp chop lollipops, flatbread, and the CHIPS with balsamic glaze, blue cheese, and bacon… mmmmmm… Drinks are delicious and made with care. Lavender collins? Don’t mind if I do! Generally they have specials on the board for vegetarians, too. Good stuff!

Gave the Brick a try today and what a good choice it was. I’ve known the owner for quite some time so when I saw he was opening this place I had to give it a go. I opted for the Fish tacos and that certainly was not a mistake. They are probably THE best fish tacos I have ever had. Will def have again. The restaurant itself is quite nice. It’s a smaller establishment but it’s certainly not cramped décor is subtle and classy. Out back they have a nice open patio you can opt to sit at. Menu is simple and not overpopulated. Maybe a total of 25 items ranging from sammiches to full platters. Definitely a place I would recommend to locals and even some out of towners looking for a new hole in the wall.

First time in with a large group. Service was excellent handling lots of drinks, apps, and dinner. Fresh mozzarella in the caprice salad was incredible. Fish tacos were the bomb. Wife had the sea bass and loved it. Others had the salmon club and said it was great. Reuben looked great as it went by. Lots of light in the dining room, and the back patio is great especially after the sun goes down. Parking right out back is free. Portions are perfect and presentation is top notch. Will be back.

We were so excited to find this brand new restaurant in Carlisle. We shared a lollipop pork chop small plate with a cucumber mint sauce and it was so very good. My husband’s filet mignon was perfection and his side salad and grilled zucchini were tasty as well. My fish tacos(grilled fish with slaw, cilantro, yum yum sauce and siracha) were the BEST fish tacos I’ve ever had; so much flavor! The bar was great, too. Jack and Coke for him, delicious mojito for me. They have bar seating at the back of the restaurant– adjacent to an open kitchen(which I love). They also have a fabulous patio out back but it was rainy when we were there so we only took a peek. Our waitress was fast, efficient, and friendly. We even got to meet the owner who stopped by to help us pick just the right drinks. This was a wonderful dining experience for us. I just wish we were staying in Carlisle longer enjoy this place even more. Highly recommend!
